StampInsanity Stamps Challenge #27 - "One Layer Wonder!"

Happy Thursday and Good morning :)
This week started off a bit rough for us, but ever since lil guy started feeling better yesterday, letting our schedule fall right back in place :) All is good again! I really never thought I'd be one of those people that would love have a schedule! lol! but it does make everything smooth along so easily! I'm embracing this :) More time for fun stuffs!!!

Today is StampInsanity Stamps Challenge #27 -
"One Layer Wonder"

One Layer?! hmmm, does that include the base...

... or not???



I like the way it looks with the base, hee hee! What's your opinion???
(and don't look to closely, I forgot to color in a lil spot, LOL!)
Since I was not aloud to use layers of DP, I decided to paper-piece Morgan (from the "Meet Morgan and Henry" Rubber Stamp Set) with some scraps of October Afternoon! I borrowed the idea of paper-piecing her hair from The Dark Mermaid's beautiful card found HERE!!!
Does that disqualify my one layer card??? hmmm....????

... and I am very impressed with the ink I used, SUs Close to Cocoa - I have had the pad for almost 2years and it hasn't dried out yet! That is amazing for someone like me who currently only owns 3 ink pads ;) lol!

I CASE'd a Critter!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

I'm sorry, I am a lil belated, but even so,

I hope y'all had a beautiful day :)

I had a wonderful day full of fun loving moments with my boys and a lil quiet time for me to get my mojo flowing again :)

The Greeting Farm's contest!

I chose Jami's card :)

I needed to use some swirly bling ;)

I tried to keep my card 2-colored, like Jami's pink and brown... so, I pulled out my Cherry On Top mini-kit to use this yummm Sassafrass DP for a Red and Blue card. But the white seems pretty prominent too, lol! So, I guess it's a Red, White and Blue card ;)

and I propped lil Laurie up on some pop-dots!!!

Oh! and a Big oooops happened!

I had to add the flower to cover up a lil boo-boo I made ;)

Flower Power - Caseing Rebecca

When I first started blogging/cardmaking, I met my friend Toni from Whimsical Thoughts... and she was sooo very sweet and kind to send me some stamps and stuff to help get me started :)
One of those things was these cute, colorful SU felt flowers... I've been wanting to use them on something, but up until now, I was never able to incorporate them into anything that I made.

So, the amazing Rebecca of Bella Carta posted a card on her blog 2 weeks ago ;) and of course, I had to too!!!
