I Simply Adore Riley!

It's the weekend!!! Woo Hoo!!!
and I am having SOOO much time getting cleaned/organized crafty today :)
ALL of our Christmas decorations have been put away! and now with the huge tree in storage, I am trying to reclaim my crafty spot!!! Kiddos want the extra space in the living room for their new trunks, race tracks, etc, but this mama needs her big crafty table back so she can start using her sewing machine  and needs more space! It's hard to create in just 18inches of space, lol!
Hmmm, I'm thinking that we may have to re-do the whole living area, just rearrange all the furniture... easy-peasy, right?! hee hee... and the kids bedroom... oh, how it never ends, lol!

I created a fun little Riley card this morning :)
and I used these challenges for it:
- The Ribbon Carousel Challenge #34: Anything goes!
- Crazy 4 Challenges #118: Use Something New
- Card Makin' Mamas Challenge: Use Something New
(My "something new" is the ribbon and flower button.)

I used Stamping Riley to make another Valentine's Day card :)

Have I mentioned how much I love to paper piece?!
Never-mind that it not only saves my Copics from wear/tear - it's also the perfect way to use up all of my little scraps! and I am a huuuge fan of that :)

Well, I better get back to getting crafty cleaning/organizing!
Wish me luck ;)
and enjoy the rest of your weekend!!! xo

Bridezilla and Popcorn!

Woo Hoo!!!
It's Day TWO and Day THREE of Riley and Company Sneak Peeks for me today :)
EIGHTEEN new Riley's are being released on Thursday, September 29th!!!
And it's all about MOVIES!!!
If you're a huuuge movie-aholic, this is a must have collection!!!

First I have "Sophie as Bridezilla

I have to admit, I've never seen any of the 'Bride of Frankenstein' movies,
but I have watched the show, Bridezilla's! LMAO! and their are some really scarey brides on there!
Sweet Sofie is much too cute to be on that show! ha!

... and for my next card, I have "Popcorn Riley"

This adorable Riley reminds me of my boys!
They sit in the theatre all proper, with their bucket of popcorn and soda just like this!
Nice and comfy... I wonder what he's watching now...
my lil guy says Riley must like the same movies that he does right now! LOL!
We've been on a Rio and Despicable Me marathon for the last day and a half, oi! :)

So remember, the rest of the Moosemates are also sharing sneak peeks on their blogs too!
AND, we also have a Guest Designer playing along with us for this release,
Be sure to check out everyone's fun movie creations :)

Thanks for stopping by!
See you in a bit with MORE sneaks!!! xo

The power is ON!!! Must KETCHUP!!!

Seriously peeps! Three and a half days without power was something that we really did not expect! lol! Power started to come back on in our neighborhood really early this morning, around 1am... but we were left for last, we were starting to think that maybe they forgot about us, lol! But if finally came on around 10ish this morning! Such a releif! We were truly blessed that this was our only problem! Really made us appreciate the little things in life! How precious every minute is! and how spoil we all really are! hee hee!

Now that we have done most of our errands today, grabbed some much needed groceries and a bite to eat! I've got a few crafty things to share with you :) SO grab a snack AND a drink, it's going to be a long post, I have a card and 2 - heArt Journaling entries!!! I really missed being online! But, priorities first! My boys will officially start school a week from today, 2nd grade orientation on Friday and Kindergarten orientation on Tuesday, busy, busy! Gotta get those sneakers too... digressing, sorry... here are my creations :)

This week, The Pink Elephant's Challenge is to do some paper piecing!!!
I heart paper piecing! and decided to use my Greeting Farm My Guy Stamp Set for it and My Mind's Eye DP...

Such a handsome fella! I started this right before our lights went out, had to do the gluing parts with a flashlight, you can see that there is glue smudged everywhere, lol! shhh, don't tell ;)

I am entering my card into the following challenges that are still going on, lol!
I had created this card for 4 other challenges, but I wasn't able to post it in time ;)
- The Pink Elephant #114: Paper Piecing
- Crazy 4 Challenges #102: Male themed card
- Raise the Bar Challenge #72: Primary Colors (Red, Blue, Yellow)

Here's a close-up...

I will never forget this card! :)

Next up, I have my heArt Journaling with The Greeting Farm...

Week 5: Pieces of Me
Assignment: Create a spread/page using layering and paper piecing techniques.
Use any stamps you want, colors, etc.

There is a TON of layering going on here! LOL!
This was what I created 2 weeks ago, I just never had a chance to post it here on my blog...
First, I started to draw something, didn't like it, so I Gesso-ed over it...
I always like to add my DP with Modge Podge first! The DP and Stickers came from my latest TE Key Ingredients Kit! Once I saw these papers from Echo Park, I knew that I just needed to create a page about me and my bumble-y blog :)

Some close-ups...

What do you think!? :)

Week 6: Text Me!
Assignment: Create a spread/page using mainly text and lettering!
This includes numbers, symbols, handwritten or typed, phrases, etc.
Use any stamps you want, colors, etc.

I started creating this piece on canvas at my sister house with some friends this last Monday :)
Originally, this lil awesome group was to meet up at my house, but with the power outage, we changed it over to my sisters... then, she lost power too! ugh! Everyone came to hang out anyways, and within 20 mins the power came back on! Yay!!!
I was able to get the majority of it done at her house...
and as you can see above, I brought it home to add some stickers, doodling and rub-ons via flashlight! lol!

Here she is! My "Pretty in Pink Me" on canvas!
First, I Gesso-ed the canvas, then applied my KandCompany DP with Modge Podge
and added the border of crackle paint by Tim Holtz...

I then started on my 'girl'... I used polka-dotted papers for her head, arms, legs and shirt.
I decided to use crepe paper for her skirt, super fun! but hard to stamp on, lol!

The paper itself had a ton of text in the corners,
I also used numerous stamps and Cosmo Cricket stickers and rub-ons all around...

I didn't doodle much this time, wasn't feeling it.
I really love all the rub-ons! I never had a thing for those and don't have anymore!
Must find some more asap! If you have any suggestions as to where I can purchase a bunch of floral, border  and butterfly rub-ons, please do let me know :) Thanks!!!

And here's a view at my messy desk, lol!
It was hard to find things in the dark, oi!

Thanks for sticking this post out with me!
I hope you're all do well! I cannot wait to catch up with everyone within the next few days!
I'm 'off like a prom dress'!!! Gots lots to bake and prepare for our shopping trip tomorrow :)
hugs xoxo

Today is my last day to get a few things done before my big boy is off for a 5 day weekend and my lil guy is off for 7 days straight! I love having them home, but I have to admit, there are some things that are sooo much easier to get done when they're not around ;) Gotta get groovin' quick today!!!

Back to School with Harry!!!

Hey! It's Wednesday already! How cool is that?! :)

I have a lil postcard to share with you today!

First, I'd like to mention that I would like to enter my lil postcard to the following challenges:
- Pixie Dust Studio Challenge #38: "Back to School"
- The Pink Elephant Challenge #83: "Back to School"
- Allsorts Challenges Week #68: "New Beginnings"
- Crazy 4 Challenges #53: Book Related
- Our Creative Corner ABCs and 123s: Use Letters and/or Numbers
- Fussy and Fancy Challenge #18: "Back to School"

I made this to slip into Nicky's lunchbox yesterday - a little note to let him know that we were thinking of him, a lil encouragement to get help him get thru the rest of his day and wishing him the best for first day of school ever ;)

He loves anything to do with Harry Potter! (Even though I haven't let them watch all the movies yet! Just the first 2!) I knew that Harry would be the best way to go... plus, it's small enough to use as a bookmark too ;)

.... sigh... I know, I have such bad handwriting! lol! But it's mine, and I know that he'll appreciate it more rather than seeing something from the printer ;)

These delish school-ish papers are Bo Bunny's "Learning Curve" Cut Outs and my (actually, lil sis') EK Success border punch and The Paper Studio's sentiment stamp!
No embellies, he doesn't like any kind of ribbon on his cards, lol! and I didn't want to make it any thicker than the layers that are on there already...

You can find Harry Potter and his friends from Hogwarts
at the Pixie Dust Studio HERE!!!

Thanks so much for looking! Have a fab day :)
See you tomorrow for a fun-filled day of challenges!!!

Bee Happy with Hansel

Happy Tuesday! I love Tuesdays -
it means we're done with Monday and heading into the middle of the week already ;)

Here's a bumble-y cute card I'd like to share today...
if you haven't guessed yet, I have a 'thing' for things that bumble around ;)

I'd like to enter my card for the following challenges too:
- All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge - Monochromatic {Yellow}
- Stamp Something Challenges - Go Digital! {Image}

I used Swiss Pixie - Bumblebee Hansel Digital Image from All That Scraps! Did you know that they had digital images?! Whoot! They do :)  - Hansel has to be one of the most sweetest boy images that I now own! and he's a Bumblebee!!! I totally adore him!!! It is so hard to find bumble-y things/images...
I had to use my Willowbee 6x6 pad and stamp set by Nikki Sivils, added in some matching layers and used my Slice to create these shapes to match the DP! Popped up some parts, tied on some ribbon and I was done! I really love how it all came together!

I hope you likey as well :)
Stay tuned for Pixie Dust Studio's "The Nutcracker" release later today!

Smooches :*)

Busy like a Beee!!!

Hi again!
First, if you would like to meet my "Princess and the Cherry" please scroll down to the next post too :)
Thanks!!!
I had a lil fun last night while watching a movie with DH :)
It was a lil before midnight, so I decided that I just had to play some more with my Beeez Kneeez Kit!!!
I needed a lil something extra to stay awake ;)

So I decided to use the following challenges...
When I started my cards, I was using this challenge -

But, I missed the midnight deadline, LOL!
So, then I moved on to their next challenge for this week :)

The Bumble Bees will be buzzing around soon enough ;)

Also used these challenges ;)

- Die Cuts R Us Challenge #36 - Double Duty (Create 2 projects!)

and trying to keep it plain and simple, lol, so not my style!)

Everything is from the kit, except for the black base of the cards...

To be honest, I wasn't too sure about the above card...
it was plain DP, but then I just had to add the flower to the center of it ;)

What do you think?!
Should I have left it CAS???

I love these sparkly handmade dictionary paper flowers!!!
This was my last one :( sniff!
I may have to try to copy and create some of my own :)

Bumble Bees are bumbling!!! ;)

Hope you likey!!!
