Banana Split Sunday Challenge#01, Flutter by Wednesday Challenge#48 and Loonie Stampers Challenge#30

Wow! It's been a while since I've done a challenge other than my fave of all... you know the one... right?! Oh, c'mon now... Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenges!

LOL!, ok, ok... I can see my sis right now, reading that and rolling her eyes at me... ;)
I decided that I wanted to give the first new sketch challenge over at 2RedBananas a try... the Banana Split Sunday Challenge #01 <--- too cute to pass up!
... and then I noticed that I was able to include the Flutter by Wednesday Challenge #48 (use a butterfly and flowers) and the Loonie Stamper's Challenge #30 (anything butterflies)!
Here's my card...
Isn't this lil pup stamp adorable? Jami Bova of Stamp Happy with Sgt. Stamper created this lil stamp set (and others) for 2RedBananas webstore... Sentiment reads:
"To get the full value of joy you must have someone to divide it with!"
~ Mark Twain
I'm still not very good at circles and ovals, even when using a circle cutter!!! lol!
I finally got around to trying out the dabbing technique using SU and Colorbox ink... the background was just too plain...
I also used my Copic blender pen... I'm happy with my coloring, but not so much with my dp color-combo, lol!

Doggie Card Details:
Paper: SU Windsor Knot DP; SU White Confetti CS.
Stamps: 2RedBananas "Value of Joy" Stamp Set
Ink: SU Close to Cocoa; Copics; Spica glitter markers; Colorbox Blue Lagoon.
Accessories: Prima flowers; dew drops; Making Memories ribbon; misc. buttons.

Thanks for looking... enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!

Loonie Stamper's Challenge #22 - Altered Pink!

Pink! Yes, it's all pink! I have been getting in touch with my 'girlie-girl' side ;) Pink is one of my fave colors - you wouldn't really know that unless you really knew me - I tend to wear a lot of gray and blue... but that's what happens when you live in a home full of ALL boys! :)

Ok... I was watching Shrek II for the umpteenth time with the boys and noticed that they were totally into the movie and behaving sooo very well - I just had to take advantage that all was well and cleaned up and snuck into my room to do a lil scrapping ;)

I remember that Loonie Stamper's challenge said "Pink" was the theme... I couldn't remember all the details so I just went with the pink...

... and this is what I originally came up with:

Isn't she cute?!
Really quick, here's the details: Image from RAK that I received from Tammi of Tropical Dreams (Thank you!) - colored with my Copics, Spica sparkle markers and I used White Opal Liquid Pearls on the snow; Uknown DP; Bazill and SU CS; SU Ribbon; Fiskar Lace Punch
Then I remembered that this is the challenge:
Ooops!
Well... technically - I did "alter" the cardstock and put everything together, right? lol!
Ok, okay... so, it just sooo happens that I was eyeing these 2 lil shadow boxes that I picked up at the dollar store last week, here's one of them:
It's a shadow box from Hallmark. I thought that maybe I could pry it open and put a pic in it or something... lol!, this lil box is glued shut!!! There was no way to pry it open!
I like it, it's a cute box, but it's all scratched and scuffed up...
Soooo here's what I did:
I LOVE it!!! and I think that I am going to end up keeping it for myself! LOL! It will be the only pink object in this house!
Details: Hallmark Shadow Box; Colorbox ink to distress the edges; Unknown DP (might be My Mind's Eye?); Prima flowers; BasicGrey Sultry fibers; K&Company Gems.
