Oh, Alice! Chapter 42: The Flowers are Talking!

`O Tiger-lily,' said Alice, addressing herself to one that was waving gracefully about in the wind, `I wish you could talk!' `We can talk,' said the Tiger-lily: `when there's anybody worth talking to." Alice was so astonished that she could not speak for a minute: it quite seemed to take her breath away. At length, as the Tiger-lily only went on waving about, she spoke again, in a timid voice -- almost in a whisper. `And can all the flowers talk?' `As well as all can,' said the Tiger-lily. `And a great deal louder.'

Hello from all of us in Wonderland! This week at Oh, Alice! we would like you to have a go at making your own flowers! So get fun creating, we can't wait to see what you come up with!

This week we are being sponsered by 'Some Odd Girl', who have gorgeous Digi Stamps that the DT have been luckily enough to create with this week.
digital stamps

So get creating your own flowers for your chance to win THREE of your very own 'Some Odd Girl' Images! You have until Friday the 10th of Dec to play long with us!

Here is my card using "Princess Mae"...

The moment I saw Mae, I knew that she would make the perfect Queen of Hearts :)
I dipped into my latest TE Key Ingredients Kit (October Afternoon DP), colored Mae with my Copics, and used my trusty, sweet, old Slice to create the flower :)  Popped on a button and some baker's twine - I likey! and I hope you do too ;)

Please be sure to check out the rest of the Tea Party today :)

Welcome Baby...

Happy Wednesday and the day before Turkey Day :)
My boys and I have a ton of chores to get done before tomorrow! We also want to start our Christmas decorating too! We looove to spend Thanksgiving morning in our pjs watching the parade while having brunch in the living room and then getting the last minute details all done for a super early Turkey feast :) I hope that everyone is enjoying their last minute deets too ;)

I wanted to quickly show you a card that I created and within 24hours was used by someone who specifically asked if I had something like it! Don't ya love when that happens?! It was meant to be ;)

This is sweet "Baby Jackson"! Another Puddle Jumper Digital Image (also available as a stamp!) by Lori Boyd for Claudia and Company (found at Die Cuts R Us)...
Ok, so I know that Baby Jackson is suppose to be a boy, lol! but I couldn't help but wonder how versatile he could be, and I think he turned out pretty cute as a 'she' ;) hee hee! I struggle with the color purple, so I was determined to make another purple card that I like - and I think I succeeded ;)
That night, a friend FBed me asking if I had a Baby Shower card that she could use, and bonus if it was in purple! ha! Perfect timing, right?!

I hope you likey!

I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their beautiful weekends!
And look at me! I survived my Craft Fair, lol! Being sick while trying to mingle and talk with people was not easy, but with the help of my sis, I survived and had fun! Yes, I'm paying the price today with a severe case of laryngitis, coughing and the body aches, but it was all worth it ;)  On the plus side, all of my boys are being so well behaved and understanding and have even found that I can be quite entertaining trying to communicate with them using hand gestures and drawing pics!!! LOL!

Oh, Alice! Chapter 34: A Mad Tea Party!

`And ever since that,' the Hatter went on in a mournful tone, `he won't do a thing I ask! It's always six o'clock now.'
A bright idea came into Alice's head. `Is that the reason so many tea-things are put out here?' she asked.
`Yes, that's it,' said the Hatter with a sigh: `it's always tea-time, and we've no time to wash the things between whiles.'
`Then you keep moving round, I suppose?' said Alice.
`Exactly so,' said the Hatter: `as the things get used up.'
`But what happens when you come to the beginning again?' Alice ventured to ask.

~Chapter 7, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

Wonderland greetings to all!
This week's Oh, Alice Challenge is brought to you by our sweet Ky :) and here's what she said: "Can you believe summer is fairly over? It's time to change from iced teas over to hot teas. I love autumn and all the wonderful warm drinks, wonderful sweaters and gorgeous colors it brings. In Wonderland, it was perpetually tea time and I could live that life for a long, long time!"

Your challenge this week is to explore things that could make up your tea-time activity. Use tea bag folding in the construction of your project. This is a great resource: Tea Bag Folding. Anything relating to time would pair perfectly with this challenge, but isn't a requirement!
Show us your fab folding abilities, doing it Alice-style!

Here's my attempt at 'folding' something :)

I attempted to do the Pinwheel tutorial found HERE...
as you can see it is no where close to be a pinwheel of any sort, lol! I just couldn't get it all to work for me, so I did one part 'petal' of a pinwheel and stopped when I found myself with a very cute looking kite ;) I had a ton of fun attempting the folds, but I definitely need a bit more practice! I hope to get one done soon and share :)

My image is Pinky from Tiddly Inks done up Alice-style! If you look closely, I did add a bit of Alice's trademark blue in there, and of course, the gorgeous long blond hair! She's all set for today's Halloween-style-tea-party-picnic with her scrumptious skull-cupcake ;)

You have until midnight Central time on Friday, October 15th to complete your project and link it up to the Oh Alice Challenge blog. You don't want to miss out on your chance of wining a 6x6 pad of Basic Grey papers from Ky!!!
The clock is ticking - SO don't be Late for TEA ;)

Enjoy your weekend!!!
I'll be nursing my ear-pain and snuggling with some good books :)

Stamp(s): Tiddly Inks "Pinky" Digital Image colored with Copic Markers

You Crack Me Up!!!

Yea!!! for fun cards :)
Sometimes it's so refreshing to create something just for fun ;)

I cannot get enough of Audrey from The Greeting Farm! I know I say this a lot, but she is definitely one of my most fave images ever!!! I have proof! She's become my most used image (other than WS Edward! hee, hee!) I wish she was a rubber stamp too ;)

I used this week's Sketch Saturday Week #120 for my card...

Holy moly! Did you see all those layers!? I couldn't help myself!

This DP is another 6x6 sampler pack that I purchased from Die Cuts R Us, it is called "Animal Crackers" by My Mind's Eye - this is their "boy" version! ha! Puh-leeeze!!! As you can see, I think that it's perfect for a girl too! Just wait - I used it on another girly card for a new release tomorrow too! ha! Love it!

I created the stars to match the DP with my Slice! and the sentiments are from a Kraftin Kimmie set that I purchased a long while ago...

So, ummm, I have to admit -
Each sentiment is covering up all of my boo-boos!!! lol!
Oi, don't ask what they are! but I think that it turned out pretty well ;)

Card Details:
Paper(s): My Mind's Eye "Alphabet Soup - Boy" DP, TE Ingredients Kit CS
Stamp(s): The Greeting Farm "Audrey" Digital Image, Kraftin Kimmie Stamps Sentiments
Copic(s): E00, E11, R20, E17, E18, E19, R05, YR07, BG09, BG49, G82, R35, W5
Accessories: TE Ingredients Kit Ribbon, EK Success Border Punch

And as you can see, I couldn't help but finish up the inside too :)

I hope you likey!
Enjoy your Sunday and good luck with Monday -
This is our fist full week of school, so I know that we're going to need a bit of that luck to get through it smoothly ;)
