Sissy's Scrap Free For All Themed Challenge#1!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!!

It's time for another Sissy's Scrap Challenge!!! :)
This week's Free For All Themed Challenge is...
PLAY BALL!!!

It's an open theme based on Balls! (LOL!)
It can be anything from circles, playing with a ball, round objects, sports, etc...

Now, if y'all know me - I don't like or do well with anything involving circles! LOL! and yet, I was the one who chose the theme! I just had to challenge myself and get over my fear of round things ;) LOL! SO silly!!!

I made 2 layouts...
Here's a layout for Matt:I loved working with the All Stars Digi Stamps! I am new to the whole Digi thing... I was able to make the stamps any size! I printed them out in black and white, since at first, I wasn't sure if I wanted any color... I ended up using my Copics :) I love how bold they are!I adore these lil stick-figure's! I must get more ;)
Look at Matt's face! Concentrating so hard... I really think that he's trying not to laugh :) rather than trying to catch the ball! LOL!
Here's a layout for Nicky:
OhMyGosh! Look at that serious, determined face! He is really loving baseball! His first practice and game is tonight :)
(2) 12x12 Layout Details:
Paper(s): White Bazzill; Paper House Productions - Baseball; Frances Meyer - Bulk, Baseballs.

Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge #29

The very sweet and talented Tonya of Stamp Happens, also the leader of our pack ;)
chose our theme for this week...

Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge # 29...
Bella and Jacob's Friendship

"Bella and Jake have a very special kind of friendship. Jacob was there for Bella when she needed someone to bring sunshine into her life. Jacob was a caring and loving friend to Bella. Although Jacob viewed Bella romantically, Jacob did not imprint upon Bella. Jacob could never have loved Bella the way Bella loved Edward or Edward loved Bella. But they could be the best of friends. The could love each other in deeply passionate friendship kind of way."

Craft Portion:
Make a project celebrating your best friend. Or Jake and Bella's friendship.
Comment Portion:
Do you have a best friend whom you love passionately (in a friendship kind of way)? What makes your friendship so special?
Don't forget to leave your comments and link your creations back to Twilight Tuesday! and if using another forum, please use keyword TTIC29.

Bella needed something to help get her life going on... here's a pic that Bella posted up on her wall! Something to look at everyday to remind her that she wasn't alone and that there were things to look forward to...
I think that I have mentioned (a lot) how my Ma and lil sis are my bestest friends eva!!! ;)
But, believe it or not, but my hubs and I are too! lol! I don't mention him too much 'cause he's a private kind of guy... but we do have that kind of connection were we can talk about anything; and we have that weird connection were you don't even need to talk to each other, just by staring at each other, we can have a full length conversation - we kinda freaked out our mattress salesperson a week ago - we barely talked and were able to make a decision without even talking about it, lol! Sometimes the look says it all ;)
Details:
Paper(s): Karen Foster Design Adhesive Cork Sheet; Stampin Up White Confetti
Stamp(s): Unity KOTM
Ink(s): Craft Smart Black; Stampin Up Pumpkin Pie

Swappin' Scrap Swaps and Amazing News!!!

TGIF!!! I know, I'm cutting it close, but it technically is still Friday ;)
I had so many things planned to make and share with y'all, but this cold really knocked me out for the past couple of days and I needed to just step back a bit and re-prioritize myself ;) We are all finally feeling much better and are looking forward to a gorgeous weekend!

So for tonight, I'd like to show y'all the amazing swaps that I received last week for participating in Sara's Swappin' Scraps over at PCP!

First up, this was the Alpha Inchie Swap! I made the letter's M and N... I just now realized that I photographed the letters B and S upside down! I'm so sorry! oops! ;) I guess I took a bit too much cold medicine yesterday {blushing}Second, here's the Cupcake Swap!
We were to make anything Cupcake themed!
I really love how not one is similar to the other at all! Amazing creations!
... and again, the meds got to me, I left my own out of the pic! LOL!
... and last, the Journal Block Swap!
I already have plans for all of these! I've written it all down, so I won't forget what pics and layouts I want to create with these! Very helpful to have these Journal Blocks handy - especially since I am so bad with adding any type of journaling to my layouts!
Now for some really cool news!!!...
My lil sissy, Sara of Scrap Happie!, has done it again!!!
She has created another new swap group over at Unity Place!!!
You must stop by...

In order to participate in these swaps, you MUST use at least 1 Unity product on your creations!
Here are the current swaps going on for the month of May:
#1 - Woman in Your Life Cards: Create a card for the inspirational woman in your life!

#2 - Springtime ATCs: Create an ATC based on what spring is to you!

#3 - Inspirational Butterfly Tags: Create a tag with a butterfly and an inspirational saying.

#4 - Twilight Unite!: Create a postcard promoting your team (Edward or Jacob) with these awesome Twilight stamps by Unity

C'mon Unity addicts! Don't even think about it!
- jump over and join in on all the fun!!! :)

I hope to be back sometime over the weekend...
to share some yummy RAK's that I have received
from some wonderful new friends... and also -
I've won some prizes!!!
Great 'cheer me up' after this rough and tough week I've had!
Oh! and the whole family is very excited!!!
Tomorrow we are all going to Nicky's first T'ball meet!
It's his first year playing a sport! ;)
Tomorrow is just a meet and greet...
lil parade, meet the other team members, pickup his uniform, etc.
- but it's so exciting to see our lil boy growing up!
I'm going to have a ton of pics to add to 365 ;)
Enjoy your weekend :*)

Sissy's Scrap Anything Challenge #1 by Sara

Good Wednesday to y'all! We're back with another Sissy's Scrap Challenge!!!
This week's challenge has been chosen by lil sissy, Sara...

Anything BUT a layout or card themed by your favorite book!!!

So, anything means... an ATC, Bookmark, Tag, etc.

Favorite book??? OhMyGosh!!! How was I suppose to narrow that down??? LOL!
Now, I know what y'all are thinking... but I've decided to give Edward and all the other vamps a lil vacay ;)
... and I won't even get into Harry right now either, LOL!

Here's my newest fave...
The Time Traveler's Wife
by Audrey Neffenegger
Here's a tidbit from the book:
"Henry suffers from Chrono-Impairment—a quasi-medical condition that catapults him, unwillingly, from one random point in time to another. Clare first meets him in 1977, when she is six and he materializes near her parents’ garden as a thirty-six-year-old from the year 2000; he returns regularly throughout her childhood from different times in their shared future. At last, when Clare is twenty and Henry is twenty-eight, they meet in his present, and their relationship begins. But romance proves even trickier than usual when one person keeps vanishing to distant, and occasionally dangerous, times."
"This is far from a science fiction exploration of the space-time continuum, but a heartfelt love story of two people who must live with this curse as part of their lives."
"Why is love intensified by absence?"
~ Clare Abshire, "The Time Traveler's Wife"

Here's my bookmark... Here's the backside... when Henry time travels, he is never sure as to where or what year he is going to...
... and I also made a Tag...
Here's the front...... and here's the back...
Bookmark and Tag Details:
Paper(s): Stampin Up Kraft CS; Frances Meyer "Studious" DP; Paper Pizazzz "Brown Definitions" and "Clouds"; Deja View Fresh Verse "Inspirations"; Unknown "Writing" DP.
Stamp(s): K&Company Marcella Condensed Alpha Stamp Set
Ink(s): Colorbox Blackbird Ink; Spica Black Glitter Marker.
Accessories: Misc. Eyelets and Ribbon.
I am really looking forward to seeing what everyone's fave books are ;)
Thanks for stopping by ;)
