Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge 48

Happy Twilight Tuesday, Twilighters!!!

This week's challenge is all about the Bond Between Brothers...

"As the New Moon movie release approaches we are seeing amazing pictures of the Wolfpack who become Jacob's Brothers. In New Moon the wolf pack play an important part in Jacob's life and the effect they have on the Quilute community. This also affects the Cullen family, they have a treaty with the Cullens and in time see that they all need to work together to rid Forks of the bad Vamps. This week we will be focusing on the Bond between brothers and how we apply that to our human lives. Women can lean on each other and we are strong all on our own but now and again we need that males presence as a brother, husband, best friend as a grounding force...as a safe place to be. We see that in Bella's need for Jacob."

Craft Portion: Make something that reflects brotherhood... Be inspired by the wolf pack, Edward and Jasper/Emmitt, even the relationship between Bella and Jacob. Make a scrapbook page, a card for your brother or maybe a book for that special guy in your life. Celebrate brothers in any way you would like.

Comment Portion: Talk about the brotherhood in your life... Do you have an amazing brother that has been there for you thick and thin? Do you have the best guy friends that have your back when times get rough?

I have a few projects that I created for this challenge! 2 cards, a layout and a mini-album - but the mini-album will have to wait until tomorrow ;) I didn't get it finished and I know it is going to take me forever to take pics, etc! LOL! I believe that the bond between two brothers is unbreakable - no matter what the circumstances are - you can never tear them apart!

I chose the relationship between Jasper and Edward... they understand and respect each other the most, even after the "birthday incident" - Edward is forgiving and understands Jasper's weaknesses...Edward and Jaspers' relationship reminds me of my two lil guys :)

My boys are united beyond blood and brotherhood! They have twin-like characteristics... Nicky can practically read Matt's mind and always knows what Matt is going to say and do next - "Watch out Mom, Matt is going to run!" and sure enough, there goes Matt running down the sidewalk laughing at me! Nicky always knows what Matt needs before Matt even knows, LOL!Same goes for Matt! He feels everything Nicky is feeling - even when they're not with each other... Last Friday, while Nicky was at school, Matt came up to me and said, "Mommy, I think Nicky is sickie - let's go check his head..." - meaning his temperature... I told him that Nicky is on his way home now on the bus and that he should be okay since the school didn't call me with any complaints... as soon as we saw Nicky, I knew he wasn't feeling very well - and the fever didn't pop up 'til Saturday! They have each other's back! Always looking out for one another! If someone gives them a lollipop, they make sure to grab one for the other - and if the can't, well then they don't take one! ... well, sometimes Matt still does, but he won't eat it in front of his brother, unless his brother has some sort of special treat too ;) ... and this lil Halloween image is sooo my Nicky and Matt! They still haven't decided what they want to dress-up for this Halloween - they usually pair up with something cute... like... one year they were Batman & Robin, another year they were Transformers, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee... sooo, I'm looking forward to seeing what their theme will be this year ;)

Thanks for stopping by :)

Trying to catch up while taking a break...

Happy late Thursday ;)
Yes! I'm still here, kinda, lol! I've been feeling better, but really tired and wiped out. So, I've been taking it easy and just trying to catch up on all of my half-a$$ projects ;)
Yes, I am a combo of two bad personality traits - procrastinator and starting things and then not finishing them in an appropriate allotted time frame... sometimes they get finished and sometimes they get re-used onto other projects ;) lol! I'm being really honest here! I have 6 cards, 4 layouts and use to be 3, but now 2 altered items and one mini album to finish!!!
So, this list is my to-do list!!! and I won't start anything new until they are ALL done ;)

Sooo, here's something I started last month... and just finished today! Yippee!!!
I altered a tin that was the packaging to some SU felt flowers that I had received in a RAK... Until today, all it had was the dp on it...
I think that I am finally getting use to using my blender now ;)
Here's the inside! I decided to create and give this as a belated B'day gift to someone - who doesn't love a whole tin full of Greeting Farm images ;) Altered Tin Details:
Paper(s): Me & My Big Ideas DP; Papertrey Ink White CS; SU Green CS
Stamp(s): The Greeting Farm Tennis Anya Digital Stamp
Ink(s): Copics
Accessories: Prima Flowers; The Robin's Nest Dew Drops; Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder; Small Round Nestabilities; Creative Memories Round Corner Punch.
Thanks for stopping by today :)
FYI!!!
Ontop of everything else that has been going on around me...
I may be having some "technical difficulties" for the next 2 or 3 week's - personal reasons...
I won't be posting as much until everything is solved ;)
Hope y'all will understand and will be patient with me!!!
Thanks!!! :*)

Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge 47

Good morning and Happy Twilight Tuesday!!!
This week's Twilight Tuesday Challenge is all about...

Mary Alice Brandon - Her History

"Before Alice had met the Cullen family, she was known as Mary Alice Brandon. We don’t know too many details about Alice’s life before the events of the Twilight saga occur, but if you would like a refresher on her past, visit the Twilight Saga Wiki here..."

Challenge Portion: to depict an aspect of Alice’s history. (TTIC47)

Comment Portion: talk a bit about Alice’s gift. Would you like to possess her ability to see the future? Do you think that that would be a blessing or a curse??? I have been wanting to use this Provo Craft Pink Embossed DP forever! I think that it is perfect for Alice!!! The embossing looks like a chaotic swirly mess! Kind of what I picture Alice's life was like before becoming a vampire... back then if you spoke of anything out of the ordinary, you were shunned from society. I believe that Alice had a loving family that tried to help and deal with her 'awkwardness'... hence the beautiful appearance of the ribbon and her name, but Alice's inner beauty was always struggling to scream and leak out - which is what I tried to recreate using the rough, embossed pink edges, blackness of the shadowed flowers and the distressed pop-up flower... Alice Card Details: Paper(s): ProvoCraft Texture Pink Lemonade; Anna Griffin Black Flower Acetate; Recollections Black CS. Ink(s): SU Chocolate Chip Ink for added distressing. Accessories: Making Memories Black Tie Trim; American Crafts Lullaby Alpha Stickers; Creative Imaginations Cafe Gem.

Don't forge to stop by Twilight Tuesday's Blog and Forum :)
