Another one to share...

This one was written over a year ago and published in a poetry magazine... it's still one of my faves that occasionally pops back into my head...
I have to admit, I always hesitate before hitting the 'Publish Post' button... my poems do mark specific moments in my life - whether it was life-altering or not... it's not an easy thing to do sometimes...
I have cards and layouts that reflect private moments too, I packed those away today... maybe when I unpack them I'll take some time to take pics and share... we shall see ;)
Seeking the Sun
Fire burning in the sky
Way up high
Far to touch
Ever glowing is your warmth
Why, Oh why?
Out of reach
My love for you is what I preach
Tell me sir - When will I know?
What I hold so close to me
Will be returned?
Warmth on me beaming brightly
Within my sight softly hugging
Needing to be loved so deeply
Is what I need
Brilliant rays soaking through
For eternity
Bleed for me
My glowing sun

Hmmm, when it was published it caused a bit of a stir and received mixed interpretations - sad, hope, desire...
Let me know what y'all think :)

BTW - Moving day is Saturday!!! Yea!!! As of the minute I wake up - I won't be around much, tons of stuff to do... but I do have some posts that I scheduled ahead of time!

Missing y'all already :*)

Just In Case... Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge#40 - Blue

Just in case ;) Here's Twilight Tuesday's Inspiration Challenge #40!!!

BLUE

Edward loves Bella in blue ;)

“That color blue looks lovely with your skin,”
he said, watching me.
I was surprised;
I looked down, flushing, of course.”
Bella Swan, Twilight, pg 148.

Craft Portion: This week's challenge is simple… create anything you want focusing on the color blue and hopefully, Twilight related ;)

Comment Portion: What’s your favorite color to wear and why? Are there any colors that you just hate wearing?

Don't forget to check out the Twilight chickies ;)

Late Night Poetry Posting...

... Ugh! It's past midnight and I'm still up! LOL! I'm so wired to get things done, I've been having a hard time winding down and getting to bed at a decent time!

With most of my own things already packed, I don't have an outlet to create and express myself - which is hard due to the fact that creating/blogging and reading is what I have come to depend on to relieve stress and relax ;)

As I am coming soooo very close to my 1 year blogoversary :) I realized that I had wanted to use this blog for so much more than scrapping and cardmaking...

Sooo, now I introduce to you another side of my bumbling ol' self... a side of me that remained quiet for a few years - I don't know why, maybe I was too busy? or just didn't have anything to say??? I've never really shared my poetry and drawings with people, other than family... but finding my old notebooks and drawing pads triggered something in me... and I actually wanted to share it :)

... this is what came out of me tonight ;)

Enjoy Your Wings

Would you like to go for a walk now
and pass through these lonely gates
Where would you like to go for a walk now
Have you thought as to where you would lay

Let’s look for the moonlight
Shining down on your long lost path
What plans do you think you deserve now
Let's read the lines in between your tears

Why would you like to go for a walk now
Stop questioning what you deserve
Have you ever felt so alone now
Lay your head down next to mine

How would you like to go for a walk now
Lets get together and look for the light
The moon is waiting for your show now
Stand tall and scream out your desires

Let's skip down the road to nowhere
and leave all your troubles behind
Hold my hand and let the air touch your insides
Let love guide your mind to the sky

Hmmm... so, what do you think???

Comments, criticism and your interpretations are most welcomed!

... but I must say that I am definitely not no English major of any kind, lol!
I just go with the flow... like a storyteller ;)

Hope you likey :)

Twilight Tuesday Bonus Challenge with The Greeting Farm!

Woo Hoo! How exciting is this!?!?
Twilight Tuesday is mingling with The Greeting Farm to celebrate the release of their new Wild Sprouts “Edward” stamp!!!

Who can resist lil' Eddie?!?!
Most of you already know - he is my MOST FAVORITE STAMP in the universe!!! ;)

Craft Portion: Create a piece using the classic Twilight color scheme of Red, Black, White and/or Silver, AND you must use a stamp from The Greeting Farm to play along.

Comment Portion: "So many of us turn to these classic colors for Twilight projects, which are clearly inspired by the covers of the books. However, we’d like to know if you have other favorite colors to use for Twilight projects. Do you have any other interesting colors that you like to use?"

Tell us about it!!! Leave your comment on the Twilight Tuesday bonus challenge post!

Ummm... so, I think that I mentioned that this is my fave stamp ;) EVA!!!
So, I went a bit overboard with my lil' Edward stamp and I have 5 cards to share with you!!! YES! You read that right! 5!!!
hee, hee! I had a lil help from 2 lil mini-designers ;)

Here's my first card... Oh! and keep in mind... Alice designed all of his clothes! hee hee
Isn't he the cutest lil guy in the whole entire world!?
I used Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #95 for this card...

It's hard trying to keep the cards as masculine as possible! Now that I know how to tie bows {yea!!!}, I really wanted to add it on... and then, I didn't want the flower to be too flowery, lol, so I altered it a bit by cutting the petals down...
"Bite Me" Card Details:
Paper(s): Bazzill; Making Memories Starry DP; misc. stripe DP.
Stamp(s): The Greeting Farm's "Edward" Stamp; Artful INKables "Bite Me" Sentiment.
Ink(s): Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Copics; Atyou Spica Glitter Markers; Stampin Up Markers.
Accessories: Altered Prima Flowers; Dew Drop; Making Memories "Black Tie" Silver Ribbon.
On each card, you might notice that lil' Edward goes through some skin and hair changes! I was trying to figure out which colors work best for the ultimate "Edward look-a-like"!
Here's my 2nd card...
I made up my own sketch for this card :) I've never done that before!
This card is my 5yo's fave one!
He thinks that this is the one that looks the most vamp-y!
Vampy Card Details:
Paper(s): Bazzill; Misc. DP.
Stamp(s): The Greeting Farm's "Edward" Stamp
Ink(s): Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Copics; Atyou Spica Glitter Markers; Stampin Up Markers.
Accessories: Making Memories Brads; Misc. Ribbon.
... and here's my 3rd card!
Hmmm, looking at him now... we don't think he looks so Edward-like... his hair is too light...
Is that you, Jasper??? ;)
"Jasper-y" Card Details:
Paper(s):
BasicGrey; Bazzill.
Stamp(s): The Greeting Farm's "Edward" Stamp; Artful INKables Sentiment Stamp.
Ink(s): Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Copics; Atyou Spica Glitter Markers; Stampin Up Markers.
Accessories: Misc. brads and flowers; Fiskar Lace Corner Punch.
So, which card do you think looks like Edward the most???

Several members of the Twilight Tuesday DT will be playing along,
Please visit their blogs to see their creations!

Now, I would like to introduce to you to my 2 mini-designers... Nicky and Matt :)
Here's Nicky's card!
Nicky has seen the beginning of the movie up to the part where Eggward "flips" the apple scene!
"Ma! That is the coolest thing ever!!!"
Everytime he sees an apple - he kicks it across the room!
Being 5 1/2 years old, he is very observant!
See closely, lil Eggward is wearing the same clothes as Eggward-doll AND see Apple DP AND the buttons represent Eggwards fave colors!!!
LOL!
Here's Matt's card!
Being that he just turned 3, he has never seen the movie,
but he wanted to make a card too since Big Bro had so much fun creating his ;)
All Matt really wanted to do was hold Eggward-doll, LOL!
... but then he finally decided and said...

"Eggward needs that flower paper, Mommy! It will make him happy!"

Who can argue with that??? LOL!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Happy Wednesday :)
