A Retro-Fresh Book Keeper!

Happy Day to You!!! 

It's Wednesday and although I feel a bit crummy, more on that later, and blogger had been misbehaving in the worse kinds of way this week - I'm in a good mood! hee hee! It must be all the chocolate I've been eating... sigh... yes, it must be since I've gained about 7lbs since Christmas, lol! 

Moving on to the fun stuff for today :) 

There's another Retro-Fresh Challenge up on 

The Greeting Farm Challenge Blog today!!! 

This month, Jess is challenging us to think 'paper dimensions'!!! 

Pop up those TGF stamps by using pop dots, silicone glues, etc. Whatever gives you that extra pop! 

I wanted something to help me keep track of all the books that I own, whether it be on my bookshelf or e-reader, and also, a wishlist of books that I want to read this year! So, I decided to alter a black/white notebook... 

I used The Greeting Farm's Blush Society Stamps, Bonnie and Heart, 

I also used Splotchy and some clear stamps from Lucky Bunnies and Made By: 

I colored Bonnie with Copics and paper pieced part of her dress with My Mind's Eye Portobello Road DP and used a white pen to highlight her a bit to make her 'pop' since everything looked so dark against her white-ish dress... 

On the inside, I added some alpha stickers to create a directory and have started penning in what I have so far :)  This has been one of the best things I've ever created for myself - I no longer have to run to the computer to add stuff in before I forget! Yes, I'm ol' fashion, I like the pen to paper technique too! AND it helps to keep me off the computer too, lol!

Much Love, Just Because...

Just because... it's TGIF peeps!!! 

It's been a very long week! and I am very sure that many of us are looking forward to some relaxation and down-time this weekend :)  We are having big boy's official birthday party Saturday night, other than that, a ton of snuggling, reading and movie-watching will be going on around here :) 

There is another Friday Spy-Day Challenge going on at

and this week, we are casing Eva's card that was spotted on SCS!!! 

I tried to keep as close to Eva's layout and color combo as possible, 

but my big bow threw off the layout a bit, lol! Here's what I came up with... 

It's been a while since I've inked up my girl, Bonnie, from the Blush Society Collection... 

I used Babette's sentiment and my new pad of My Mind's Eye Love Me that you can find right now on SALE at Claudia and Company :) 

This ribbon is from the Dollar Store! Can you believe it?! They had a ton of colors, I am definitely going to have to go back and stock up on all the colors!

GOOD Morning peeps!!! 

I have been feeling a bit under the weather for the last few days, 

a small cold and no energy at all :p 

My mojo is still playing games with me and has been very temperamental, lol! 

We're going to have to have a talk soon, 

these late night craft times are definitely not helping me get rid of this lingering cold! ha!

It's FRIDAY!!! Yay!!! What are you up to today??? 

First things first! For me, it's all about The Greeting Farm's 

Farm Fresh - Spy Day Challenge :) :) :) 

And this time, we "spied"... Sheri Gilson's card over HERE!!! 

Ian is SO handsome with his cap and gown surrounded by green! 

Very inspiring layout too! 

I thought that "Babette" from TGF's Blush Society Collection 

would be fun to color up! I just looove all that hair!!! 

and used a senti from the new "Build a Onsie - Girl" clear stamp set... 

Except for the card's base and the twine, I used all scraps again!!! 

I will be posting pics soon of my new scrappy area and how I keep track of all my scraps; 

My crafty area is small and I don't have a lot of room, 

nor do I have a lot of product! and since I'm right in the living room, I have to be sure not to leave much of a mess and that it all can fit nicely in my one spot :)

Raise the Bar!

It's TGIF!!! and even though it's still really early in the morning, 

get ready to have some fun!!! 

I received an awesome email from Joni from Raise the Bar Challenges 

saying that I was one of their Top 4 and chosen to guest with them this week :) 

Happy Dance!!! 

This week's Raise the Bar Challenge #74 is to create a project using 

"White After Labor Day!" 

Yes, we're breaking the fashion rules :) 

and using ALL white background for our cards!

Of course you can sponge it, add texture, and design anything with it,

but it has to have White DP or papers to showcase!

Here's my card... 

What an awesome challenge! 

It really made me think and go out of my comfort zone and I looove how this card turned out :) 

I embossed and distressed, and just had to add the 3 layers of ribbons! 

I colored Babette with my Copics 

and think I've finally found a combo that I like for black hair!

Hey, hey! How's it going :)
I've been playing around with some scraps that were sitting on my desk and I always stamp 2 or 3 of the same images, it's always good to have a few laying around to color, right!? hee hee... so here's what I came up with yesterday... OH and of course I had a lil help from this week's The Greeting Farm Farm Fresh Mystery Monday Challenge, which is to case or be inspired by Paula's card aaaand I also used this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #126 :) 

I decided that Bonnie needed to be a dark redhead this time around :)
and I was trying to go with a monochromatic dark aqua but I didn't have cardstock to match and decided to throw in a bit of dark brown to go with the Kraft... I was inspired by the 'notebook DP' that Paula used, and the aqua color... the scattered pearls represent the flowers that she used too ;) 

.... hmmm, maybe a bit overboard with the pearls this time??? LOL!
