You Warm My Heart! {TESC151}

Happy TGIF to you!!!
Let's celebrate!!! Woo Hoo!!!
It's a rainy cold day out here on Long Island, but I'm not going to let it get to me since I'm in such a good mood this morning! It seems that my mojo has decided to stop by for a visit, so I'm going to take advantage of it and try to crossing off as many things as I can off my to-do list today!!!

Let's start the TGIF celebrations with a NEW
Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge!!!
The first challenge for 2012 is here!!! Yippeee!!!
I'm SO happy to be back with the Sketch Crew this year :)

There have been some changes to the Sketch Challenges,
please be sure to visit Taylor's blog for all the updates, thanks!!!

I decided to finally ink up my newest stamp from TE,
"Polar Pete"

Doesn't Pete make a sweet Valentine!?
I'm going to give this one to my 5yo, he'll adore it!
I used my Copics to color him in and the water - I was trying to test my blues out, lol!
and I used one of my fave Valentine paper pads,
We R Memory Keepers "Love Struck".

I better crack out some of my TE penguins for my 8yo's card today, I don't want them to sneak peek and not find one for himself, lol! Yes, I'm running out of hiding spots!

Here is Taylor's sketch:

Please take a few minutes to visit the rest of the Crew to see their sweet creations too :)

Duuude, Where's the Sketch???

Hello again and again :)
Here is my last post for today!!!
Please scroll down to see my posts for today's
Sparkle Creations Preview Day featuring Karber's latest clear stamp set!
Thank youuuu!!!

Last, but certainly not least at all, it's time for our last
Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge for 2011!!!
and it is also the 150th Sketch!!! Woo hoo!!!

In celebration of Taylor's 150th/Last Sketch of the year,
Taylor will be giving away the latest 3 new full-sized stamp sets
to 3 random winners!!!
How awesome is that?!?!

Ok, so did you see my post title???
For some odd reason, when I pulled out my stamp, Moka Justin, and saw the 'dude' stamp that is included in this set, the movie "Dude, Where's my car?" popped into my head, LOL!
Not my type of movie, but I have to admit, it did crack me up a bit ;)

So here is Justin all dressed up in October Afternoon's Campfire ...

Here's Moka Justin's entire stamp set,
love the sentiments that come with him :)

OH, and here's the sketch!
I had to turn it on its side to get my image to fit ;)

Be sure to swing by and visit the rest of the sketch crew to see their amazing cards too!!!

Thank you all SO very much for coming by, commenting and your love and support!
It means the world to me to have such wonderful bloggy friends and followers!!!

Have a wonderful weekend!!!

It's Your Birthday!!!

TGIF everyone!!!
I had scheduled my post to be up this morning, and I come home to find that not only did it not post, but it completely disappeared! tsk, tsk... I am typing with frozen fingers! Oh how they ache!
This morning there was a Pumpkin Festival of sorts at my kiddos school today,
and everything was outside in this 50-something degree windy weather we are having!
Eeeek! They had to cut it short a few minutes, these poor Kindergartens were really starting to feel the cold too, poor wee ones...

and yes, I am feeling so much better now! Have had a lingering cold for over a week, and just started to feel like myself again yesterday! I hope that I didn't overdo it with today already, lol! Oh well, that's why we have weekends for, right?! ;)

Now that I'm thawing out and can somewhat feel my fingers a bit ;)
I want to share my card for today's Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge!!!

For today's sketch, I used Taylor Expressions a la carte stamp,
"It's Your Birthday"..

The last time that I used this stamp, the colors were dark, you can see it here!
So for this time, I was really in the mood to play with some bright colors
and decided to pull some scraps from my Echo Park pad
and have some fun with the sketch...

I created a second card too!
but left off the 2 side panels, lol!
Just goes to show that maybe I shouldn't be creating when I'm not feeling so good ;)
Oh, and instead of using ribbon, I used Taylored Expressions die,
"Basic Bow

Here's the awesome sketch:

... and here are the stamps and dies I used:

Angel of Hope...

Hi again!!! It's still Friday!!!
and I am enjoying some muuuuch needed alone time today :)
Catching up on some emails, posts and comments while watching a movie, Catch and Release and probably some Edward time after that ;)

We have a special challenge for you this week! Since Taylored Expression is a proud sponsor of the Hope You Can Cling to card drive at Splitcoast, we thought we'd include an extra challenge with this week's sketch and encourage you to mail your cards to the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. So if you're up for the extra challenge, then create a card that includes the color pink and send it along for the card drive. It's sure to brighten someone's day and that's what this hobby is all about, right!? You can find details for participating in the HYCCT challenges and sending your cards to the cancer center HERE.

For my card today, I used Moka Angel...

I paper pieced her gown and decided to change the rectangle panel for an oval :)
Sometimes I feel like I need to make the sketch my own with a slight change, LOL!
Can't help myself sometimes ;)

Here's the amazing sketch...

Create a card using the above sketch as inspiration. You're not required to use TE stamps to play, but there's a bonus prize if you do! To be entered into the prize drawing you must upload your card to Splitcoaststampers using
keyword TESC148 by Thursday, October 27th.

Don't forget to check out the amazing DTs creations too!!!

Chicks Rule! {TESC146}

Yay! I'm back with another Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge!
Please be sure to scroll down and see my guest-ing at the
Raise the Bar Challenge blog today too :)

I have to admit, I was a bit intimidated with this week's sketch, lol!
You'll see these 3 little panels in the center of the card,
I was overwhelmed with all the possibilities that I could have done with them!
Have a look-sie to what I came up with...

I used "Hello Spring" Stamp Set and Echo Park's Splash DP!
These lil chick-ies fit right in :)
And I have to tell ya, I ordered Taylor's Ribbon Grab Bag and it was filled with wonderful different kinds of quality ribbons, including this one! I will definitely be ordering one on each of my orders from now ;) hee hee!

Here is the actual sketch:

Oh Baby!!!

I am SOOO thrilled for it to finally be TGIF!!!
For many, many reasons, lol! It's been a rough week around here - tech and electrical problems, headaches, back-to-school shopping, burnt cookies and earthquakes, eeek! and don't even get me started on the looks of the weather we will be having soon, yikes!
SO I am very happy to get to today's Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge :)
The only card that I was able to get to earlier this week, sigh... so I am kinda looking forward being stuck indoors for a few days, will give me some much needed time to get my crafty time going on again ;)

Here's my card using Rachel's awesome sketch!

I used sweet Moka Jenn, isn't she glowing and beautiful?!?!
I paper pieced her lovely shirt and pants too!
and I used my new pad of My Mind's Eye, one of the cutest pads I'v ever seen :)
It's also one of the first pads that I've purchased in the long time that doesn't have any options for boy cards, lol! Much too girly ;) Love it!

To play along, just create a card using the sketch!
You're not required to use Taylored Expression stamps,
but there's a bonus if you do :)
To be entered into the prize drawing, you must upload your card to
Splitcoaststampers using keyword TESC145 by Thursday, September 1st.
One randomly selected person will receive a $10 gift certificate to the Taylored Expressions Store!
and if you predominantly used Taylored Expression Stamps on your creation,
you will receive a $10 bonus to add onto your gift certificate :) How cool is that?!!!

Awesome News!!! with Taylored Expressions Sketch #144

Happy, happy daaay!!!
I am SO very excited to share with you today that I am now on the
Yippeee :) I was SO very excited when I received an email from Taylor herself!
Thank you SO very much, Taylor!!!

.... and here's my first official sketch :) :) :)

And here's the card I created using my July Key Ingredients Kit
and "Scotties in Love" Rubber Stamp...

To be honest, my boys chose this stamp for me to create a card for hubs since it will be our 8th Wedding Anniversary on Tuesday :)  and to be more honest, I've always bought his cards in the past, lol! It's SO hard to put my feelings into words, I know, I know, it was the easy way out, lol... well, my boys and I think that he is going to love it because I am finally going to genuinely be giving him 'a card from the heart' this year :)

You can find all of the challenge deets either on Taylor's Blog or

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Duuude!!!

"... where's my car!?!?"
LOL, every time I hear "dude", I always think of that movie ;)

Here I go again!
Found some ooold papers yesterday and I knew right away which stamp I just haaad to use it with!
This collection is called "Boys Only - No Girls Allowed" by My Mind's Eye...
I love the 'No girls allowed' part, hee hee, my boys are going through that stage right now where sometimes they want me to give them a secret code in order to go into the room! LOL, their door is never ever closed, but just to be able to cross that invisible line, they want a code - which I always manage to get it right the first time, ha!
This very handsome fella is Taylored Expressions "Justin" aka Justin Bieber! Oi! That boy gives me a headache, but he is the craze right now and the kiddies love him. And I am just a sucker for cute boy stamps, so I just had to have him too ;)

Thanks for stopping by again!
Enjoy your weekend peeps, xoxo
