Side-Stepping in Matilda's Garden

Good morning :)
WoW! I cannot believe that I managed to stay off my blog almost the entire week!
I have discovered that sometimes I need to take an unplanned mini-break from here to get the mojo flowing again! It always feels so good to come back to it and get into the swing again :)

It's another "Spy Day" at The Greeting Farm Challenge Blog today!!!
and this time, Sharette spied Danni's Card on SCS!!!
Danni created a beautiful stair-step card using a orange/green color scheme...

I have to admit, I just could NOT get a stair-step card put together for this challenge, oi! LOL!
I tried using the SCS step-by-step directions and video! Which are by far, excellent resources and very clear - but I just could not grasp the exact cutting measuremenst! eek!
So I decided to be inspired by the color scheme, layout and butterflies that Danni used :)

AND!
I also used the following challenges for my card too!!!
- Touch Twin Marker Color Challenge:
Melon Yellow, Olive Green, Brick Brown, Rose Red
- Ribbon Carousel Challenge #27:
Anything goes! (must have ribbon, twine, etc.)
- Flutter By Wednesday Challenge #178:
Thank You (much have a buttefly, fairy, angel)
Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #134

I also used one of the latest released stamps by The Greeting Farm,

You cannot see it in my picture, but the sides are 2 separate panels!
I tried to recreate the stair step look by using what Danni did as a layout/sketch :)
and I was so lucky to have just enough of these scraps for it too!
Oh, and when I first colored Matilda, I thought her clothes were a bit too mis-matchy, lol!
but with the papers surrounding her, she matches and blends pretty good, right? :)

Please be sure to visit the rest of the DT and see their gorgeous stair-step cards!!!

Thanks for stopping by today!!! Happy TGIF!!!
I will be packing up a few things for a scrappy night with the girls :)
Yippeee!!!

School is {NOT} Cool, DUDE!

Hi again!!! TGIF :)
I am in the middle of battling a headache with a homemade brownie sundae ;)
Please scroll down to see Pixie Dust Studio's latest release too, thanks!!!

Thought I'd pop on and share some more cards that I've made for
Yes, there are TWO, lol! Last week's and today's!

Here's my card for today's "Button It Up" challenge...

This lil Wild Sprout Ryan, has some major DUDE-titude going on!!!
and here's why...

Ryan and my boys, sigh... not so much! lol!
I keep reminding my boys that school will be starting up in less than 3 weeks,
they keep saying,
"Don't want to hear about it! Not gonna happen! Stop reminding us!"
Oh boy! I'm wondering how this is going to go, lol!

Hope you likey!
Enjoy the rest of your Friday!
I'll be back later tonight with my girlie heArt Journaling entry too :)

A Splash of Green!

G'morning everyone! I hope everyone had a lovely holiday weekend!
and for those not from the States, a wonderful start to your week :)
We had a wonderful lazy Monday! Spent most of it in PJs, reading books from the library, drawing/coloring, BBQ-ing, lots of eating, SMASHing, scrapping... and I made a card or two too ;) A perfect day that we ALL wish would never end! hee hee! but ended with a blast - watched some fireworks on TV! Yes, on the TV, lol! We don't rarely go out for any 4th of July festivities since hubs always has to do major overtime during this holiday weekend, so we just snuggle up until he gets home! and then snuggle even more ;)

One of the cards that I created yesterday is for The Greeting Farm's WOW Challenge:
Black and White with a Splash of Color
Here's one of my cards...
Me likes GREEN! almost as much as PINK!

I had SO much fun digging around for scraps for Dahlia! but looking at my card now, it seems that I did a HUGE splash of green, ooops, lol!
The dotted paper is from American Crafts! I have fallen hard for dotted-like patterns lately! I will never ever wear them, lol! But these patterns really do make pretty cards :) I made up my own layout and went a little overboard with the bling...

Hope you likey!
Happy Tuesday :*)

A Girly Thank You Card...

Just another quick girly thank you card :)
For my card, I used The Greeting Farm's Wild Sprout "Annika" Stamp - She and I share a huuuge love of books and reading :) And I also used new Jillibean Soup "Blossom Soup" Pad!
Yes, I'm working on using up my scrap-stash! but every now and then you've got to satisfy the paper craving and buy yourself a lil 6x6 pad to keep you going ;) Right??? LOL!
The crochet flower is from Recollections, the rest of what I used was from leftover scraps that was sitting on my desk :) I just love how quick and easy some cards come together!!!

I was inspired by TGF's Mystery Monday Challenge, Krista's card!
The girliness! The PINK!!! and flowers!!!

I neeeeed to find some lace! I hardly ever go to JoAnn's, which is the only local place to find lace, and they usually only have no more than 4 or 5 options (which aren't really pretty)... it just occurred to me to check Etsy, lol! Anyone have a fave place to find some lace or lace-y ribbons??? I don't do really girly cards often, but when I do, I would love to go all out! A lil piece of lace reminds me of those ankle socks I used to wear when I was a wee toddler, they made me feel so pretty when I wore them with my mary janes :)

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!!!

Smiles :)

Finally! I am finally able to post! WOW!
I didn't have any internet access yesterday!
and today it was a whole lotta blogger issues, so frustrating, lol!

I needed to make up a quick Thank You card to mail out and
was the perfect card to help me out!!!

The DP is from Provocraft - I have had this 12x12 sheet FOREVER!
Finally cut it down to 6x6 and used it on 4 more cards!!! and I still have scraps leftover! lol!
So here is the first card that I created with it...
I just haaad to use Ebony! I love her spunky style!
and grabbed a sentiment from my Sunshine Kit, I really need to use this kit more often,
it's so cute and perfect for summer memories!!!

I have a ton of posts and comments to catch up on!!!
You'll be seeing more of this DP over the weekend!

See y'all soon! Enjoy your evening :) :) :)
