The Greeting Farm - Farm Fresh Challenge blog today!!!

Bella Blvd's Too Cute to Spook...

So we dusted off my "Spooktacular" Stamp Set and got inky!!!

Here's a card by my Nicky...

It's Your Birthday!!!

TGIF everyone!!!
I had scheduled my post to be up this morning, and I come home to find that not only did it not post, but it completely disappeared! tsk, tsk... I am typing with frozen fingers! Oh how they ache!
This morning there was a Pumpkin Festival of sorts at my kiddos school today,
and everything was outside in this 50-something degree windy weather we are having!
Eeeek! They had to cut it short a few minutes, these poor Kindergartens were really starting to feel the cold too, poor wee ones...

and yes, I am feeling so much better now! Have had a lingering cold for over a week, and just started to feel like myself again yesterday! I hope that I didn't overdo it with today already, lol! Oh well, that's why we have weekends for, right?! ;)

Now that I'm thawing out and can somewhat feel my fingers a bit ;)
I want to share my card for today's Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge!!!

For today's sketch, I used Taylor Expressions a la carte stamp,
"It's Your Birthday"..

The last time that I used this stamp, the colors were dark, you can see it here!
So for this time, I was really in the mood to play with some bright colors
and decided to pull some scraps from my Echo Park pad
and have some fun with the sketch...

I created a second card too!
but left off the 2 side panels, lol!
Just goes to show that maybe I shouldn't be creating when I'm not feeling so good ;)
Oh, and instead of using ribbon, I used Taylored Expressions die,
"Basic Bow

Here's the awesome sketch:

... and here are the stamps and dies I used:

I love the Banner Stamp Sets SO much!!!
It is such a fancy way to add your sentiments and give your card/project that extra 'something-something' to it :)

Here's my trio of cards...
I stamped Angel and my Banner sentiments onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink... I did a bit of coloring on my Angels with Copic Markers...

Did some paper piecing :)

and added a touch of sparkle on their halos and wings :)
using my Spica Glitter Pen!

Here are all the stamp sets and dies that I used:

While creating for this hop I decided to keep myself to using only a small amount of designer papers and cardstock; I knew that I was going to have to do something with my scraps and decided to keep going with another Christmas card using the Trim the Trees Die... a sentiment from the Banner Holiday Stamp Set, some Kraft Cardstock and the Medium Scallop Border Die too :)

Are you getting in the mood to stamp?

Be sure to check out Taylor 's 12 Days of A Handmade Christmas Video Series for lots of easy gift ideas. I especially love Day TWO of the series!!!
I really do hope that I can create a fabulous calendar like Taylor's found HERE!!!

No Coloring Books!

SERIOUSLY?!?!
Um, yes, GOOOD MOOORNING!!!
It's a bit too early to process this, but there is to be NO coloring going on this week!
Eeeek!!!

Today at Sparkle Creations
they are challenge us to do NO coloring!
Zip! Zilch! None! Zero!!!  {gulp!}

I was able to work through my withdrawls, lol, and created this card using

As you can see, I did have to add a little something ;)
and thought that if I stamped on Kraft CS it would keep me from wanting to color in more... sigh... it was very very very hard to resist! Especially since this was my first time using this Ruby stamp!
I should have paper pieced, maybe that would have helped with my withdrawls ;)
Either way, I definitely will have to use the Ruby stamps again very soon!

Hope you all play along!
Be sure to visit the rest of the DT for some more non-coloring inspiration!
I have to admit, when I got a peek of everyone's creations,
I was completely amazed on everyone's creativity on this!
Such a talented team to be a part of :) :) :)
I'm inspired to try again!!!

Happy Tuesday my friends!!! xoxo

Christmas Embossing???

Good morning! A brand new day to play :)
Still feeling ookie and tired, but making the best of it!!!
Just wanted to stop real quick and post my card for today's
This week we challenge you to add some embossing to your card/project...

Someone asked me to create a very simple sample Christmas card
using Kraft Cardstock :) and this is what I came up with...
I embossed the edges all around to create a border...

Simple enough??? :)

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!
Be sure to visit the DT and see their amazing embossed cards too :)

Happy Monday :) :) :)

On the 6th Day of HALLOWEEN!!!

On the SIXTH day of HALLOWEEN...
my true love gave to me
SIX GOBLINS GOBBLING!!!
Five scary spooks!
Four skeletons,
Three black cats,
Two trick-or-treaters,
and an owl in a rotten oak tree!!!

'morning friends!!!
It's starting to get spooky around here!
Have you all seen what's been going on at

I am super excited to have been invited to play along with their 12 Days of Halloween this year!!!
Be sure to stop by the Simple Betty Stamps Blog for more details!!!...
Everyone their, especially Betty, just loooves Halloween!
and there are prizes every day!
Take a peek and play along :)

For my "goblin", I decided to use "Franken Jude"...
I have to admit, I had a hard time picking a "goblin" for this, lol!
Cindy aka The Scrappy Chick helped me out with choosing my goblin
and sent me this from Wikipedia...
"A goblin is a legendary evil or mischievous illiterate creature,
described as a grotesquely evil-like phantom."
hmmm...
We decided that a 'Frankenstein-ish' guy would fit this description...
even though Jude is definitely waaay too cute to be considered 'grotesquely', LOL!

My SIX things are the buttons!!!
This idea has been brewing in my head for quite a while now!
and I am so happy to finally be able to use it on this card today :)
I am LOVING my twine!!! hee hee
I colored Jude in with my Copics, used some Bella Blvd 'To cute To spook" scraps
and the 'boo' sentiment is a Making Memories sticker from 2 years ago, lol!

It's time to dig out some goblins and get your spook on!!!
You have until October 31st to play along :)

Thanks for stopping by today!!!
Happy Weekend to you all :*)

my Princess :)

GOOD Morning peeps!!!
I have been feeling a bit under the weather for the last few days,
a small cold and no energy at all :p
My mojo is still playing games with me and has been very temperamental, lol!
We're going to have to have a talk soon,
these late night craft times are definitely not helping me get rid of this lingering cold! ha!

It's FRIDAY!!! Yay!!! What are you up to today???
First things first! For me, it's all about The Greeting Farm's
And this time, we "spied"... Sheri Gilson's card over HERE!!!
Ian is SO handsome with his cap and gown surrounded by green!
Very inspiring layout too!

I thought that "Babette" from TGF's Blush Society Collection
would be fun to color up! I just looove all that hair!!!
and used a senti from the new "Build a Onsie - Girl" clear stamp set...

Except for the card's base and the twine, I used all scraps again!!!
I will be posting pics soon of my new scrappy area and how I keep track of all my scraps;
My crafty area is small and I don't have a lot of room,
nor do I have a lot of product! and since I'm right in the living room, I have to be sure not to leave much of a mess and that it all can fit nicely in my one spot :)
My happy place ;) hee, hee

Ohhhh!!!... and for some extra fun!!!
Since last week, the TGFC DT got to play along with the Bugaboo-ers,
THIS WEEK Bugaboo Stamps gets to play along with us!!! Woo hoo!!!
Waving HI!!!

So please be sure to stop by both TGFFFC's Blog and Bugaboo's Blog
for all the wonderful inspiration this week :) :) :)

Happy Birthday and True Love for A Thousand Years...

Happy Thursday!!! Woo hoo!!!
I'm a happy girl :) :) :)
Today I'm sharing my card from Pixie Dust Studio!!!

This week, Pixie Dust Studio's challenge is to create a
Birthday themed card/project!!!

I have to admit, I was stumped as to what to do for this challenge, lol!
It's a birthday theme, it's suppose to be simple, right?!
Well, when you have your mojo playing peek-a-boo lately, you'd be stumped too ;)

I decided that I needed to use this lil half of the "Mun-kins" digital image from
the latest Pixie of Oz Collection :)

I used up the rest of my red with white polka-dots Jillibean Soup DP scraps!
and just went on picking out other scraps to go along with it!
Everything was a piece of scrap that was sitting in my bin - even the Kraft ;)
Don't ya just looove when a card finally comes together all on its own!!!

I've got one more card to share with you ;)

Now, where are all my Twi-peeps hiding?!?!
The latest movie is almost here!!! Woo Hoo!!!
Have you seen the latest movie-pics and trailer that were officially released!?
I have to admit, the wolf is looking good, lol! but myyyyy Edward looks pretty good too ;)
I cannot wait to see this wedding!!!

In anticipation of Breaking Dawn,
Pixie's Bookshelf has TWO a challenges going on :)
The first, leave a comment with your fave Twi-Quote!!!
and the second...
Create a card/project inspired by the Twilight Saga and add something sparkle-y to it!

I decided to you use this digital image from Pixie Dust Studio called
"Marry Me... Bella"

Lots of sparkly things going on here, unfortunately you can't see it all so well in my pic...
the paper is The Mariposa Stack from DCWV - lots of sparkle on the swirls and butterflies...

... and I also dug up this 6x6 layout that I made a while ago!
But I love it so much that I just had to share it again :)

Here I used "Love Sparkles" and "True Love"...

Did you hear this song yet????
It sums up the entire Twilight Saga perfectly... I'm so in love with it!
I can't wait to get myself the Breaking Dawn soundtrack :)

Have a wonderful Thursday friends!!! xoxo

Spooky and Sweet!!! {Taylored Expressions October Blast from the Past Blog Hop!}

Happy Wednesday!!!
I loooove Wednesdays :)  It's right in the middle of the week, Hubs is always off and there is usually something fun going on somewhere !!!

For today's fun, I'm hopping along with the
There is a double-theme going on for this month:
"Trick or Sweet"
Create a Halloween themed card
or a sweet treat to celebrate an occasion

I decided to play around with both theme's and pulled out my
"Sweet Celebration" stamp set again and used a scrap of Bella Blvd Too Cute to Spook DP and came up with this card...

I thought that this lil cuppie would look cute as a ghost cuppie!!!
and why not give him a yummy candy corn birthday cake to eat :)
I had so much fun breaking away from the typical birthday color combos
for a Halloween birthday themed card!!!
