Oh, Alice! Chapter 24: Windows and Broken Glass...

"Now tell me, Pat, what's that in the window?'
`Sure, it's an arm, yer honour!' (He pronounced it `arrum.')
`An arm, you goose! Who ever saw one that size? Why, it fills the whole window!'
`Sure, it does, yer honour: but it's an arm for all that.'
`Well, it's got no business there, at any rate: go and take it away!"

There was a long silence after this, and Alice could only hear whispers now and then; such as,
`Sure, I don't like it, yer honour, at all, at all!'
`Do as I tell you, you coward!'
and at last she spread out her hand again, and made another snatch in the air. This time there were TWO little shrieks, and more sounds of broken glass.
`What a number of cucumber-frames there must be!' thought Alice.
`I wonder what they'll do next! As for pulling me out of the window, I only wish they COULD! I'm sure I don't want to stay in here any longer!"

Good morning and Hello Friends!...it's CRYSTAL CLEAR that today you're all joining us for a fabulous challenge here at Oh, Alice! We have all sorts of lovely techniques for you to try today!

Your mission today with Oh, Alice!, should you choose to accept it, is to try a technique using cracked glass, crystal effects (or glossy accents), or a window stamp/technique. There are TONS of possibilities with today's challenge and we are SO ready to see all of the fabulous creations you enter!

I tried to do the "cracked glass" technique, soooo was not happening for me, LOL!
So, I broke out my trusty Crystal Effects from SU! I've had the bottle for over a year! I love it and should use it more often ;)

Look! More Kraft :)  First, as you can see, I created my own background using a Tim Holtz stamp set that I "borrowed" from my lil sister ;) It's called "Regal Flourish"... ink is SU Chocolate Chip... I couldn't find a suitable DP for how I wanted my card to look... what do you think???

The image is "Time For Tea", a digital image from Tiddly Inks! I LOVE her! I used the Crystal Effects on her headband and shoes, to give her an ol' fashion patent leather look and the clock's  face is all nice and shiny too!... see pic below...

I have been desperately trying to use up all of my scraps! This card measures 4 1/4 x 4 1/4, all cardstock (and button) is from Papertrey Ink; You can see that I used the lil scrap leftover from where I nestie-d the circle out! I used it as a lil peep-hole for the tiny Alice stamp! This stamp and the sentiment are from TJ Designs "Down the Hole" Rubber Stamp Set... and the gorgeous pale blue plaid ribbon is from MFT!

I would also like to enter my card to the following challenges:
- Tiddly Inks Challenge #15: Fit For a Princess
- Dare U 2 Digi Stamp Sketch Challenge #43
- OTWC Challenge# 18: Blue, Yellow and White (Black/Creme)
Scrappy Saturday Challenge #15: Stamp Something!

I hope you likey my card today!
We cannot wait to see what everyone will create this week!!!

There's no time limit to play this week but be sure to leave a direct LINK to your creation HERE so we can see your beautiful work. We'll be back next week with another challenge and wonderful theme!

Little Angel on Cloud...

It's Friday! Yea for everyone!
I have a super sweet lil angel to share today!

This lil one is from Marina Niera's new blog/store called The Stamping Bazaar! Most of us know her from those adorable images at The Greeting Farm!... and this lil cutie is called "Little Angel on Cloud". The moment I saw this image - I instantly fell in love with those freckles! I adore and love people that have freckles! Just love it!

When I was lil, I use to tell my Mom that when I grew up, I was going to marry a tall, red-headed, green/blue eyed and frecke-ly Chef! LOL! My hubs is a great cook, but he's a tad bit on the short side and 100% Italian! That's as close as I got to that one, LOL! ;)

Can you tell that I've been neglecting my other papers lately and really attacking my October Afternoon pad?! Love it!!! and I finally ordered some fresh Kraft CS! Yummmm! The rest is from an ol' cardkit I have laying about and some Prima flowers and pearls :)
Used my Copics, but the hair didn't come out to well, I am in need of some re-fills again... sigh... Oh, and I used my Clear Sparkle Spica Pen on the wings and clouds and forgot to take a pic! and the ribbon is covering up a slight boo-boo I did while using my Oval Nestie ;) Thank you!

I'm entering my card into the following challenges :)

- Flutterby Wednesday #115: Butterfly, Angel or Fairy
(Sorry! I turned it sideways!)

Hope you all likey!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful TGIF!!! :*)

"Katie for a Cure"

Good Thursday morning everybody!
{Please click HERE or scroll down a bit to see this week's Pixie Dust Studio's challenge,
Thank YOU!}
There is a new StampInsanity Stamp release
and a challenge collaboration with

Challenge #20 (SISC20) is a color combo of...
Pink and Black

I'd like to also enter my card to the following challenges:
- Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge #16 - Pink and Black
- My Time To Craft Challenge #100 - "Check It Out!"
(Look closely at the hearts and skulls are checked!)

Today's release is a special release, one that affects many people today and around the world...

From the owner of StampInsanity Stamps, Beth:

"Katie for a Cure is a very special set I designed to honor my cousin Kate, who earlier this year, at age 33, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Kate is the picture of health and vitality, and her spirit is magical. She has two very young children, and is in the prime of her life – which makes her diagnosis all the more distressing. As only Katie can, she is fighting this disease with the strength and grace of a pure champion. Her story is sadly not unique, but this is my Katie, and I had to do something. It is tragic, but I am sure that my family is not the only one to have this disease repeatedly rearing its head at us. It is my hope that together we will raise a donation that we can all be proud of. And if nothing else, Kate will get a smile from all the beautiful cards that you share with us. Thank you all in advance for your donations and your creations!"

This image and set for Katie and Breast Cancer is fabulous, you can tell that a lot of love went into creating this set :)  I really wanted to give my card a StampInsanity feel to it...
So, I pulled out some of my horded stash of Sassafras Lass DP and Papertrey Ink CS; added a doilie and May Arts Ribbon, some bling from Recollections and used up every single Pink-colored Copics that I own :)

I hope Beth, Katie and all of you likey as much as I do :)

Here's the entire digital set:

The cost for the set will be $10
with ALL proceeds benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Please be sure to visit the Groovy girls 'Pink and Black' creations...

And a huge thank you to the Fussy and Fancy DT for their groovy support!!!

I totally blew the "Navy Blue" part of the challenge, didn't I? Oops! Well, it's a kind of blue, right?! LOL! Sorry! Almost forgot the grey too, but made up with it using the pearls, even though they look kind of white-ish... sigh... so, I used October Afternoon DP and Papertrey Ink CS; Delicate Crochet Ribbon and Scalloped Scallops Die-namics, both from MFT; other dies from my Slice! and happy Copics to color the sweet image all in :) {Sentiment is from StampInsanity Stamps "Morgan's Star" Rubber Stamp Set using Memento Tuxedo Ink.}

Summer-time FUN!!!

I have a quickie Monday post :)
We had such a busy weekend full of fun stuff and also got stuck under a freaky storm yesterday, feeling the aches and pains of being drenched in very cold water, LOL! and today we 2 lil friends playing over for the afternoon! I love seeing how these ages (3 - 6 1/2) interact with each other! Too cute :)

So, here are some more of the cards that I created during my time with InStyle Stamp's Promo DT :)
Some summer-y themed cards! I had so much fun creating these!!!

This is "Surfer Dude" (a Retro Rubber Stamp)... isn't he handsome!

Here's "Sofie(an Anime Rubber Stamp)... I love how the gem swirl goes so well...
I really wish I had an airbrush system, would've made a really cool back ground to do some swirls or something... what do you think???

And "Tatiana" (an Anime Rubber Stamp)... I adore lil girls with any type of pony or pigtails! So cute!

That's it for now! I hope you likey them all :)
I have a HUGE scrappy mess to clean up! My mess is all over and under my desk, small shelf, a chair that I borrowed from my bedroom and now a quater of the living room floor! LOL! It's not fun to have to use my die-cutting machine on the floor! and I refuse to stretch out my mess even further, it's time to CLEAN UP!!! LOL!
Happy Monday everyone!!!

Oh, Alice! Chapter 23: Ravens and Writing Desks...

"The Hatter opened his eyes very wide on hearing this;
but all he said was, "Why is a raven like a writing-desk?"

"Come, we shall have some fun now!" thought Alice.
"I'm glad they've begun asking riddles. — I believe I can guess that," she added aloud.

"Do you mean that you think you can find out the answer to it?" said the March Hare.

"Exactly so," said Alice.

"Then you should say what you mean," the March Hare went on.

"I do," Alice hastily replied;
"at least--at least I mean what I say--that's the same thing, you know."

Good morning and hello everyone!
We are ready to FLY with this week's challenge here at
Oh, Alice!

This week, we challenge you to...
use BIRDS on your card or papercrafting project!

We may never know the answer to the riddle above, but while we're pondering that and life's little mysteries we may as well make a great card or two in the process, right?

My card is a bit different than what I am use to... though, I really love how it turned out! Who knew I could actually go with something that didn't involve coloring?! :)

I used one of my never-been-used-before "Where You Are" Scrapbooking Stamp Set by Unity! I won this set during one of their releases, and when I received it - I was in total awestruck! Such huge, beautiful and somewhat, intimidating stamps! What will I ever do with them other than to sit, stare and drool! ha!

I really love the bird cage and knew that I had to fit the sentiment on there too! Everything came together so perfectly! And the card is just a lil over 5x5 size! Love it :)

{Inside too!}

I used some scraps of PTI Kraft CS that I found in my closet {Yea! I love Kraft!!!}, October Afternoon Polka-dotted DP, Memento Tuxedo Ink (is there anything else?), Prima flowers, MFT Trimming and some of Tim Holtz ticket stubs...

There's no time limit to play this week,
but be sure to LINK your card or creation at the
Oh, Alice Challenge blog!!!

Please be sure to visit the very fun and twisted DT:

Jessica {The Mad Hatter} -

Inkin' It Up!

Wow! It feels good to get my fingers all inky and play with some rubber stamps again! The 4th time this week! Broken record!... actually, printer ran out of ink again, LOL! I'm not complaining! I really have missed actual hands-on stamping lately... Happy Thursday!

is a sketch created by Beth :)

I used the "Meet Morgan and Henry" Rubber Stamp Set...
Here's Henry! I used some good ol Cosmo Cricket for Henry; pulled out a strip of sewed up Kraft CS, a few buttons from a card kit I had running about, and mission accomplished :)
One very good-looking boy card!

... and next, is Morgan!

I used some October Afternoon DP from my TE Key Ingredients June Kit, found some good sized gems and Making Memories stretchy lace, added in my fave border punch and look how pretty Morgan is!
I also added some Crystal Effects to her glasses ;)

Won't you join in and play along with us this week?!?!
Here's the awesome sketch!!!

I hope you likey!

Now go on,
hop around and leave a lil lovin' to the rest of the DT :)

Pixie Dust Studio's "The Nutcracker" Release

Hi again! and Happy Holidays ;)
It's time for another digi release from Pixie Dust Studio!!!

Here's my card! I used the very new and beautiful
"Sugar Plum Fairy"
from "The Nutcracker" digital set...

I'd like to enter my card into these challenges too:
and
Sweet Sunday Sketch #78 - I turned the sketch upside down like this ;)

Miss Sugar Plum Fairy is stunning and very girlie! I had to dig into my stash and find her some very girlie Christmas-y colors and found my very depleted BasicGrey "Eskimo Kisses" 6x6 pad, added a white doilie and trims from Making Memories... I don't think we can get girlier than this ;)
I really do love the non-traditional Holiday colors!
I'm thinking that I could probably use this as a B'day, Thank You or Congrats card too ;)

Here is the entire release - available now at the Studio!

I hope you enjoyed this release too!
Please be sure to visit the rest of the DT's fab creations :)

Thanks for stopping by - Enjoy!!!

Bee Happy with Hansel

Happy Tuesday! I love Tuesdays -
it means we're done with Monday and heading into the middle of the week already ;)

Here's a bumble-y cute card I'd like to share today...
if you haven't guessed yet, I have a 'thing' for things that bumble around ;)

I'd like to enter my card for the following challenges too:
- All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge - Monochromatic {Yellow}
- Stamp Something Challenges - Go Digital! {Image}

I used Swiss Pixie - Bumblebee Hansel Digital Image from All That Scraps! Did you know that they had digital images?! Whoot! They do :)  - Hansel has to be one of the most sweetest boy images that I now own! and he's a Bumblebee!!! I totally adore him!!! It is so hard to find bumble-y things/images...
I had to use my Willowbee 6x6 pad and stamp set by Nikki Sivils, added in some matching layers and used my Slice to create these shapes to match the DP! Popped up some parts, tied on some ribbon and I was done! I really love how it all came together!

I hope you likey as well :)
Stay tuned for Pixie Dust Studio's "The Nutcracker" release later today!

Smooches :*)

A Very Quick Sneak Peek!

We just had a T-Storm, the first good loud one of the summer and let's just say that everyone enjoyed hiding under the covers for it, lol!
I have a quick sneak peek to share with your for Pixie Dust Studio's latest release called
"The Nutcracker"

This lil girlie's name is "Claire"...
I adore this name, it was definitely on my "List of Girl's Names" when I was prego with my boys... maybe one day I'll get to use this name... for a fish! hee, hee!

I used some scraps from My Mind's Eye and found few Fancy Pants crochet flowers... added some ribbon and was done! I love quick and simple lil cards :) Especially since I had to create about 6 cards today! Lots of fun stuff :)

Here's a close-up of Claire...

Does anyone know how to crochet?
I never got the hang of it -
I would love to create my own lil flowers in different sizes and colors...

You can see more sneak peeks on Kathy's blog HERE!

And don't forget!!!
Tomorrow's the big day!!!

Christmas in NY

Good morning :) It's another gorgeous Monday ;)
How 'bout starting off the week with another awesome challenge from

This month's Recipe Challenge is themed:
"Christmas in July"

Here's the recipe:
- make a holiday card (it can be Christmas, Hanukah, Festivus, Kwanzaa, etc. or scrapbook page.
- make your card long and narrow to fit a business sized envelope (4 1/8 in x 9 ½ in).
An easy dimension is to cut your 8.5 x 11 cardstock to 8 in by 9 in and score the long way down the middle (yields a folded card size of 4 x 9). Scrabooking? One of the elements in your layout should be this size.
- incorporate your favorite technique.
*As an optional element/twist: theme it something "holiday" in your home state.
For example, if you're in Florida .... a christmas theme may be a beach-like theme like a surfin' santa, a sea shell christmas tree, etc.

I HAD to have this lil cuppie from Taylored Expressions! I wanted all of their Destination Stamps, but had to settle with just the one (for now!)
Even though NY consists of Long Island's vineyards and beaches, and UpStates farms, mountains and skiing - I know that for most of you, when you hear: NY - you automatically think of Manhattan and all of the destination spots that it has to offer :) There is nothing like going into Manhattan during the holidays! Seeing the huge tree in Rockefeller Center, Macy's windows, shopping, shopping and more shopping - and visiting one of my fave places - FAO Schwartz! The #1 toy store in the entire universe!
I do have to admit, I have never really been a true city-chick, I'm to slow to keep up with the hustle and bustle of those city streets!... nor have I been into the city in the last 10years... I know, how pathetic am I? I'm a true Long Islander, LOL! But I do know that I would love to get back in there again soon! With the kiddos too! I know that they would love the subway rides, Central Park, museums, and did I mention the toy store? hee hee... I'm so happy to have gotten to experience it all in my 20s, it will be extra special to go back and visit again often with my boys and create new memories :)

So here's my card, a tribute to NY...
Isn't he delish!? Enjoying his bite of a hotdog! Maybe he went to Nathans! lol!
I personally would prefer Pizza, and hubs would want a sandwich from Carnegie or maybe a visit to Little Italy for some Italian treats, oh geesh! It's always about the food around here! ;)

OH, and lookie here! I used Stickles! My lil sis will be so proud of me, lol! ;)

NYer Cuppie Card Details:
Paper(s): Making Memories "Mistletoe" DP; Papertrey Ink CS
Ink(s): Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Copic Markers
Accessories: Stickles; MFT Creme Cotton Twill; misc. button;
Making Memories Bakers Twine; Recollections Bling

Please be sure to check out the rest of the Cookin' Divas creations:

Stay tuned! New FHF Recipe DT Members will be announced later this week :)

Enjoy your Monday :*)

Ok, so if Virginia were in my town on her birthday I would take her... shopping! LOL! We would hit every LSS store and all the thing in between! I live on Long Island, so she would have a billion options - we could head out East (my preference, lol!) and hit all the beaches, Montauk Point, Hamptons or head West into the city - Manhattan and all the scenic and landmarks! Tons and tons of places to eat!!! and of course - MUST stop somewhere for a REAL slice of PIZZA!!! yummmm!!!

It's Virginia's Birthday, she can do whatever she wants to!!! ;)

I used sweet Mayah from InStyle Stamps Club Anime line of digital images, isn't she a cutie?!
Pulled out some precious October Afternoon DP and did a whole lot of layering :)
Used my Slice to create the flower die-cut behind Mayah, the tag and letter P... Added a pocket on the inside to hold the Birthday tag... I had a ton of fun puttin this card together!
I hope Virginia likey ;)

Since this is a Birthday Blog Hop,
we can't leave you without a chance at a party prize!
So here are the rules:
1. Start at the beginning of the blog hop with the letter H.
2. Comment on each Design Team's blog because they need a little love and increase your chances at the party prize.
