"This is not Rudolph..." {hee hee!}

'tis the season to be jolly... and have a red nose! ha!
It seems that there are a lot of sickies out there right now, so sorry!!!
I am happy to say that I am finally feeling so much better :) Yay!!!
Here's to a healthy holiday and New Year to all!!!

Today is Thursday!!! Which means another Pixie Dust Studio Challenge!!!
and for this week's challenge, we need to use some sort of stitching on our cards/projects!

This is "Socket the Reindeer", he is one of my fave holiday images from Pixie Dust Studio :)
My little guy was a bit upset with me that I didn't make him a 'Rudolph' with a red glowing nose, lol! ooops! Didn't cross my mind, even with all the red I was using on the card, lol!
and look! I embossed, again! Go me! Starting to put these folders into use ;)
I also did some faux stitching! I have only done that twice before, and I am liking how it looks :)
It really adds something to the card, right?!

Please be sure to check out the Pixies stitched up creations too :)

Happy Thursday :)

"Percy as Max"

Happy Tuesday!!!
... I don't like to whine, but I still have this cold, and it won't go away!
I have been SO frustrated and moody, lol! I'm sure that the stress of meeting deadlines, the holidays and birthdays too, are not helping right now, but it is what it is! Right?!

No sense in dwelling ;) Onto the fun stuffs!!!

Joy is asking us to create a Holiday themed card/project...
I have fallen head over heels over Riley's new best friend, Percy the Penguin!!!
I just haaad to use "Percy as Max" for my holiday card today :)

Ummm, so you all know who Max is, right??? It's okay if you don't...
Max is The Grinch's little dog with the one antler...
it's okay if you didn't, hubs didn't remember him and was completely confused thinking that Percy may have been making fun of Riley with an antler joke of some sort, lol!!!
Even funnier, that hubs is so knowledgeable of who Riley is ;)

Here's Percy...

Isn't he a cutie?!?!

Please be sure to visit the rest of the Moosemates
and see what Holiday wonderfulness they've been up to too!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by :)
Enjoy!!! xo

Oh, Alice! Chapter 25: White Rabbit, White Gloves, White Wonderland...

"After a time she heard a little pattering of feet in the distance, and she hastily dried her eyes to see what was coming. It was the White Rabbit returning, splendidly dressed, with a pair of white kid gloves in one hand and a large fan in the other: he came trotting along in a great hurry, muttering to himself as he came, `Oh! the Duchess, the Duchess! Oh! won't she be savage if I've kept her waiting!'   Alice felt so desperate that she was ready to ask help of any one; so, when the Rabbit came near her, she began, in a low, timid voice, `If you please, sir--' The Rabbit started violently, dropped the white kid gloves and the fan, and skurried away into the darkness as hard as he could go..."
~Alices Adventures in Wonderland, Chapter 2

Hello! We are back in the WHITE heat of August with another fabulous challenge for you today!
This week at Oh, Alice! we are trying to BEAT that heat, and you know, they say you shouldn't wear dark colors this time of the year to keep cool!

In the spirit of that, along with our WHITE Rabbit and his WHITE kid gloves, guess what our challenge is for you today?... That's RIGHT. WHITE WONDERLAND. And we're not talkin' about Christmas! Your mission today, should you choose to accept it is to create (WITH the exception of your main image panel) an ALL WHITE card or project!

We have some fun news today and before we go I'd like to thank Emma Eads for being our July Guest Tea Party member. You did a WONDERFUL job, girlie and we are gonna miss you here on the team!
Since it's the beginning of the month, we are also excited, as it's time to welcome STEPHANIE JONES as our August Guest! Stephanie is SUPER excited to be a guest at our twisted table and we are so happy to have her!

We are also THRILLED to announce a standing sponsorship today with Tickled Pink Stamps! Kellie has offered Oh, Alice a generous monthly sponsorship and we are thrilled to be able to give away such wonderful images to our awesome fans and players!

Here's my 'white' card...

ALL WHITE?! Oh my! This was scary for me, lol! I've never attempted an all white card before - this was so fun since it was so challenging for me! This is one of my fave Lil Lolita's named Ivy! I'm happy that I was at least able to color her in :) I kept reaching for a lil color to add to it! I even tried to see if I could sneak in some silver, but it was too obvious ;)

I LOVE the way this pic came out!
I accidently kept the flash on and this is what happened!

There isn't too much to the card, which makes me love this style even more! Just white cardstock, Prima e. pearls, Making Memories White Dotted Trim... used a Cuttlebug folder to emboss and my MFT Scalloped-Scallops Die-namic for the border :)
Ivy is currently available as a digital image right now for a short time, so ya better hurry up and scoop all the Lil Lolita's up before time is up ;)

What's more?
Tickled Pink Stamps and is offering 1 RUBBER LOLITA of choice to one lucky winner this week! Whoot!

Check out the awesome DT for more inspiration :)

StampInsanity's Newest Challenge and 2 Releases!!!

*Please scroll down to see the latest Pixie Dust Studio Challenge, Thank You :)

Hi again!!!
Wait until you see StampInsanity Stamps newest images and sentiments!!! Squeeee-ing :)

First, the challenge!!!
Challenge #9 is to create you own background!

I couldn't make up my mind as to how I wanted to do create my own background... I tried this inking technique/thing, oh my, what a complete mess I made of that one! LOL!
And then, I tried the "Bubbles" technique - Yes, I managed to mess that up too, and well, I just don't do well with messy things, geesh!!! So, time went on and then I had no time left :(
I'm sorry, I cheated - I used a pre-embossed cardstock and distressed it with different color inks.
However, my pics only reflect the red I used and not the white and blue... I need someone to teach me how to take better pics please ;) Well... I hope you likey anyway :)

This is the front of the card! I distressed my Primas too...
I forgot to tie the ribbon, it was necessary to add a tie when the inside of the card looks like this... !

I attached a stair-step card inside of my 6x6 card :)
All sentiments are from StampInsanity's new "Simply Supernatural" set!

Here is a close-up of the front of the card...

And, a close up of the inside...
Zed (aka Edward), Izzy (aka Bella) and Jack (aka Jacob)

I loved coloring in their hair and eyes!!! So versatile!!!

Here's the latest 2 releases!!!
"Simply Supernatural" Sentiments

AND...
"What the Heart Wants"

To die for, right?!?!
Love this new trio!!! and the sentiments match perfectly to create so many awesome cards!!!

Hi again :)

*2nd post for today!!!
Please be sure to scroll down and see this week's
Pixie Dust Challenge :)
Thank you!!!

It's time for a...

This week's challenge #8 is to create an...
Easel Card

I fell in love with "Pearl Princess" from today's new release called...
Mystic Beauties

I really wanted to try to create a mostly white card, but it turned out to be more of a monochromatic card (?)
Either way, I love how it turned out!
But, it turned out to be so hard for me to take a pic of a mostly white and light colored card...
any suggestions out there? I would be sooo ever grateful for any tips!
Thank you :)

Here's my card!!!

I really enjoyed coloring this image in! I wanted to keep the colors as light and bright as possible!
And look! No DP again! yea me ;)
I thought that the embossing would help create that underwater look I was trying to capture for Pearl Princess :)

Princess Pearl Card Details:
Paper(s):
Papertrey Ink White CS; Martha Stewart CS
Ink(s): Copic Markers:

Oh, Alice! Chapter 10: Queen of Tarts...

On this the White Rabbit blew three blasts on the trumpet,
and then unrolled the parchment scroll,
and read as follows:

"The Queen of Hearts,
she made some tarts,
All on a summer day:

The Knave of Hearts,
he stole those tarts,
And took them quite away!"

Uh ohhhhhhh...someone has stolen the Queen's Tarts! That's a no-no! We need to restore the sweetness back to Wonderland, don't you agree? That means it's time for a sweet treat here...or maybe a mushroom or two? I think I saw one floating around here that said "Eat Me" ;)

Your mission, should you choose to accept it,
is to incorporate FOOD into this week's project!
Everyone loves a little treat, right? hee, hee

We have ANOTHER TREAT for you today...and it's a rather LARGE and generous portion!
We are thrilled to welcome CLEAR AND SIMPLE STAMPS as our sponsor this week! The fabulous prize? A whopping $25 Gift Certificate to the Clear and Simple Stamps Store! Clear and Simple Stamps was soooo very kind to send me some
"Make a Wish" images to create with :)
Thank you!!!

And look!!! No pattern paper!!!

Hmmm, it seems that I may have gone a bit "Twilight-y"...
so sorry, lol!
I guess with the new Eclipse trailer being released at the same time that I was trying to create this card -
I got a bit confused - Edward can do that to a girl ;) hee, hee!
The inside...

A Fun Fairy Friday Challenge with a Jr Guest :)

*Please scroll down for Pixie Dust Studio and
StampInsanity's Newest Challenges and Releases!
- Thank You :)

Good evening!
We're so happy to bring you this week's
Fun Fairy Friday Challenge!!!

For week 13, Roberta has challenged us to give our projects some...
Texture

Hmmm, that is a challenge for me, lol!
But it wasn't for Prairie Fairy's April Jr. Guest Designer...
NICKY!!!

You won't believe how very excited he was and still is
to be "projecting" for someone other than me :)
Thank You, Roberta!!!
... and he is sooo happy, that he had to make 2 cards for his first challenge!
I'm so proud of him!

But fist, I must keep you in suspense (upon request, lol!) and show you my card ;)
... and I'll be entering my card into the following challenges:
- Charisma Cardz Challenge #13 - Animal Magic
Spring Card with Fabric (Felt Flowers)

This is Prairie Fairy's "Summer Fun" Digital Image...
I distressed the bottom layer and swiss dotted the panels for texture -

Nicky pointed out to me, that the felt flowers are "feelies" too ;)
... and maybe the wood making up the clothespin...
- just be careful that you don't get a splinter ;)

Summer Fun Card Details:
Paper(s):
BasicGrey DP; Papertrey Ink CS
Ink(s): Copic Markers
Accessories: misc. felt flowers; Recollections clothespin;
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder; Spellbinders Label Eight Nestabilitie

Now it's Nicky's turn ;)
... and please keep in mind,
Nicky created his cards and we pre-posted his portion last Tuesday afternoon...
and that he's 6 1/2 and I am going to type exactly what he tells me too,
hee hee... enjoy!

... and he's also agreed to enter both his cards to

"Hi everyone! I made 2 cards for today's Project Challenge for Miss Prairie Fairy :)"
Here's my first card using Fairy Princess' "Timmy Turtle":

"I used the project machine to make the roundness around the turtle
and extra bumpy stars on the star paper
and then I sand the bumpy stars with sand paper too...
You can make pretend that you can feel the turtle's hard shell too,
if you want too... "

"And I made another card, because it's Easter time :)"

"I colored only a little bit of the "BoBilly Bunny" and he's sitting on grass that I punched...
I used the project machine again to make leaves on the red paper and shapes...
and I made the bow all by myself using sticky glue dots.
You can feel the 2 papers bumps and the grass...
This is for my Mama, so I had to put a lot of colors on it
because she likes lots of bright colors..."

Nicky's Card Details:
Paper(s): Stampin' Up DP and CS
Studio G Easter Sentiment
Ink(s): Crayola Crayon Markers
Accessories: Making Memories Buttons; Spellbinders Small Oval and Tag Nestabilities;
Cuttlebug Stars and Vines Embossing Folders; misc. ribbon; Petaloo Flower;
misc. paper ribbon scraps; misc. grass punch

"I hope you like my cards! because I like them very much!
I colored inside the lines too!
They're cute! and more fun than Mommy's...
Thank You!!!"

Yes my dear friends,
he did say that his cards were cuter and more fun
than mine ;)
LOL!

He's also hoping to get a lot more comments than me,
so if you have a sec,
skip me and leave him a lil comment, please :)
I would soooo appreciate it!
He's learning how to read, so I can't fib anymore, lol!
He will be reading and sounding out the words ;)
and...
He's my big boy and like all Mommy's with lil boys -
we don't know how long this is going to last,
I fear the day when Mom is no longer the cool one
and he just wants to hang with Dad, Lil Bro and Friends...
sigh... not going to think about it ;)

Thanks so much!
We also look forward to seeing who will join in the challenges too!
Happy Friday! Hugs!!!
