Taylored Expressions March Blast from the Past Blog Hop

Hellooooo everyone!!!
I hope you are all doing well :)
I am happy to say that all is well here too!!! Yippeee! and just in time for Spring :)

This month's theme is SPRING!!!
When I think of spring, one of the first things that pops into my mind is how green and rich the grass looks and all of the flowers starting to bud and bloom...

I used my "Much Appreciated" Stamp Set
I stamped the stem with Tim Holtz "Peeled Paint" Distress Ink
and then I just had to paper piece the flower with some Memento Tuxedo Ink...
Trying to use up my scraps of October Afternoon...
and the wood buttons, Ribbon and Hillary CS are from my Key Ingredients March Kit :)

I neeeeed to send out a thank you card to a new sewing friend
and I hope that she loves this next card...

Aren't those lil spools adorable!?!?
They, along with the Ribbon and Lagoon/Maraschino CS,
also came in this month's Key Ingredients Kit!!!
I paper pieced the dress form my "Sew Happy" Stamp Set,
and then had a bit of fun with my nesties on scraps of Cosmo Cricket DP ;)

I can't wait to start hopping around!

Enjoy!!!

Buzz Buzz, Honey Bee

Oh dear Monday, please be kind to us today :)

Most of you know that I have a love/hate relationship with Sketches of any kind, lol!
I have a hard time following sketches to exactly what they look like, but I DO find a whole lotta inspiration from them!

I finally got to ink up my lil "Honey Bee" from MFT's Pure Innocence
and I was very inspired by their sketch this week :)

Now y'all must know what papers these are! hee hee
I have been milking my Nikki Sivils Willowbee 6x6 pad for SO long!
and I still have a tiny bit more :)  I loooove it! I think I'm going to cry when it's all done :(
I'm in search for more of it! or any other kind of "bumble bee themed" DP!!!
Please let me know if you know of any, thanks ;)

I even had a bit of fun on the inside of the card too!
The giant bumble bee stamps are from the Willowbee stamp set :)
The sentiment is part of the MFT stamp set... Making Memories Black Lace
and The Robin's Nest Dew Drops (remember when these were popular? LOL!)

Thanks for stopping by today!!!

My poor lil 4yo has been sick all weekend long with some sort of virus,
he's doing better now, but we will be doing some extra snuggling today just to be sure ;)
Later gators!

My Weekend Cards :)

Hello weekend peoples :)
I usually don't post/blog on the weekends, but I just had to share the cards I was able to make in between all the sickness, laundry and cleaning that I did this weekend :)
Amazing, right?! LOL!

I've had a few Taylored Expression stamps for a looong while now,
and I was just able to re-subscribe to their Key Ingredients Kit,
I just haaaaad to play with everything and join in on their SCS Grand Opening Party :)

First, I used "Report Card Cuppie" a la carte stamp...

I always forget how much I looove to paper piece until I do it!

I even did up the inside with a sentiment from my "Much Appreciated" Stamp Set.

For my next card, I decided to try and go CAS ;)
SUPER hard for me to do, lol!
But I like how it turned out :)

I used my "Much Appreciated" Stamp Set
{I believe this stamp set was an exclusive stamp set last year for Key Ingredient Kit subscribers only}
and paper pieced the heart stamp...
on the inside it says: "from the bottom of my heart."

Lately, I've been seeing a lot of penguins out there!
I finally caved when this sweet penguin couple was released...
"Will You Be Mine" Petite Stamp Set

These 3 cards where my points of relaxation through our haze this weekend :)
I hope y'all are having a wonderful one!!!

See y'all tomorrow!
I've got something cute and buzzy to share ;)
Later gators!!!

Baby Jack

Hello everyone!!!
It's been a very peaceful, relaxing and amazingly sunny and beautiful day :)
Even though lil guy is now sick with the same thing that I have, we had some quality time before Big Bro got home from school :) Now, we had a pizza/chicken dinner {lol!} and we're cuddling on the couch watching Harry Potter on TV waiting for hubs/Daddy to get home from work...

In between the cuddles,
I was also able to cuddle up with this sweetie, Baby Bud "Jack"...

Isn't he 'cheek-pinching' cute!?!?
I looove his curly hair!
I used some October Afternoon DP scraps and just went with the flow :)
The sentiment is from a Close to My Heart stamp set that I found in my closet too! lol!
Baby Bud Designs latest challenge is to use Ribbons and Bows!
Go to their blog and get the latest deets ;)

While I was coloring Baby Jack, someone "borrowed" my camera...

He doesn't look sick, does he?! LOL!
and yes, this pic does not do my lil bud any justice!
He is waaaay cuter than this close up! LOL!

We watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse...
and played Star Wars Trouble...

He said he needed a close-up of my 'project computer', lol!
{He also caught me re-signing up for TE's Key Ingredients Kits!!!}

and he took a pic of my new {to me} toy!!!
My bestie from Cali sent me her Cricut!
She is the BESTEST bestie in the universe!!!
and I cannot wait to start using it :)

Thanks to all who have commented and have sent get well wishes :)
I appreciate and love you all!!!
TGIF!!! :*)

Feeling green today...

... in more ways than one!!!
Happy St. Patty's Day everyone!!!
I'm sure you're all tired of hearing me whine, but I still don't feel good :(
I won't mention it anymore, bleh! I'll just let you know when things are good again ;)
hee, hee

I just discovered, that not only do I not own anything blue, but I don't own anything green or have anything that is St. Patty's Day-ish!!! After 2 1/2 years of stamping and cardmaking, ya think I'd own at least a shamrock stamp or something, geesh!!!

I decided to use "Tinsel the Gnome" and some October Afternoon DP...

My lil guy kept calling this sweet Gnome a "Lefracaun"!!!
LOL! We keep practicing saying "Leprechaun", but he keeps adding the "F" sound in there!

This card is about 4 1/4 squared...
I really want to destash my pieces of scraps too!

I'm not too crazy about my card for today...
I feel like it's missing something....???
What do you think??? Maybe some buttons/twine???

Time to get lil one to PreK and stop at the market for tissues and dinner stuffs!
Enjoy your day!!! It's Friday ;)

Thank you, Teacher

It's a few minutes into Wednesday already!!!
Wow, this week is going by waaay tooo fast!!!
Later today, I'm suppose to be teaching a "How To" to 1st graders today!
They will be creating cards and, if time allows, a bookmark :)
I'm really excited, but 1st graders can be a tough crowd, so we'll see how it goes!
I hope I'm allowed to take a few pics!!!
Wish me luck! Especially since I'm still not at 100% yet! 7yo wants to make sure I won't use up the teacher's box of tissues! Oi! I think I'm well enough not to do that, but I guess I'll bring my own just in case ;)

I have another quick card to share with you today!
This is my most faaaave Anya ever!!! It's been a while since I've inked her up!
Luckily, I needed a thank you card for my other kiddos Teach ;)

The white notebook paper was part of the packaging from Sassafras Lass' notecards! I just haaaad to recycle and use it! Of course I had to use my MFT Notebook Die-namic on it too!
The 'ledger/number/date' card is from 7Gypsies and the rest of the DP is Cosmo Cricket's Togetherness...
TWINE!!! Oh how I loooove twine!
This piece of twine came from a card kit that I purchased last year...
You've probably noticed how hard I have been trying to destash!!! Woo hoo!!!

I'm entering my card into these awesome challenges:

Sweet Anya Love

Hey, hey! It's a Tuesday around here!
Eh! Still not feeling so good;
it's like a sinus infection and headcold combined into one,
it's a specialy of mine... so not fun...

Last week, I got to clean up my closet and I found a shoebox-sized box with some old stamps that I had gotten 1 to 2 years ago and never used!!! OMGosh!!! It was a wonderful "Christmas-y" kind of moment ;)
I got to use one of those stamps in my last post, and here's another stamp...

I have used this sentiment from this Greeting Farm stamp set a bunch of times,
but had forgotten about the actual set and the sweet Anya and Ian that came with it!
I used Club Anya's latest Saturday Sketch and paper pieced her lil dress...
I {cough}borrowed{cough} this beautiful lace from my sister, Sarabeth and
thought that these awesome button-stitched-flowers from Sassafra Lass
would tie it all together nicely :)

Me likey! I hope that you do too :)

I am entering my card into these challenges :)

"BUTTERFLY" Blog Linky Party Today!!!

It's a Butterfly Party!!!
Eva of "For the Love of Live" has put together a Blog Linky Party!
For the master list, please visit her blog :)
A {huge hug} to Angie, for inviting me to play along :)

Even though I am sooo not feeling good right now....
cough, sniffle, sneeze... sigh...
I needed to get up from the couch and do something :)
{something other than dishes and laundry, ugh!}
And I ended up doing 2 somethings!!!

First, I dug out some of my fave Nikki Sivils "Flaming Butterfly" DP
and my TGF "Butterfly Wishes" stamp set...

Used my MFT Scalloped Die-namic too ;)
and some long lost bling!

I kept digging through my old stash
and found some more yummy papers (Sassafras Lass?)...

... and a few stamps from Susana's Custom Art and Designs (?)
that I forgot I had and have never ever inked up!

This lil flutterby looked very Alice-esque to me :)

I'm entering this card into the following challenges too:

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy fluttering around :) :) :)
