Wooo hooo!!! It's finally TGIF!!! 

What should have been a short week for us, because we had Monday off from school, turned out to be the most dragged out, longest week ever in existence, lol! We are all super tired and cranky and in much need to some weekend fun! Unfortunately, kiddos have to start their weekend tomorrow to a check up at the dentist first, lol! Then we're off for a Fall Festival at school and other fun stuff :)  Can't wait!

And for this week, we are casing Rachel's card that you can see HERE!

I decided that I really neeeded to use myyy "Edward" stamp!!!

Yes, MYYY Edward ;) hee hee!!!   

I lightly colored Edward with my Copic markers and used my Colorless Blender to lighten and blend my coloring to give him a 'washed-out' kind of look... I used scraps of Crate Paper and some Washi tape that I purchased (and have been hoarding) from TGF Store a looong while ago :)

Here's my card for today's "Button It Up" challenge... 

This lil Wild Sprout Ryan, has some major DUDE-titude going on!!!

and here's why... 

Wild Sprout Edward thinks he's "2 COOL 4 School!" 

Ryan and my boys, sigh... not so much! lol! 

I keep reminding my boys that school will be starting up in less than 3 weeks, 

they keep saying, 

"Don't want to hear about it! Not gonna happen! Stop reminding us!" 

Oh boy! I'm wondering how this is going to go, lol!

A Splash of Green!

G'morning everyone! I hope everyone had a lovely holiday weekend!

and for those not from the States, a wonderful start to your week :) 

We had a wonderful lazy Monday! Spent most of it in PJs, reading books from the library, drawing/coloring, BBQ-ing, lots of eating, SMASHing, scrapping... and I made a card or two too ;) A perfect day that we ALL wish would never end! hee hee! but ended with a blast - watched some fireworks on TV! Yes, on the TV, lol! We don't rarely go out for any 4th of July festivities since hubs always has to do major overtime during this holiday weekend, so we just snuggle up until he gets home! and then snuggle even more ;)  

One of the cards that I created yesterday is for The Greeting Farm's WOW Challenge:

Me likes GREEN! almost as much as PINK!

I had SO much fun digging around for scraps for Dahlia! but looking at my card now, it seems that I did a HUGE splash of green, ooops, lol! 

The dotted paper is from American Crafts! I have fallen hard for dotted-like patterns lately! I will never ever wear them, lol! But these patterns really do make pretty cards :) I made up my own layout and went a little overboard with the bling...

Surfin' Fun!!!

Well, it seems that in between surgery and trying to catch up on all aspects of life, crafty and personal, I ran out of SO many crafty products/things :(  and lost my mojo... sigh... it's been a bad crafty week, lol! But not the end of the world ;)

I came to this conclusion last night, just have to deal and improvise and start where I left off instead of scrambling and putting pressure on myself. It's no fun when you're stressing; and getting crafty is all about relaxing and enjoying yourself/myself :)

SO, I decided to go all out on this card - meaning, just play and have uber fun!!!

The latest Farm Fresh Challenge at The Greeting Farm is "Summer Lovin'"!!!

and my boys have been begging to see Surfer Ian get his gnarly groove on :)

So here he is!!!

I have run out of all sorts of cardstock colors, lol! So layering up on pattern paper was a bit tricky, especially since this is such a 'busy' collection, Fancy Pants Rusted Sun... but isn't that what summer is all about: chaotic fun!!! Bright summer colors all over the place :)

My boys picked out there fave stamp, Skater Ian!

and I just picked up these papers by Fancy Pants called "Rusted Sun", love this set! and I also used my new MFT Die-namic "Stacking Stars" and my old one "Notebook Edge"... those awesome brads are by Making Memories! I've been hording them for almost 2years! LOL!

OH! and here's a tip...

Whenever I'm coloring an image, I usually line up the Copics I am going to use and put each Copic away as I use them, that's my new "thing" to keep things tidy... I had one color left to use...but had to go do something, potty break, lol... 4yo decided to help me out and finish it up for me... sigh...

Can you guess?!?!

LOL!

And yes, he was being helpful! and to not hurt his feelings, I will still create a card with it!

Also dusted off my Sunshine Kit - looove the sentiment! SO perfect!!! I also used other stamps from my kit :) Used a bit of Imaginisce DP too... I'm pretty happy with my simple, but fun-filled layout :)

I decided to have lil Timmy get all dressed up for the holidays :)

I decided to go with a bit of Baker's Twine! I love adding it to my buttons and creating bows with them! 'cause that's the only thing that allows me to make almost perfect bows! LOL! ;)

Envelope ON the Card!?

Happy, happy, happy Friday :)

This week flew by faster than last week! Wow! I don't mind so much since everyone seems to finally be feeling well and we're all finally getting close to being on schedule again! Even though lil guy woke up with a runny nose again {crossing fingers} that thats all it will be ;)

It's time for another fun-filled challenge at The Greeting Farm!!!

This week, Farmer Kim had a wonderful idea!!! 

Incorporate an envelope onto our card by using a pocket or envelope template, decorating an envelope or anything goes as long as there is some sort of an envelope to it ;) 

What a tricky but very fun challenge!

I decided to finally use one of these beautiful Kraft-scalloped envelopes by Maya Road that I've been hording onto, break open my new TE October Ingredients Kit and color up the adorable 

Beto with Flowers Digital Image...

and here's what I came up with...

it's big enough to hold a gift certificate, money or a lil love note ;)

OH! and the stamped flower on the evenlope should look familiar to all you die-hard TGF fans out there ;) That's the one that you can find in their awesome "Sunshine Kit"!!!

I cannot believe how chilly it was to walk out to the bus stop this morning! Brrr...
It seems like there is a bug going around everywhere, around the world!!! Everyone is sniffly, sneezing and feeling icky... So, I made this card 'cause I'm thinking of all of you sickies out there! and, if I knew how to cook, I'd make y'all some chicken soup ;) I know, I guess I could try, but I'd probably just make y'all sicker, lol! I finally made a lil time to play with some of my newer Greeting Farm stamps!!! and of course, I had to use Jessica's Sketch this week for The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday 6... I just had to have Wild sprout Dahlia! She's so whimsical and fun to color!

I love this paper from DCWV - it's from their 'Once Upon A Time' Line... this dp is called 'Enchanted Paisley' - I just love the sparkle and mixture of greens and purples...

If you click on the pics (especially the last one), you can see the glitter and sparkle I added onto Dahlia too :)

Very Late - Farm Fresh Friday!!!

I am sooo late on posting my Farm Fresh Friday Challenge for The Greeting Farm... but technically, I still have about 40 minutes before Wednesday is officially over ;) hee, hee!

... and here's my take on it :)

Every time I use one of The Greeting Farm's stamps, it becomes my fave of all! Yesterday, it was the Miss Anya's! and today, well my heart belongs to Skater Ian ;)

My boys and I went for a walk around the man-made pond here in our new complex, and we saw a bunch of teens hanging out with their skateboards and bikes... they all had these sneakers on, bright solid colored sneakers - don't know the brand, lol! - they're just super bright and bold! So, my boys reminded me that I had to make Ian's sneaks look like those "cool boys" ;) lol!
