It's ALL about ME!!!

Hi again!!!
It's time for a StampInsanity Stamps Challenge today :)
*I have 2 posts for today, please scroll down to see my latest Pixie Dust Card too!
Thank you :*)

First! Let me tell you that Beth {owner} will be extending the 3 winners/free digi set promo through the end of December. Each challenge Thursday Random.org will be used to select three entry numbers and the winner's will be able to choose their own digis!!! Yippee!!!

Now, onto today's challenge (#38)...
ALL about ME!!!
Create a card/project for yourself :)

And why not?! We're always creating things for everyone else, we should be able to do a little something to make ourselves smile too ;)  How fun is that?!

Well with my Birthday mintues away and Christmas just around the corner, I would like very much to have things slow down, calm down, relax... peace... sweet peace... a peaceful life without all the crazy chaos of rushing around and such. That's why I added the word Peace over that piece of busy DP - to cover up some of the chaos that's been going on... and so, even though the colors of my card aren't very peaceful to some, to me they are :)  I love color, I love white too, but I like things to be as colorful as possible (you should see the scarf I'm currently knitting, ha!) I had to add some "print" for my looove of books :) and of course, I used StampInsanity's "Holiday Princess", she's the girly-girl side of me :) I love Pink!!! and if I could get away with it, I would wear flowers in my hair all the time!

Thanks for sticking it out, I know that I can ramble sometimes ;)

Don't forget! Stop by and check out what the rest of the Groovy Gurls created for themselves too!!!
Happy Thursday :*)

A New Lil Christmas Bud!

Snow?! We had snow early this morning! Ice first, and then a small snow shower! It's been years since we've seen the white stuff so early in the season :)
We didn't mind so much, especially since we didn't have to go out today - both boys are home with colds, coughing, boogies, the works, lol! Sleepy heads laying on the couch watching their fave cartoons and drawing pics about them in their 'journals'!

Enough blabbing ;)
You're here to meet Baby Bud Designs newest family member!!!

Please meet... Noelle...

Noelle seems to be a bit shy, but once she warms up to you, she's sure to throw the first snowball at ya ;)

I had SO much fun coloring this lil angel-gone-badass! That smirky smile just says it all ;) Obviously I had to go with the naughty side and use my fave techniques, which is to color with my Copics and then cut the image out by hand... love using my Nesties when I can too ;)

I pulled out some of my much loved and horded Making Memories DP called "Spook Alley" and used my Sakura "Clear Star" Pen to sparkle up her wings, horns and outline a bit... I also bit my tongue and used another one of my Prima skull flowers and dressed it up with some scraps of ribbon and lace ;)

I likey her very much ;) I hope you do too!

Oh, and these are the challenges that I am submitting my card to too :)

- Eat Sleep Stamp's Sketchy Thursday #102

Pixie Dust Studio Challenge #43 "Sweet Baby"

Good early morning to you :)
Sorry, I took a bit of a bloggy/commenting break the last few days! I needed to re-coop on some body aches and headaches that I've been dealing with for the last few days - being on my laptop wasn't helping, so I had to step back a bit to relax and catch up on some much needed reading and sleep :)

I wanted to jump on real quick to share with you this week's
"Sweet Baby"
Create a baby theme card! Use pink/blue or green/yellow!
Whatever your creativity takes you :)

I again, unfortunately, do not have a new card - BUT, I have some oldies to show off again ;)

Here's "Pixie P"...

AND I couldn't not add a boy one ;)

Thanks for stopping by!!!
Come back shortly for another fun challenge/post!!! :)

FUNHOUSE!!!

Hi everyone!!! Guess what?! My printer was finally fixed late last night!!!
Yippee! I'm so happy to have it up and running again :)
I'm sad that I missed the Pixie Dust sneak peeks this week, but, even though I'm a lil late today...

Have you all seen today's new Pixie Dust Studio Release yet?!?!
FUNHOUSE!!!

Meet "Frankie Fairy"...

I love her look! She was sooo much fun to color!
Even though I'm not a personal fan of the color purple, lol!
I love it when people create with purple, but for some odd reason, it never really works too well for me, lol!

I found my ol' Making Memories Pad of "Spook Alley"
and used some Prima Flowers and lil Pearls...

I hope you likey my card!

Now it's time to go check out the rest of the release!!!

Here's the rest of the FUNHOUSE gang:
"Just Batty"
"Frankie's Bride"
"Frankie Boy"
"Ultimate Vamp Fan"
and "Frankie Fairy"

These Pixies just get cuter and cuter!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas in NY

Good morning :) It's another gorgeous Monday ;)
How 'bout starting off the week with another awesome challenge from

This month's Recipe Challenge is themed:
"Christmas in July"

Here's the recipe:
- make a holiday card (it can be Christmas, Hanukah, Festivus, Kwanzaa, etc. or scrapbook page.
- make your card long and narrow to fit a business sized envelope (4 1/8 in x 9 ½ in).
An easy dimension is to cut your 8.5 x 11 cardstock to 8 in by 9 in and score the long way down the middle (yields a folded card size of 4 x 9). Scrabooking? One of the elements in your layout should be this size.
- incorporate your favorite technique.
*As an optional element/twist: theme it something "holiday" in your home state.
For example, if you're in Florida .... a christmas theme may be a beach-like theme like a surfin' santa, a sea shell christmas tree, etc.

I HAD to have this lil cuppie from Taylored Expressions! I wanted all of their Destination Stamps, but had to settle with just the one (for now!)
Even though NY consists of Long Island's vineyards and beaches, and UpStates farms, mountains and skiing - I know that for most of you, when you hear: NY - you automatically think of Manhattan and all of the destination spots that it has to offer :) There is nothing like going into Manhattan during the holidays! Seeing the huge tree in Rockefeller Center, Macy's windows, shopping, shopping and more shopping - and visiting one of my fave places - FAO Schwartz! The #1 toy store in the entire universe!
I do have to admit, I have never really been a true city-chick, I'm to slow to keep up with the hustle and bustle of those city streets!... nor have I been into the city in the last 10years... I know, how pathetic am I? I'm a true Long Islander, LOL! But I do know that I would love to get back in there again soon! With the kiddos too! I know that they would love the subway rides, Central Park, museums, and did I mention the toy store? hee hee... I'm so happy to have gotten to experience it all in my 20s, it will be extra special to go back and visit again often with my boys and create new memories :)

So here's my card, a tribute to NY...
Isn't he delish!? Enjoying his bite of a hotdog! Maybe he went to Nathans! lol!
I personally would prefer Pizza, and hubs would want a sandwich from Carnegie or maybe a visit to Little Italy for some Italian treats, oh geesh! It's always about the food around here! ;)

OH, and lookie here! I used Stickles! My lil sis will be so proud of me, lol! ;)

NYer Cuppie Card Details:
Paper(s): Making Memories "Mistletoe" DP; Papertrey Ink CS
Ink(s): Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Copic Markers
