Oh, Alice! Chapter 15: Swirling in our little Wonderland

New ideas are SWIRLING... doors are opening...
all in our little WONDERLAND...

"It's no use talking about it," Alice said, looking up at the house and pretending it was arguing with her.
"I'm not going in again yet. I know I should have to get through the Looking-glass again -- back into the old room -- and there'd be an end of all my adventures!"
So, resolutely turning back upon the house, she set out once more down the path, determined to keep straight on till she got to the hill. For a few minutes all went on well, and she was just saying, "I really shall do it this time -- " when the path gave a sudden twist and shook itself (as she described it afterwards), and the next moment she found herself actually walking in at the door..."

It's officially the weekend, Happy Saturday!!!
Everyone at Oh, Alice! today is so excited as we enter through a new door here at Oh, Alice! There are always twists and turns down Alice's path, and with that, we have some good news, even some sad news, but we are all looking forward to our next Chapter here in WONDERLAND!

Today we are also excited to welcome...
LITTLE PAPER SHOP
... as our Sponsor! The very generous Julia has not only let the DT play with this adorably cute ALICE digi stamp, but is offering a $15 Gift Certificate to the LPS shop to one lucky winner this week! We can't thank Julia enough for this fabulous sponsorship and can't wait to see your creations this week.

Our Challenge this week is a fun one! Since we have so many ideas "SWIRLING" around in our heads here and can't wait to bring you the next three months worth of challenges, we can't wait to see what YOU have swirling about! USE SWIRLS on your card/project this week. You can use DP, stamps, bling, whatever swirls up your own creativity!

Here's my card...
I also used Little Paper Shop's Color Challenge of Pink, Kraft and Blue

My swirls were added with a Fiskar punch ;)
Hee hee, almost forgot about the swirls, oops! I was so excited to use this lovely Alice image from Little Paper Shop and Papers from my Cherry On Top kit, that I totally got distracted with what I had to do ;) I also had a bit of a coloring accident, so I ended up coloring the top of her lil apron blue too! I think it blends in well... sorry ;)

You have until Friday, June 4th at 8pm CST to upload your card/creation HERE!!!
One random winner will be chosen to WIN the Little Paper Shop gift certificate and announced here next week on the Blog! GOOD LUCK!!!

And a huge congrats to Lynne!!!
Lynne will be joining us for the month as our JUNE Tea Party Guest!

Pink Chocolate Roses and an Oops ;)

Howdy friends :)
It seems that I took a bit of an unintentional break for a few days... my mojo has been playing games with me and it has been a bit frustrating trying to get things rolling again... it's the actual 'putting the card' together part that has me stumped! Maybe I have too many options to play with... or, and I like this answer better ;) Maybe I don't have enough things to choose from, hee hee!

So, I took a look around the ol' blogosphere this morning, and found a few challenges to play along with... I purchased this Hope and Grace set from The Greeting Farm ages ago and I have only used one of the sentiments! It was time to give these lil girlies some color... Here are the challenges I used for my first card...

Club Anya's Wild Card Wednesday Challenge - Pink Chocolate Rose
and inspiration from...
Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #114

I decided to pull out my Greeting Farm DP too!
Toss on a doilie, some flowers and girlie up the card for her!

For my next card, I did an "Ooops!", lol! I had forgotten that Club Anya's Manic Monday Challenge was not only to use the colors Orange, Pink and Blue, but to also use NO DP!!!
Oh, well, maybe next time... thanks for the inspiration ;)
I'd like to enter my very filled DP card ;) to The Pink Elephant Color Challenge #68 - Orange

I wanted to give this one a tomboy-ish girly look! I'm not sure if I managed that, but I really like how cute it turned out :)

Hope you likey! and I hope that this gets my mojo to cooperate and let me get my creative boogey on ;)
Enjoy your night!
Gotta run!!! We're off for some major T-Ball action ;)
Later gators!!!

Oh, Alice! is Gettin' Sketchy...

"Little bread-and-butterflies kiss the tulips, and the sun is like a toy balloon.
There get up in the morning glories, in the golden afternoon.
There are dizzy daffodils on the hillside, strings of violets are all in tune,
Tiger lilies love the dandy lions, in the golden afternoon,
the golden afternoon.
There are dog and caterpillars and a copper centipede,
where the lazy daisies love the very peaceful life they lead... "

Hey everyone!
Oh, Alice has a wonderful Sketch for you today designed by our very own Jen Shults! Our sketch comes with just a small twist this week....
Ok, its HUGE!

ONE PLAYER will be chosen this week based on all of the entries... (and we know it's going to be TOUGH!!!) to be our...
JUNE GUEST TEA PARTY MEMBER for Oh, Alice!
That's right! The DT will be feverishly going through your creations to choose next month's Guest DT, so if you've been wanting to come and be our Guest at our totally TWISTED Tea Party, now is your chance!

The Oh,Alice! contest will be open until THURSDAY May 26th at 11:59 PM CST (please notice the earlier time limit this week just so we can have time to go over entries, contact the winner, and announce them by our next Challenge on the 28th!) to enter your creation.

Here is my card!!!

I drew some major inspiration from 4 different places for my card :)
First, Jen's sketch tweaked just a bit to fit everything ;)

Then! Randi (Dark Mermaid) reminded me of THIS awesome paper that I had "borrowed" from my lil sister and have been holding onto forever!!! And I do admire Randi's coloring sooo much! I just had to give my lil sprout, Ebony, some awesome pink hair :)

Next! Ever since I landed on THIS blog post by fellow DT member, Kristy (Delicious Papercrafting), I have been in love with her style and her use of - doilies!!! I just purchased a few packets of doilies today, so I just had to add one in - or at least half of one, lol!

And fourthly! To finish my card off! The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge #3 - Use black flowers and skulls on your project! The perfect finishing touches ;)

Thank you ALL sooo much for helping me out!!!
