WOOF!!!

Happy, happy Thursday to you :)
It's almost TGIF!!!
It's supposedly a tad bit warmer right now than it has been in the last 2 days... I don't think so! lol! I try to limit myself to one cup of hot cocoa per day, or none at all {eek!} BUT this frigid weather has been to mean to me, and I have had to double up on my intake ;) hee, hee! Not like I'm complaining or anything! ha!!!

It's a new year, and Pixie Dust Studio has some new challenges coming up!!!
This week's challenge is to create a monochromatic card/project
pick ONE color! any color! and have a blast with it :)

However, it seems that I've had yet another brain-freeze with another color challenge this week and decided to add Kraft to my color combo, ugh! but look! Doesn't it make my card look so much prettier??? Imagine it without the Kraft - wouldn't it look so drab...

This little pup's name is Woof :)
Kathy has a few images using Woof, BUT she specifically created Woof alone and in a larger scale for my little guy - upon his request, he needed a puppy to color all on his own and she, the most wonderful Pixie Queen ever, made my boy very very very happy when she sent him his very own Woof to play with :)  and he finally gave me permission to use him too, hee hee!

Oh! and I am also entering my Woof card into the following challenges:
- The Pink Elephant Challenge #129: Anything goes!
- Papertake Weekly Challenge: Anything goes!
- The Kraft Journal: Anything goes!
- Make It Monday Challenge #70: Anything goes!

Have a wonderful Thursday!!!
and stay warm!!!

friends :)

Oh, gosh! Is it really Monday already?! eeek!
Everyone in my home is a bit sicky right now; it's been a chorus of coughs, sneezes, nose sniffles, etc. all weekend long. My poor lil guy seems to have it the worse since he is the one with the ear infection :(
The weekend flew by much too fast, not enough time to shake off the back-to-school germs :p
Hopefully, they won't linger for too long ;)

Onto a happier, but bittersweet post :)
This is my last challenge playing along with The Pink Elephant DT...
I had such a wonderful time playing along with this amazing and talented DT!
A big thank you to Lori and Sheri for letting me be a part of it for this term :)
I know for a fact that I will still be playing along when I can!
Who can resist a pink elephant?! :)

So for today's The Pink Elephant challenge,
you have to CHOOSE one of the DTs creations to CASE!!!
How awesomely cool is that?!
You can choose to create with one of the DTs color scheme,
layout/sketch, the image that they used, etc.
Whatever inspires you, just go with it and have FUN!

Here's what I created...
of course I just haaad to go all boy for this challenge ;)

I used this handsome boy duo, "Boys'R Us" by LORi Designs...
This image reminded me of MY boys  :)
Of course they're brothers, but they tell each other ALL the time that they are each others
Best Friend too :)  Melts my heart every time :)

I also used my new pad of My Mind's Eye "Here We Go" and some delish The Twinery baker's twine that my sister so graciously shared with me! I just loooove this stuff - the colors are so vibrant and fun!

Please be sure to take a peek at the other DT cards too!
Even though I'm pretty sure you all are just screaaaaming to CASE a boy card,
RIGHT?! ;) hee hee!

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Monday! xoxo

'morning!!! and Happy Monday :)
It's time for another cool sketch at The Pink Elephant this week!!!

... and here's the super cute sketch!!!

This week, we are being sponsored by...
Tickled Pink Stamps

I was lucky enough to create with...
Lil Pinkettes Coraline

Sorry, for the odd pic!
I still haven't fully unpacked and set up my desk the way I like it yet...
I am loving Coraline! She seems to have a sassy cool attitude flying about :)
My lil guy said, "I guess she like polka-dots too much", lol!
Went a bit overload with the dots, in my defense, there are dots in the sketch too ;)
hee hee!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Please be sure to check out what Ella's girls created with the sketch too!!!

Enjoy your Labor Day :)
{One and a half days until school officially starts, eeek!!!}

The power is ON!!! Must KETCHUP!!!

Seriously peeps! Three and a half days without power was something that we really did not expect! lol! Power started to come back on in our neighborhood really early this morning, around 1am... but we were left for last, we were starting to think that maybe they forgot about us, lol! But if finally came on around 10ish this morning! Such a releif! We were truly blessed that this was our only problem! Really made us appreciate the little things in life! How precious every minute is! and how spoil we all really are! hee hee!

Now that we have done most of our errands today, grabbed some much needed groceries and a bite to eat! I've got a few crafty things to share with you :) SO grab a snack AND a drink, it's going to be a long post, I have a card and 2 - heArt Journaling entries!!! I really missed being online! But, priorities first! My boys will officially start school a week from today, 2nd grade orientation on Friday and Kindergarten orientation on Tuesday, busy, busy! Gotta get those sneakers too... digressing, sorry... here are my creations :)

This week, The Pink Elephant's Challenge is to do some paper piecing!!!
I heart paper piecing! and decided to use my Greeting Farm My Guy Stamp Set for it and My Mind's Eye DP...

Such a handsome fella! I started this right before our lights went out, had to do the gluing parts with a flashlight, you can see that there is glue smudged everywhere, lol! shhh, don't tell ;)

I am entering my card into the following challenges that are still going on, lol!
I had created this card for 4 other challenges, but I wasn't able to post it in time ;)
- The Pink Elephant #114: Paper Piecing
- Crazy 4 Challenges #102: Male themed card
- Raise the Bar Challenge #72: Primary Colors (Red, Blue, Yellow)

Here's a close-up...

I will never forget this card! :)

Next up, I have my heArt Journaling with The Greeting Farm...

Week 5: Pieces of Me
Assignment: Create a spread/page using layering and paper piecing techniques.
Use any stamps you want, colors, etc.

There is a TON of layering going on here! LOL!
This was what I created 2 weeks ago, I just never had a chance to post it here on my blog...
First, I started to draw something, didn't like it, so I Gesso-ed over it...
I always like to add my DP with Modge Podge first! The DP and Stickers came from my latest TE Key Ingredients Kit! Once I saw these papers from Echo Park, I knew that I just needed to create a page about me and my bumble-y blog :)

Some close-ups...

What do you think!? :)

Week 6: Text Me!
Assignment: Create a spread/page using mainly text and lettering!
This includes numbers, symbols, handwritten or typed, phrases, etc.
Use any stamps you want, colors, etc.

I started creating this piece on canvas at my sister house with some friends this last Monday :)
Originally, this lil awesome group was to meet up at my house, but with the power outage, we changed it over to my sisters... then, she lost power too! ugh! Everyone came to hang out anyways, and within 20 mins the power came back on! Yay!!!
I was able to get the majority of it done at her house...
and as you can see above, I brought it home to add some stickers, doodling and rub-ons via flashlight! lol!

Here she is! My "Pretty in Pink Me" on canvas!
First, I Gesso-ed the canvas, then applied my KandCompany DP with Modge Podge
and added the border of crackle paint by Tim Holtz...

I then started on my 'girl'... I used polka-dotted papers for her head, arms, legs and shirt.
I decided to use crepe paper for her skirt, super fun! but hard to stamp on, lol!

The paper itself had a ton of text in the corners,
I also used numerous stamps and Cosmo Cricket stickers and rub-ons all around...

I didn't doodle much this time, wasn't feeling it.
I really love all the rub-ons! I never had a thing for those and don't have anymore!
Must find some more asap! If you have any suggestions as to where I can purchase a bunch of floral, border  and butterfly rub-ons, please do let me know :) Thanks!!!

And here's a view at my messy desk, lol!
It was hard to find things in the dark, oi!

Thanks for sticking this post out with me!
I hope you're all do well! I cannot wait to catch up with everyone within the next few days!
I'm 'off like a prom dress'!!! Gots lots to bake and prepare for our shopping trip tomorrow :)
hugs xoxo

One lucky random winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to the Tiddly Inks Store!!!
and the challenge is to use some sort of STITCHING, real or faux, on your card/project...

"You and Me"
I just fell in love with this couple!
Of course they reminded me of Edward and Bella :)
But their is just something about this image that just says, love...
I used embroidery floss to create my stitches! The thread is really thick, I recommend using only half the strands instead of all 6, like me, lol! Iit was hard to get through the thick cardstock, and made some large ugly holes that you can kinda see, sigh... live and learn ;)
Hope you likey!!!

VROOOM!!! {The Pink Elephant Sketch Challenge #110}

It's MONDAAAY!!!
AND the 1st of the month too!!!
I cannot believe that it is August already! Things are whizzing by way too fast lately!
So, since it's a Monday and the first, I wanna start it all off on the right foot!
Going to straighten up and organize a bit and later on, my kiddos are going to go for some fun playtime, which means that ME gets to have some alone time :)  Un-interrupted alone time! Love my kiddos "to infinity and beyond" but I do cherish my bits of quietness and relaxation :)

Another fabulous way to start off the week is with another
This week we have an amazing sketch and generous sponsor,
The DT was so very lucky to have the honor of choosing a stamp set to create with!
and I, of course, had to go with this sweet buggy set called "Vroom"
I LOOOVE this lil BUGGY!!!
For my first card, I created the card below, hee hee!
I wanted to do more with this set and sketch, so I created this second card too, which I heart so much!!!
This time, I used the smaller buggy stamp, colored her up (cause we all know, all cars are girls, right?!) and just started layering, layering, layering! Yes, you can now add pop-dots to my latest craze/addiction ;)

See the layers :)

Here is the original card I created!
I paper-pieced the ENTIRE buggy except for the actual black tire part!
Oh how I wish I had a buggy like this! I've always wanted a VW convertible!!! I want it with a cow-print interior and a cow horn!!! LOL! I've seen/heard it done, it exists! Not legal to honk a moo horn, but you can add in a button for kicks ;)

Sorry, almost forgot, since Blogger is being a poop again this morning...
Here's the amazing sketch!!!

Be sure to check out the rest of the DTs beautiful creations :)
Enjoy!!!
