Oh, Alice! Chapter 28: Child of the Pure Unclouded Brow...

(taken from "Child of the Pure Unclouded Brow:
preface to "Through the Looking Glass")

Child of the pure unclouded brow

And dreaming eyes of wonder!
Though time be fleet, and I and thou
Are half a life asunder,
Thy loving smile will surely hail
The love-gift of a fairy-tale.

I have not seen thy sunny face,
Nor heard thy silver laughter;
No thought of me shall find a place
In thy young life's hereafter -
Enough that now thou wilt not fail
To listen to my fairy-tale.

You Make My World Happy!

TGIF!!! We have just a lil over a week before school starts and we're on the hunt for school supplies, clothes, sneakers, etc! We ordered Nick some cool new Spong Bob glasses yesterday - they're really cute and no, they're not yellow! lol! Both kiddos have their backpacks ready with half their supplies! Matt only goes 1/2 day so he won't need a lunch bag, but we're on the hunt for a Wii Mario themed lunch bag to match Nick's backpack today! Geesh! The things we'll do to make our kids happy to go to school ;)

Ok, well, I have a lil confession... I'm in loooove with these Pure Innocence images/stamps!!! or did you guess that already ;)
A long while ago, I found Heather Ellis' Etsy full of these adorable digitals! and then her images popped up as clear stamps over at My Favorite Things! Still squee-ing about it! I want them ALL! but I must pace myself and be a good girl ;)

Here's a new stamp that I won {yippee!} during one of MFT's release fab parties :) "Being Cute Is What I Do" - ain't that the truth!!! She is so cuuuuute!!!

These lil pigtails kill me! :)

I used some more of my Echo Park DP form my TE August Key Ingredients Kit... my MFT Scalloped-Scallops Die-namics and I paper pieced her pants! Yes, piecing is now becoming a habit for me!

Did I mention those pigtails!? ;)

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

I hope you likey this one too!

StampInsanity Stamps Challenge #24: "Lacing it with Stitches"

GOOD MORNING :)
I am feeling a bit chipper today! ha! LOL!

* This is my 2nd post of today!!!
Please scroll down for my Pixie Dust Stitching Challenge for this week :) Thank YOU!!!

Today is my big challenge day!

"Lacing it with Stitches"
We need to see some stitching (real or faux) and some lace on your project!

Ok - I have to admit! There is no way that I can actually do any kind of real stitching, lol! If you have seen any of it on my cards before, it was because something already came like that in a card kit of some kind ;)
I don't have a machine - and unless you want blood all over it, there is no way for me to even think about attempting to sew by hand either! LOL!

So, this time, I had to cheat a little! Luckily for me, this amazing stitched ribbon came in my TE Ingredient Kit a few days ago and I found some left over KandCompany stitched flowers to help me out too ;)

Hmmm, I wonder what Morgan may be daydreaming about...
Edward? Bill? Jasper? Eric? hee, hee!

I've been holding onto these Jillibean Soup papers from my Beeez Kneeez Kit for a while now... I LOVE this print/paper! It's perfect for booklovers ;) and as you can see, I've been on a paper-piecing kick lately!

AND LOOK!!!
You can NOW purchase ALL of your StampInsanity Digital Images and Rubber Stamp Sets
HERE at the NEW Stamp Insanity Stamp Store!!!

We cannot wait to see what you'll be creating! Don't forget to go HERE and insert your direct link so we can all see ;)

Hi again! Love me my busy challenged Thursdays :)

I used Pixie Dust's "Ocean Quest" Digi for my card today! Aren't they the cutest duo?!
I did some faux-stitching around the main image panel and around the edge of the card too using my Copic 'chocolate' spica glitter pen :)
The papers are from The Greeting Farm's "Dirty Rodeo" paper pack! with some Kraft and different kinds of yummy ribbons!

Calling all Harry Potter fans!!!
Mark your calendars!

Hello Scrappy Owie!

I paper pieced again! ha! :)

Happy Humpy Day everyone!
I think most of you will remember that I've been trying to use up my scraps lately... for every designer/pattern paper that I cut into (luckily for me, the majority of my papers are 6x6 sized already!) - I must create another lil card using the scraps! I refuse to clean up my desk, unless I absolutely have to! and even so, I have a nifty lil container to put them in and then dump all back so I don't forget to use them! I really try hard not to waste anything at all ;) Even the tiniest lil piece counts!

It's been a long while, I've been really wanting to use another one of my Baby Bud Designs Stamps :)
Meet Owie! Isn't he the cutest?! I just adore his little hat, balloon pants and curly hair!

My darling lil Owie is an actual rubber stamp, but Baby Bud Designs also has an Etsy were you can get all of their stamps as a digital image too now! Instant satisfaction ;)

My DP scraps are leftovers from this card HERE!!!
I love double-sided papers!!!

I hope you likey :)

Thanks for stopping by again!
See tomorrow with a fun-filled challenged-up Thursday!!!

OH! and don't forget to enter for a chance to win my huge blog candy!!!

Hi!

Well, I just discovered last night that I don't really have much of anything image-wise, that is school related! and there are sooo many adorable images out there... I guess some 'back-to-school' shopping is in order for me soon ;)
My boys start school in exactly 2 weeks!!! Just 2 more to go!!! I thought we had 3, lol! Time goes by so fast! I'm going to have a 1st grader and a Pre-K big boy ;) We're all so excited!!!

Here's a card I created for our 1st grade teacher (we haven't received our paperwork yet, so we don't know who they are yet!) Just a lil card saying HI and good luck with the new school year ;)

I'm also entering my card into the following challenges:
- Stamp with Fun Challenge #73: Card for a Girl
- Catch The Bug Challenge: Back-to-School use Primary Colors
- Delightful Challenges: Back-to-School with Primary Colors

LOOK! I paper pieced her cute dress! I barely rarely do that, lol! It's so intimidating to me! but I looove how it turned out... and I think I have a bit more confidence in it now after practicing on a bunch of other images last night too ;)

I am LOVING my Taylored Expressions Key Ingredient Kits!!! and I think August's Kit is my fave of all so far :)  I'm loving Echo Park's "Walk in the Park" papers and coordinating stickers... I've made 2 other cards using the kit already too! ha! That's a first for me, I'll be sharing those later this week ;)

Sorry, I'm rambling... back to this card...
This is another darling lil Pure Innocence clear stamp called "Happy Mail" from MFT... I also used my MFT Die-namics, Ribbon and Cork! In my book, you can never go wrong with Kraft and Cork on a card ;) hee, hee!

I hope you likey! and I hope the Teacher will too :)

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Tuesday :*)

Monday, August 23, 2010

Happy Monday :)

Good day :)
I have a tiny lil quick card to share with you today!
This card is small - 4L x 3H, I seem to do better with smaller cards... and I feel that they don't need much embellishing, especially if the paper is so pretty ;)
What do you think?

Meet lil "Pixie May",
Papers scraps of Kraft CS and October Afternoon DP...
the Open Scallop Border is my latest MFT Die-namic!

I hope you likey!

I've been working on some projects! and I have A WHOLE LOT of RAKs and Thank you's that need to go out soon! Some I've had for over 6mos! Geesh! I'm bad at holding onto stuffs! LOL!
I'm hoping to start sharing some of things within the next couple of weeks too! So stay tuned ;)

Hey! and if you haven't already! Don't forget to sign up for my Blog Candy found HERE!
Everyone is welcomed to enter to win :)

Oh, Alice! Chapter 27: Prizes for Dodo...

Hi everyone :) Here's the latest Oh, Alice Challenge info!!!
I am running a bit behind, and now I cannot upload my pic :(
But here's the info for now, and I hope to have my camera cooperate with me later tonight!
Off to give baths to two lil sweaty boys, hee hee!

"This question the Dodo could not answer without a great deal of thought, and it sat for a long time with one finger pressed upon its forehead (the position in which you usually see Shakespeare, in the pictures of him), while the rest waited in silence. At last the Dodo said, `EVERYBODY has won, and all must have prizes.'
`But who is to give the prizes?' quite a chorus of voices asked.
`Why, SHE, of course,' said the Dodo, pointing to Alice with one finger; and the whole party at once crowded round her, calling out in a confused way, `Prizes! Prizes!'
Alice had no idea what to do, and in despair she put her hand in her pocket, and pulled out a box of comfits, (luckily the salt water had not got into it), and handed them round as prizes. There was exactly one a-piece all round. `But she must have a prize herself, you know,' said the Mouse.
`Of course,' the Dodo replied very gravely. `What else have you got in your pocket?' he went on, turning to Alice..."

Hello all!
We are so excited about today's inspiration piece, which just so happens to feature Alice and the lovable Dodo she encounters along her adventures in Wonderland.
We'll even spare Dodo the croquet game today...less headache! ;)
The Mad Hatter herself is VERY fond of Tarina Tarantino jewelry and is lucky enough to own a VERY fun ring that she scored while in Disneyworld last time. Check out the fabulous Queen Alice ring found HERE...

For today's challenge, we are all gaga over this beautiful piece!

Your mission today is to create SPARKLY FABULOUSNESS (yes, include some BLING, please!) as inspired by the above photo.
Thanks everyone :)

Lucky Number 3...

I'm baaaack! and with a super-duper cutie :)
First, the story...
My Mom babysits for 2 lil kids, a lil girl who just turned 6 and a lil boy who is going to be 3! Sweet lil boy is sooo excited to finally be a "Big Three Boy"! and he's having a huge birthday party...
He came over yesterday and asked us to come to his "Number Three Birthday Party"! Of course, who would say no to that sweet little face... even the mailman couldn't refuse and had to say that he was coming too! LOL! He was there, and of course Lil Boy had to invite him too! and the poor mailman had no choice but to go with it and say yes! hahaha! So sweet :)

So here we are! The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday Challenge is to use your "Lucky Number"! Well, we used Lil Boy's lucky number three, hee hee!
My boys helped pick out the image and papers, this will be his "Number Three" Birthday Card ;)

I also used the following challenges for my card :)
- Stamps R Us Challenge #2: All Male Theme
- Your Next Stamp Challenges #23: Bold, Bright, Summery Colors

Oliver and his dinos are so cute!
Definitely another fave stamp of mine :)

My boys found this awesome paper called "Lil Robots" by My Mind's Eye - I totally forgot I had bought a sampler pack of it at Die Cuts R Us! LOL!
Of course, a 4 and 6yo would be able to find it ;)

I also used my corner rounder punch thingy, and my Slice for the circle and die cut behind it - I was too lazy to pull out the Nesties ;) hee, hee! and the letters are black denim Thickers by American Crafts! I've had these for a while and cringed when I opened the package up! lol!
I just loooove to horde cool things ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by! TGIF!!!
See you tomorrow (early Saturday morning) with a brand new Oh, Alice Challenge :)

PS!!! Don't forget to check out Claudia's amaaaaaaaazing
It's the last Copic Sale for 2010!!! You don't want to miss it :)

I also love this polka-dotted/circle-y paper from Nikki Sivils "Flaming Butterfly" 6x6 Pad...
I always forget to use these, but I dusted off some of my embossing folders for her panel and the white polka-dotted ribbon and cardstock is from Papertrey Ink!
The sentiment is from StampInsanity Stamps "Simply Supernatural" Rubber Stamp Set - isn't it perfect?!
