Today's Pixie Dust Challenge #59
is to create a Recipe Card or a Cooking themed card!

I used Pixie Dust's "Pint Size Chef" Digital Image!
Isn't he the cutest lil baker ever?!
When I was in 5th grade, our class trip was to take an all day tour of NYC! One of our stops was to an Italian restaurant (can't remember the name!) and everyone in the kitchen was dressed like this in these colors! I'll never forget that plate of spaghetti and meatballs ;)
I also used some October Afternoon "Modern Homemaker" DP and Cardstock from one of my Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kits! and I found an old bottle of Dew Drops!!! I just had to add some on ;)

InStyle Stamps 'Whimsy Bug' and Nikki Sivils!

It's SNOWING!!!

Aren't we all super-duper happy about that?! LOL!

And what better way to forget about the snow than to create a summer-y bumble-y card :)

First, I was so honored to be contacted by Taylor and Virginia of InStyle Stamps to re-join the DT for the next few months :)  So I just want to take a second to say thanks so much to both :)

Now, here's my card featuring their "Whimsy Bug"...  

Here's a close-up of my new bumble-y buggy friend :)

I printed "Whimsy Bug" and added some yellow using my Copic Markers (Y02, Y15, Y17) and then used my Small Circle Nesties. I used some more of my Nikki Sivils "Willowbee" DP (my secret lil stash ;) and one of the matching stamp sets' sentiments... all cardstock and white dotted ribbon is from Papertrey Ink; crochet flower is from Fancy Pants, the rest is from my misc. pile :)

Oh, Alice! Chapter 47: Back Down the Rabbit Hole...

Today is a BITTERSWEET day at Oh, Alice! It has been almost a year since our Mad Hatter, Jessica, got this wonderful idea to dedicate a blog to Alice in Wonderland, it's challenges and the wonderful and talented "Twisted DT" !!! Which then transformed into a huge following of weekly challenges!...and she thought she was the only one who was crazy about Alice things!!!

After much consideration, Oh, Alice will be closing it's doors this week, but will return next week as The Altered Alice, a blog that our Twisted Thirteen member Lynne Phelps has started and will continue on from here. The Altered Alice will still be bringing you FABULOUS challenges with excerpts from our beloved chapters that tell us so much about Alice's world!

So for our last challenge...

We are going to be traveling "Back down the Rabbit Hole"!!! Back to the beginning!!!

Create a HELLO card (OR a "Goodbye" card), it's all about what it looks like on the other side of that Looking Glass, right?

MY Thursday Challenges :)

I'm a bit late today! BUT, I made some cards! Yay me!

My mouth/tooth is still a bit sore and hurtful at times, but good for now and will get better in the long run!

So it's Thursday today! and that means that it's a wonderful fun-filled challenge day for me :)

Today's Pixie Dust Challenge #58 is to "Button Up!"

Add buttons! As many as you want!!!

I decided to use the lovely "January Pixie" with some of my much hoarded, lol, Echo Park DP ;) 

I am really loving the Pink/Green color combo!

but I also love Pink/Chocolate and Teal TOO!!!

For StampInsanity Stamps Challenge #43,

you must choose your fave color and use only shades of it! and some white, if you must!

I used Morgan and a sentiment from the "Meet Morgan and Henry" Stamp Set!

As you can see, I have some shades of Pink, which is primarily my fave color! BUT I LOOOOVE ALLLL colors! and couldn't really decide! SO when I came across this awesome DP by Echo Park, I just knew I had to use it :)

Mojo's Back!

Whoot! Happy Monday!!!

My mojo is really back! and we're ready to ROCK!!!

My Aunt needed a card last week and requested me to use these images :)

I think she may have taken a liking to The Greeting Farm too ;)

It felt good dusting off my "rubber stamp" box and getting my fingers all inky for Miss Anya and My Guy Ian!

I used some more of my October Afternoon scraps!

My Aunt loved it! and even noticed ALL of the different patterns I used, including the polka-dots peeking out over there!

There's no school for us today! So we're spending some much needed quality time with my sis and getting our stuffs together for the rest of the week :)

So very sorry for being a bit behind this weekend! but I am so very happy with how my card turned out, I am glad that I decided to take my time with it :)

I decided to go with a whole lotta RED!!!

I felt that "Cheeky Rockabilly" would be perfect for this Royal Challenge :) I pulled out some Cosmo Cricket scraps and at the last minute decided to distress and use a gold doilie and feathered lollipop flower! I just had to give her the Royal treatment ;)

It's DINO-MITE!!!

Hello! It feels like a looong time has passed since I have been able to post!

Both of my kiddos have been sick again this week! It's a never-ending cold that never full goes away, and with crazy weather, they ended up with sore throats, ear infections and stye's too! geesh!

Thankfully, they are both feeling much better and were able to go back to school today, even though it is one of the coldest days we've had all winter! It's only 5 degrees! brrrr!!!

I need to warm up! and I did by cozying up at my desk with a cup of hot cocoa, nice warm lap blanket and this adorable new release from Pixie Dust Studio!!!

We've got Dinos trampling about!!!

Oh, Alice Chapter 45: Remembering Holiday Dreams...

I hope you have some wonderful holiday dreams to remember! We are still locked in winter in the northern hemisphere, and that makes me think of an icy blue color scheme. It is also time to start scrappng those Christmas and New Year memories!

I used the Open-Scallop Border Die-namic with another sentiment from the set :)

For my next card, I used the same Nikki Sivils DP and this time I used one of their matching courdory brads! It has been so long since I've used any type of brads - and these are awesome! I'm going to need to get me a bunch more ;)

For this card,

I used another My Favorite Things stamp set, "Apple for You" and their Scallop-Scalloped Die-namic :)
Doesn't lil Miss Apple look like a 3yo version of Alice? hee hee

Oh! and what was up with blogger last night?! geesh! I waaas trying to get my posts done when I was still kinda seeing straight, BUT! Blogger wouldn't let me :p phooey!

"Tie It UP!" by using 2 or more ribbons!

I used "Alice" from the Down The Rabbit Hole Collection!

... a bit of Nikki Sivils DP and Burlap Buttons... and some leftover MFT Ribbons!

Next! 

StampInsanity Stamps Challenge #41 is all about "Hardcore Hardware"!!!

Use some metal to create your masterpiece ~ a tool, embellishment… or something from your junk drawer! The possibilities are endless!

I used Henry from the "Meet Morgan and Henry Rubber Stamp Set"...

Used scraps of DP and PTI CS...

and if you haven't guessed ;)  I used different colored staples as my "hardcore metal"!!!

Life's Little Mishaps...

... sometimes they are little blessings in disguise...

sometimes...

they are just a great pain in the ass! LOL!

AND a HUGE thanks to my Cousin Jean for giving my boys her old laptop!!!
Who knew that I was the one that was going to be in such need! LOL!

I have to admit, I have enjoyed spending less time online and spending more time with my family and crafts :)

No cards yet since I mostly work with digital images... but I do have some new ones and I also have some actual rubber to play with too :) 

Let's hope that my mojo will jump right in with me tonight!!!

and that I can finally find my own balance between Family, Work and Play!!!
