Just a quickie... and the first gift of Christmas...

Oh my!, thank you all sooo very much for the sweet comments, concerns and prayers! I really do appreciate y'all for caring sooo much :) It means so much to me - more than y'all will ever know. I'm trying to sort through all of my emails - if I haven't gotten back to you yet, I promise I will by tonight! I really don't want to fall behind again!!!... and I have sooo much to share with y'all :) Challenges, RAKs, etc...

OK, so the boys are finally feeling sooo much, much better. Again, thank you all for your well wishes! I really think it worked ;) We received the results to all of their tests this past Saturday - and everything was perfect. The meds finally kicked in that night :) They are almost to their old selves - boys will always be boys, lol! But mine are the best! hee, hee! They are very well behaved - {I don't know where they got it from!, lol!} - but like everyone, they have their own moments... +plus+ they've been home since Thanksgiving day, except to go out twice to see the doc (which, to them, doesn't count at all!) - they are suffering from a sever bought of cabin-fever. Nicky is sooo excited to be going back to PreK this week - we will hopefully be getting the ok from the doc on Wednesday :) Poor kid misses his lil' friends! His birthday is on Sunday the 14th!!! I haven't even made the invites yet!!! I have to admit - my mom went out for me this morning and bought us the Transformers invites for the Transformers party he wants! lol! There was no way that I was going to be able to make Transformer cards!!! By the time I print out all the pics from online and figured out what to write, etc... it was sooo much easier to just go with the store bought ones! I know, I know - I cheated, but as I sit here with my raw, runny nose and chapped lips - it's worth it! I have plans for the ThankYou's, I won't cheat there!!! :) I must write them out today so they can be mailed out tomorrow - last minute! always last minute!!!... and don't even get me started on our Christmas cards - I haven't even made one yet!!! I must get cracking or nobody is going to get anything on time!!!

Alrighty, on a different note, if you haven't noticed - I added to my sidebar here what I am currently reading and what I will be reading next :) Just wanted to share! I am currently reading J.K. Rowling's The Tales of Beedle the Bard... it's ok so far, I thought that it would be much better... maybe it's 'cause I'm sick, but I'm really not feeling it. Oh well... they all can't be awesome ;) Also, it may have something to do with the fact that it is not Twilight related, I can't seem to move pass Twilight, sheesh, what am I to do?

Next, I will be re-reading for the 100th time - Richard Paul Evan's The Christmas Box... beautiful, heart-pulling story... this is a MUST read for everybody at any age! It's a beautiful story that reminds you of not only what the true meaning of Christmas is all about, but what the first gift to any child should be. I have the original book - I've been a Mr. Evans fan since the very beginning - before all of his other books that I love and adore sooo very much; before he was found on the non-fiction shelf - for his first 3 books he was found in the Religion section, right after the Bibles; before the any of his books where made into movies, etc... he is my fave author of all time :)
So, I don't want to ruin this book for any of you who may want to read it for yourselves... so stop reading now, lol! But if you'd like a lil' tidbit about what the story is about, read on...
"The story relates to how a young couple, Richard (who narrates) and Keri (his wife), accept a position to care for a lonely widow, Mary Parkin, in her spacious Victorian mansion. As Christmas draws near, Mary becomes anxious about Richard's obsession with success and his failure to make time for his family. She urges him to reconsider his priorities, but he is always too busy to heed her advice. It is only when Mary is on her deathbed and her secret sorrow is revealed through the letter-laden Christmas box of the title that Richard realizes what she has been trying to tell him."

The story goes on to reveal what the fist gift of Christmas was... I'm interested in knowing what you think was the first gift of Christmas to the baby Jesus...???
Please leave a comment with your answers and/or if your curious and want to know the answer :)

BTW! Stay tuned... later I have some RAK's to share :) and tomorrow is Twilight Tuesday!!!

+Plus+ Wednesday is my B'day!!! and it seems that I have 4,000 hits to celebrate!!! I'm sooo excited! Even feeling as crummy as I do - I am going to be having some fun this week!!! See y'all later ;)

Hey Margie - glad to hear that the boys are feeling better, that's always a relief. I was wondering if the new J.K. Rawlings book would be any good, I'll have to pick one up and read it. Hope you start feeling better seeing that your b-day is coming!

Oh Margie! I'm SO happy to hear your boys are doing better. I kept thinking about them. Don't worry about cheating, I do it sometimes too. heehee. I have no boys, but it's all about Transformers and Star Wars at my place. Maddy, my 5 year old loves anything to do with cars and boy toy related toys. Happy early birthday to you and your son.
