Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge #12

Sorry I'm late - again! Sheesh! At least I can breathe again... I'll explain everything at the end of my post ;) Here we are again... it's time for...

This weeks Challenge #12 theme was chosen by our very own Julie {When the Stars Fall From the Sky}: "Inspiration from Quotes"!
... take inspiration from quotes from any of the Twilight books (even Midnight Sun) or you may choose a quote from the movie!

Create something based on the quote.
All crafters of any type are welcome - cards, scrapbook layouts, jewelry, drawings, etc... we'd love to see it!
Please leave a comment here (Tonya at Stamp Happens) with a link to where we can see your creation, and if posting to SCS, please use keyword TTIC12.
For the comment portion of the challenge, please tell us your favorite quotes from the Twilight world and a little bit about why you like it.

Please don't forget to check out the other DT's creations:

Tonya, Stamp Happens

Eve, This is Bliss

Beth, Stamp Insanity

Dani, Count Your Beautiful Blessings

Julie, When the Stars Fall From the Sky

Rebecca, Bella Carta

Jen, Deconstructing Jen

I was tossed between 2 of my fave quotes...

"What is a valid reason for someone to love someone else?"
~ Bella Swan (speaking to Jacob), Eclipse, Ch. 4, pg. 110
AND
"When will you see yourself clearly?"
~ Edward (speaking to Bella), Breaking Dawn, Ch. 39, pg. 744
I went with Edward's...

Here's the inside of the front flap (not the inside of the card):
Yes, that is a mirror... I love this quote! Let me explain... I don't believe that any of us ever really see ourselves, even when we look in the mirror... we never actually pay attention to who we really are and how beautiful we are in the inside and out :) Next time you go by a mirror... press pause... take a look at yourself... think about all the good things about yourself :) You'll be happier - even if it is just for the rest of the day! ;)
(lol, I was trying soooo very hard to get good angles without me or my hand in the pics!!!)
Ok... so now for my lil' drama... I originally went with the first quote... finished it last night 'cause I am a huge procrastinator, but also a perfectionist when it comes to my work! (but not house-cleaning, lol!)... I was waiting 'til morning to take pics...
Big mistake! My lil' guy got to it! Red marker ALL over it - inside and out!!! He wanted to "help and fix it mommy"... ummm... yea, too cute to yell and punish the adorable 2 1/2 year old! LOL!
It really was toooooo far gone to save... I needed time to think - so into the shower I went... came out, bumped into my makeup bag... out came flying my compact and... thanks to CoverGirl and the second quote that I love so much.... my new card was created in 20 minutes this morning ;) and I love it even more!

Details: Fiskar corner punch, unknown CS and vellum DP, BasicGrey "Beautiful" rub-on, BasicGrey heart die-cut, unknown glitter brads, K&Company jewel, Queen&Co. flower, CoverGirl compact mirror and a lil' piece of Velcro (the front flap won't stay down on it's own!).

I CANNOT believe what everyone is doing with this quote challenge -- I just said on Beth's blog (http://stampinsanity.blogspot.com/) that I was moved by hers...and I am totally moved by this one too. Honestly, this is making me misty -- what you did with this quote is truly spectacular. And it's nice that you're in the photo! Beautiful, beautiful job.

That is absolutely brilliant! I love it. It's a fantastic concept and very original. But I think what you said is the best part. You turned that quote into something we should all really think a little harder about. You ROCK!!!

I'm not a twilight fan, i know but i wanted to read the books first so i don't know anything about it but i just wanted to let you know that this is so beautiful, the card the quote and your post today... so true.

my father used to tell me, to look at yourself in the mirror everyday and tell yourself that you're beautiful and worth it :)
thanks for letting me remember to do that, i used to do that all the time and stopped.

I love the quote you picked and what you said about it, another great idea...neat how you took the picture of you in the mirror too!

I love that you used a mirror for this because nothing better "reflects" the quote than the image of yourself in the mirror. Love it!

O.M.E.!!!!! This is A-MAAAAZ-ING!!!

And genius! Sometimes my best cards, too, come out of inopportune moments :-) you would have not created that card if your DS hadn't found a marker and "helped" you with it! LOL

I'm jumping up and down!!! Not only is this card absolutely and utterly FANTASTIC!!!--the reasoning is so true and wise that all of us should READ and RE READ it!!! AND..I just recently saw some mirrors for scrapping/card making and LOVED them but had no idea what to use them for...you solved that one!!! This is STUNNING!

What an absolutely creative twist for your quote! Then you go and make me laugh with your trying to take pics of it without you being in the mirror! Then I laugh at your 2 1/2 year olds escapade! You are a riot! And a creative one at that! Love this! Best, Curt
