InStyle Stamps 'Whimsy Bug' and Nikki Sivils!

It's SNOWING!!!
Aren't we all super-duper happy about that?! LOL!
And what better way to forget about the snow than to create a summer-y bumble-y card :)

First, I was so honored to be contacted by Taylor and Virginia of InStyle Stamps to re-join the DT for the next few months :)  So I just want to take a second to say thanks so much to both :)

Now, here's my card featuring their "Whimsy Bug"...

Here's a close-up of my new bumble-y buggy friend :)

I printed "Whimsy Bug" and added some yellow using my Copic Markers (Y02, Y15, Y17) and then used my Small Circle Nesties. I used some more of my Nikki Sivils "Willowbee" DP (my secret lil stash ;) and one of the matching stamp sets' sentiments... all cardstock and white dotted ribbon is from Papertrey Ink; crochet flower is from Fancy Pants, the rest is from my misc. pile :)

InStyle Stamps has a few challenges going on right now...

AND!!!
Don't forget to stop by Nikki Sivils' Blog TOO!!!
My sweet friend Julie has a gorgeous showcase up today!
and no, I'm not just saying that because some of my cards are on there too, hee hee!
Some of my fellow Oh, Alice DT members are displayed too!
AND, my little sis, Sarabeth's, beautiful mini album TOO!!!
Go have a look :)

Enjoy the SNOW!!!
Stay warm!!!

Thank You!!!

Good morning :) :) :)
It's Wednesday!!! My Oh My!!! Where have my days gone?!

Thank you all SO very much for my birthday wishes!!!
I had a fabulous day, and weekend! So did my Big Boy who officially turned 7 yesterday :)
We had a fun time at Boomers on Saturday! Sunday was our pj/relaxing day! and last night we had a small cake for Nicky's 'real' birthday :) It's been a wonderful and very memorable couple of days :)

I can proudly say that I already have all of our Thank You cards made!
I just need to address them now ;) Hopefully I can get that done just as quick!

Today I am going to share Nicky's 'Thank you's'...

Nicky searched and dug through my box of stamps and found this sweet (and never been used) Recollections "Robots" Stamp Set (that we received from Erica a while ago - thanks again Erica!) to use for his cards...
I kept it simple since I had to create 15 of them!

He insisted that I stamp something on the inside too -
it was too plain white and boring, LOL!
Thanks for stopping by!
I will be back tomorrow - it's another 3 post day!!!
and one of those will be my Thank You cards!

Enjoy your Wednesday :*)

Good morning :) and Happy Thursday!!!

"Button It Up, Buttercup!"
You must use Buttons and a Buttery Color (Yellow) on your card/project!

- Digital Tuesday Challenge #72: "Use your Scraps!"

I used "Henry's Snowman" Rubber Stamp Set...
'cause y'all know how much I {heart} snowmen ;)

I don't know why, but I kinda blanked out on the Yellow part, lol! So I used these warm buttery-brown buttons to make up for that :)
Kraft!!! and some scraps of October Afternoon DP... Papertrey Ink CS and Buttons! The scalloped bottom was made with an MFT Die-namic!

We can't wait to see what you'll come up with for this challenge!
Just don't forget the 'yellow' like I did ;) hee, hee!

Just Because...

Hi everyone and Happy Tuesday!

Well, at the moment, my printer is on the fritz - or what hubs is calling it, a much needed vacay for the poor ol' guy! ha!
I don't have a new digi's to play with right now :(
So, I was 'forced' to dust off some old stamp sets and pull out some extra digi's that I have laying around - it's a good thing that I always print 2 or more of them at a time ;)

So you won't believe what I found at the bottom of my little stash???

I love Papertrey Ink! Y'all know I have an addiction to their Kraft CS ;)
I love their stamp sets too! I only own 2 sets... and {ducking!} I have never used them!
gasp! I know! What was I thinking?! lol!

I finally used "With Sympathy" today to create a requested 'Just Because' card that needed to have 5 of something on it to represent the 5 people that it's going to...
This was a bit difficult for me since it's not my usual style, but I think I like how it turned out :)

I used the following challenges for inspiration :)
- Cute Card Thursday Challenge #125 - Use trees or leaves
- Flutter By Wednesday #117 - Use Butterflies, Angels or Fairies

Here's my card...

Be honest, what do you think?! :)

... and look! No designer/pattern paper! lol!
I used PTI Cardstock, Colorbox Inks and Tim Holtz "Peeled Paint" Distressed Ink and Prima Pearls...
I even pierced the corners so they wouldn't look so empty! Another first for me since I have never done that before either! lol!

I hope the requet-er likes it :)
I look forward to hearing your opinions!

Oh, Alice! Chapter 24: Windows and Broken Glass...

"Now tell me, Pat, what's that in the window?'
`Sure, it's an arm, yer honour!' (He pronounced it `arrum.')
`An arm, you goose! Who ever saw one that size? Why, it fills the whole window!'
`Sure, it does, yer honour: but it's an arm for all that.'
`Well, it's got no business there, at any rate: go and take it away!"

There was a long silence after this, and Alice could only hear whispers now and then; such as,
`Sure, I don't like it, yer honour, at all, at all!'
`Do as I tell you, you coward!'
and at last she spread out her hand again, and made another snatch in the air. This time there were TWO little shrieks, and more sounds of broken glass.
`What a number of cucumber-frames there must be!' thought Alice.
`I wonder what they'll do next! As for pulling me out of the window, I only wish they COULD! I'm sure I don't want to stay in here any longer!"

Good morning and Hello Friends!...it's CRYSTAL CLEAR that today you're all joining us for a fabulous challenge here at Oh, Alice! We have all sorts of lovely techniques for you to try today!

Your mission today with Oh, Alice!, should you choose to accept it, is to try a technique using cracked glass, crystal effects (or glossy accents), or a window stamp/technique. There are TONS of possibilities with today's challenge and we are SO ready to see all of the fabulous creations you enter!

I tried to do the "cracked glass" technique, soooo was not happening for me, LOL!
So, I broke out my trusty Crystal Effects from SU! I've had the bottle for over a year! I love it and should use it more often ;)

Look! More Kraft :)  First, as you can see, I created my own background using a Tim Holtz stamp set that I "borrowed" from my lil sister ;) It's called "Regal Flourish"... ink is SU Chocolate Chip... I couldn't find a suitable DP for how I wanted my card to look... what do you think???

The image is "Time For Tea", a digital image from Tiddly Inks! I LOVE her! I used the Crystal Effects on her headband and shoes, to give her an ol' fashion patent leather look and the clock's  face is all nice and shiny too!... see pic below...

I have been desperately trying to use up all of my scraps! This card measures 4 1/4 x 4 1/4, all cardstock (and button) is from Papertrey Ink; You can see that I used the lil scrap leftover from where I nestie-d the circle out! I used it as a lil peep-hole for the tiny Alice stamp! This stamp and the sentiment are from TJ Designs "Down the Hole" Rubber Stamp Set... and the gorgeous pale blue plaid ribbon is from MFT!

I would also like to enter my card to the following challenges:
- Tiddly Inks Challenge #15: Fit For a Princess
- Dare U 2 Digi Stamp Sketch Challenge #43
- OTWC Challenge# 18: Blue, Yellow and White (Black/Creme)
Scrappy Saturday Challenge #15: Stamp Something!

I hope you likey my card today!
We cannot wait to see what everyone will create this week!!!

There's no time limit to play this week but be sure to leave a direct LINK to your creation HERE so we can see your beautiful work. We'll be back next week with another challenge and wonderful theme!
