Just got back from the docs a bit ago: double ear and sinus infection!

Yay me!!!

Funny how you can be feeling awesome and caught up...

and then a few seconds later, your down and out!

So, here's my lame attempt at a post until the meds kick in ;)

Oh! and what was up with blogger last night?! geesh! I waaas trying to get my posts done when I was still kinda seeing straight, BUT! Blogger wouldn't let me :p phooey!

First! Today's Pixie Dust Studio Challenge #56 is to

"Tie It UP!" by using 2 or more ribbons!

I used "Alice" from the Down The Rabbit Hole Collection!

... a bit of Nikki Sivils DP and Burlap Buttons... and some leftover MFT Ribbons!

Next! 

StampInsanity Stamps Challenge #41 is all about "Hardcore Hardware"!!!

Use some metal to create your masterpiece ~ a tool, embellishment… or something from your junk drawer! The possibilities are endless!

I used Henry from the "Meet Morgan and Henry Rubber Stamp Set"...

Used scraps of DP and PTI CS...

and if you haven't guessed ;)  I used different colored staples as my "hardcore metal"!!!

In NEED of more Chocolate!!!

Hello my dear bloggy friends :)

It has finally dawned on me that I am a gal that really just can't do it all right now...

I've been struggling for the last few months to keep up with my boys, home, blog, cards, DTs, etc. that I have been neglecting me, my needs, even my small daily dose of much needed chocolate ;)

For the rest of the year, there will be less posts from me during the week - especially since most of my DTs have given us the holidays off :) and I am looking forward to the new year with new projects, fresh ideas and lots of fun :)

So, here's an update to some challenges, and then I will have another post up in a few minutes too ;)

ALL about ME!!!

And why not?! We're always creating things for everyone else, we should be able to do a little something to make ourselves smile too ;)  How fun is that?!

Well with my Birthday mintues away and Christmas just around the corner, I would like very much to have things slow down, calm down, relax... peace... sweet peace... a peaceful life without all the crazy chaos of rushing around and such. That's why I added the word Peace over that piece of busy DP - to cover up some of the chaos that's been going on... and so, even though the colors of my card aren't very peaceful to some, to me they are :)  I love color, I love white too, but I like things to be as colorful as possible (you should see the scarf I'm currently knitting, ha!) I had to add some "print" for my looove of books :) and of course, I used StampInsanity's "Holiday Princess", she's the girly-girl side of me :) I love Pink!!! and if I could get away with it, I would wear flowers in my hair all the time!

Elfin Magic Morgan...

G'morning!!! 

Today is my last day to get a few things done before my big boy is off for a 5 day weekend and my lil guy is off for 7 days straight! I love having them home, but I have to admit, there are some things that are sooo much easier to get done when they're not around ;) Gotta get groovin' quick today!!!

Calling in Sick and a list of awesome challenges...

Hello my sweets :)

I have had to call in sick, ugh! Not an easy thing to do, but I'm only human, right?! As much as I love my blog, DTs and all of you - I have had to take a step back and concentrate on things that are a bit more important! Life does that to ya sometimes - a sort of reality check, but full of boogers, demands of rest and {icky!} soup! Thankfully! My boys are all better and both will be going to school today :) I thank you all very much for the get-well-wishes and blessings y'all have sent our way!!!

Meet one of the sassiest Devil Dolls... Angelika...

StampInsanity Challenge #30 is to
"Trick It or Treat It!"
(like "Naughty or Nice") Have fun with either 'trick-ing' or 'treat-ing' your projects with using any of your favorite techniques or a Halloween theme, etc...

I had SO much fun coloring this lil angel-gone-badass! That smirky smile just says it all ;) Obviously I had to go with the naughty side and use my fave techniques, which is to color with my Copics and then cut the image out by hand... love using my Nesties when I can too ;)

I pulled out some of my much loved and horded Making Memories DP called "Spook Alley" and used my Sakura "Clear Star" Pen to sparkle up her wings, horns and outline a bit... I also bit my tongue and used another one of my Prima skull flowers and dressed it up with some scraps of ribbon and lace ;)

I likey her very much ;) I hope you do too!

I adore this quote that came in the set! It's so fitting for a Holiday card, but it can also be used for a Graduation card or an Encouragement type of card :)

It's been a while since I've done any kind of embossing, lol! I dusted off 2 of my Cuttlebug folders and also used a nestie that's been sitting at the bottom of the pile, it felt like I was playing with new toys again ;)

This week started off a bit rough for us, but ever since lil guy started feeling better yesterday, letting our schedule fall right back in place :) All is good again! I really never thought I'd be one of those people that would love have a schedule! lol! but it does make everything smooth along so easily! I'm embracing this :) More time for fun stuffs!!!

One Layer?! hmmm, does that include the base...

I like the way it looks with the base, hee hee! What's your opinion???
(and don't look to closely, I forgot to color in a lil spot, LOL!)
Since I was not aloud to use layers of DP, I decided to paper-piece Morgan (from the "Meet Morgan and Henry" Rubber Stamp Set) with some scraps of October Afternoon! I borrowed the idea of paper-piecing her hair from The Dark Mermaid's beautiful card found HERE!!!
Does that disqualify my one layer card??? hmmm....????

... and I am very impressed with the ink I used, SUs Close to Cocoa - I have had the pad for almost 2years and it hasn't dried out yet! That is amazing for someone like me who currently only owns 3 ink pads ;) lol!

StampInsanity Stamps Challenge #24: "Lacing it with Stitches"

GOOD MORNING :)

I am feeling a bit chipper today! ha! LOL!

Today is my big challenge day!

First up is StampInsanity Stamps Challenge #24...

"Lacing it with Stitches"

We need to see some stitching (real or faux) and some lace on your project!

Ok - I have to admit! There is no way that I can actually do any kind of real stitching, lol! If you have seen any of it on my cards before, it was because something already came like that in a card kit of some kind ;)
I don't have a machine - and unless you want blood all over it, there is no way for me to even think about attempting to sew by hand either! LOL! 

So, this time, I had to cheat a little! Luckily for me, this amazing stitched ribbon came in my TE Ingredient Kit a few days ago and I found some left over KandCompany stitched flowers to help me out too ;)

For this card, I used StampInsanity Stamps "Morgan's Love" Rubber Stamp Set!!!

Hmmm, I wonder what Morgan may be daydreaming about...

Edward? Bill? Jasper? Eric? hee, hee!

I've been holding onto these Jillibean Soup papers from my Beeez Kneeez Kit for a while now... I LOVE this print/paper! It's perfect for booklovers ;) and as you can see, I've been on a paper-piecing kick lately!

Love her!!! She was so much fun to color and sparkle up! Yes she's all sparkly, especially that pic that she's holding ;) Sorry, I forgot to take a pic to show it off...

I also love this polka-dotted/circle-y paper from Nikki Sivils "Flaming Butterfly" 6x6 Pad...

I always forget to use these, but I dusted off some of my embossing folders for her panel and the white polka-dotted ribbon and cardstock is from Papertrey Ink!

The sentiment is from StampInsanity Stamps "Simply Supernatural" Rubber Stamp Set - isn't it perfect?!
