A Retro-Fresh Book Keeper!

Happy Day to You!!!
It's Wednesday and although I feel a bit crummy, more on that later, and blogger had been misbehaving in the worse kinds of way this week - I'm in a good mood! hee hee! It must be all the chocolate I've been eating... sigh... yes, it must be since I've gained about 7lbs since Christmas, lol!

Moving on to the fun stuff for today :)

This month, Jess is challenging us to think 'paper dimensions'!!!
Pop up those TGF stamps by using pop dots, silicone glues, etc. Whatever gives you that extra pop!

I wanted something to help me keep track of all the books that I own, whether it be on my bookshelf or e-reader, and also, a wishlist of books that I want to read this year! So, I decided to alter a black/white notebook...

I also used Splotchy and some clear stamps from Lucky Bunnies and Made By

I colored Bonnie with Copics and paper pieced part of her dress with My Mind's Eye Portobello Road DP and used a white pen to highlight her a bit to make her 'pop' since everything looked so dark against her white-ish dress...

On the inside, I added some alpha stickers to create a directory and have started penning in what I have so far :)  This has been one of the best things I've ever created for myself - I no longer have to run to the computer to add stuff in before I forget! Yes, I'm ol' fashion, I like the pen to paper technique too! AND it helps to keep me off the computer too, lol!

You have all month to play along with the challenge!
Be sure to stop by and check out what the DT has created too :)

Enjoy your Wednesday!!!
xoxo

Princess Bell{a} Frame

HELLOOO!!!
I've missed y'all :)
My boys and hubs have the week off and we've been cuddling up, staying warm, and doing fun boy stuff all week! I currently have a tent set up in the middle of our living room! a mountain of kid books stacked in our hallway! chalk, paint and other Crayola stuffs all over our dining room table! LOL! I think after our playdate tomorrow, we should declare Thursday afternoon "Clean Up Super-Play-Time" ;) hee, hee!!!
Oi, I had no idea that I was going to be kept away from my laptop for so long :)
But it's been SO worth the memories!!!

It's time for another Pixie Dust Studio Challenge today!!!
and this week's theme is...
"Vacation Time"
Create a card/project that uses Summer colors and/or elements
(Beach, Water, etc.)

Unfortunately, I forgot the 'vacation theme' part BUT...
I did stick with the color theme and it does have a bit of a 'water-wave' vibe to it too ;)
and don't most people go to Disney for summer vacation???

I altered a wood picture frame using Pixie Dust Studio's "Princess Belle"
and Close To My Heart DP...

I used Modge Podge on everything!
Glitter and all!!!

Lots of Sparkle and Bling!!!

Very girly :)

Stop by the STUDIO today for your images :)

And be sure to visit the Pixies for more inspiration!!!

Thanks for stopping by :)
Happy Thursday!!!

I'm barely whispering...

Happy Sunday :)

I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their beautiful weekends!
And look at me! I survived my Craft Fair, lol! Being sick while trying to mingle and talk with people was not easy, but with the help of my sis, I survived and had fun! Yes, I'm paying the price today with a severe case of laryngitis, coughing and the body aches, but it was all worth it ;)  On the plus side, all of my boys are being so well behaved and understanding and have even found that I can be quite entertaining trying to communicate with them using hand gestures and drawing pics!!! LOL!

Here are a few other things that I was sellling at my table yesterday using my new fave thing, Modge Podge!...

Another pic frame...

I used My Mind's Eye, MFT Die-namics and Prima

Notebook using Cosmo Cricket and my Slice...

My Mad Hatter inspired notebook using G45...

And here's a pic of ALL my boys visiting us at our table :)

My sister, Sarabeth, was such a HUGE help! I really couldn't have done it without her!

You are all SO very appreciated!!!
I am very much looking forward to starting a new week

Oh, Alice! Chapter 35: "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Wonderland's Door"

"Alice laughed so much at this, that she had to run back into the wood for fear of their hearing her; and when she next peeped out the Fish-Footman was gone, and the other was sitting on the ground near the door, staring stupidly up into the sky.

Alice went timidly up to the door, and knocked.

`There's no sort of use in knocking,' said the Footman, `and that for two reasons. First, because I'm on the same side of the door as you are; secondly, because they're making such a noise inside, no one could possibly hear you.' And certainly there was a most extraordinary noise going on within--a constant howling and sneezing, and every now and then a great crash, as if a dish or kettle had been broken to pieces.

`Please, then,' said Alice, `how am I to get in?'

~ Chapter 6, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

Hey everyone! It's a beautiful day here at Oh, Alice! and we are BACK with another challenge!
Have you ever felt like Alice? Not sure which door, window, or keyhole will be opened or closed next? Not sure which direction you're going but curiouser and curiouser about them all?

What a PERFECT opportunity to explore some new avenues, and walk through new doors we bring you at Oh, ALice this week. Thats right!
Your challenge this week is to create a card or project using a Door, Gate, or Keyhole.
Now, you can also get creative and do a gatefold technique, etc. As long as we can see it's a "Gatefold" or that there is a door, gate, or keyhole somewhere on your project! How FUN is this?

The best part? There's no time limit to play this week, so have fun and here's to opening lots of new doors in the future!

Sorry I'm late for this very important date!!! But here's my project :)
I've been wanting to create something more than just a card lately, but haven't had much time - well, to be honest, it's the patience that has been hiding from me, lol - to really go out of my comfort zone lately ;) But then I remembered how much fun I have when I created these mini-folders in the past! and just knew that I had to make one :) I actually created this a few weeks ago, but never had a chance to post it, until now ;)

I used one of my latest 6x6 sampler packs - Crate Paper's "School Spirit" and dusted off my very handsome Greeting Farm "My Guy Ian" Stamp Set and made this mini-folder! It's so quick, simple and super easy! I added a ribbon loop to make tying a knot or bow easier to stay in place...
I think I'll be creating a ton of these to add to gifts for the holidays! It's the perfect way to gift some of the kids photos, notes and gift cards :)

Here's the backside...

... and a peek of what the inside looks like...

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you likey!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend :*)
