Loonie Stamper's Challenge #22 - Altered Pink!

Pink! Yes, it's all pink! I have been getting in touch with my 'girlie-girl' side ;) Pink is one of my fave colors - you wouldn't really know that unless you really knew me - I tend to wear a lot of gray and blue... but that's what happens when you live in a home full of ALL boys! :)

Ok... I was watching Shrek II for the umpteenth time with the boys and noticed that they were totally into the movie and behaving sooo very well - I just had to take advantage that all was well and cleaned up and snuck into my room to do a lil scrapping ;)

I remember that Loonie Stamper's challenge said "Pink" was the theme... I couldn't remember all the details so I just went with the pink...

... and this is what I originally came up with:

Isn't she cute?!
Really quick, here's the details: Image from RAK that I received from Tammi of Tropical Dreams (Thank you!) - colored with my Copics, Spica sparkle markers and I used White Opal Liquid Pearls on the snow; Uknown DP; Bazill and SU CS; SU Ribbon; Fiskar Lace Punch
Then I remembered that this is the challenge:
Ooops!
Well... technically - I did "alter" the cardstock and put everything together, right? lol!
Ok, okay... so, it just sooo happens that I was eyeing these 2 lil shadow boxes that I picked up at the dollar store last week, here's one of them:
It's a shadow box from Hallmark. I thought that maybe I could pry it open and put a pic in it or something... lol!, this lil box is glued shut!!! There was no way to pry it open!
I like it, it's a cute box, but it's all scratched and scuffed up...
Soooo here's what I did:
I LOVE it!!! and I think that I am going to end up keeping it for myself! LOL! It will be the only pink object in this house!
Details: Hallmark Shadow Box; Colorbox ink to distress the edges; Unknown DP (might be My Mind's Eye?); Prima flowers; BasicGrey Sultry fibers; K&Company Gems.

Margie....this shadow box is awesome. I love what it says. Low cut jeans are not in my vocabulary. I don't think they sell them at the "big" girl store...haha. And love the pink card too. I had to chuckle at your post.

I love the little shadowbox. Display that "Only pink" Item proudly in the house. I love what you said about kids being enthrolled by the movie, I do that with my girls ALL the time... They think Mommy is being SUPER nice when I put in a new or fave movie. I hope they never figure out that I really wanna get crafty!!

Thanks for playing LSC!!
