Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge #34

I know what y'all are thinking! It's Tuesday, sooo where's the Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge!?!?
Well, it's right here sillies! I went completely out of my Twilight-element with this one!
LOL!
No Red, no black, only a bit of sparkle... :)
We have a summer theme challenge this week created by the lovely Jen of Deconstructing Jen...
"One of the enigmatic things about Twilight is that every book aside from Breaking Dawn revolves around the school year. Twilight ends with Prom and New Moon picks back up as school starts again, likewise with Eclipse. I always wonder what Edward and Bella did with their summer vacations, especially that summer between Twilight and New Moon and as summer is creeping upon us rather rapidly with the summer solstice is just under two weeks away on June 21st I thought it would be fun to celebrate summer this week!"

Creative Challenge:
Your creative challenge this week is to go all out and celebrate summer! You can create a Twilight themed summer piece focusing on Bella and Edward's summer adventures or you can celebrate your own summer plans or a fantastic summer that has passed.

Comment Challenge:
Do you have a favorite summer adventure of your own? It could be from your childhood or currently. Do you have any exciting things planned for THIS summer? Share with us!!!

Remember: Each comment you leave on a Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge this month, you will be entered into this month’s Blog Candy Give Away!!!
My comment... every year, while anxiously awaiting the true summer weather to begin... the boys and I start singing DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince song...
"Summer, Summer, Summer Time...
Time to sit back and unwind!!!"
It has become a new tradition! LOL! Now that the boys are a bit older, it's going to be so much more fun to do a bunch of summer activities! No vacays planned, but we'll be busy!
I decided to alter my last $1 journal from Michael's!
A journal for Bella and Edward to share and write down all their summer memories ;)
Journal Details:
Paper(s): BasicGrey's Wisteria DP
Stamp(s): Unity's February KOTM "endings & beginnings" sentiment.
Ink(s): Spica Black Glitter Marker
Accessories: BasicGrey Fibers; K&Company Wild Raspberry Glitter Layered Floral Accents and K&Company Cut N' Paste Baubles from Memory Works April Express Kit; Stampin Up Tag Punch; $1 Journal from Michael's.
I also made a frame preserving some beautiful flowers that Edward picked for Bella from their Meadow :)
Frame Details:
Paper(s): BasicGrey Wisteria DP; Bazzill; Stampin Up Confetti White CS.
Ink(s): Stampin Up flowers colored with Copic V15 and Stampin Up Markers: Perfect Plum, Pale Plum and Always Artichoke.
Accessories: Stampin Up Pretties Kit; Fiskar Lace Corner Punch.

Okay! Time to see what the rest of the team came up with ;)

Welcome to Drama Island!

Good afternoon ladies and gents :)
First, let me start by saying THANK YOU to ALL who love my new bloggy makeover!!!
I really like this one too! It fits my personality a lot better ;)
The other style, pink with black swirly/flowery thingys, seemed a bit 'stuffy' looking for me! LOL! Hope y'all like and enjoy the new one!

Ok, here we go...

Welcome to Drama Island Day!First up, we have here a very cute pic frame... Ummm, kinda... yesterday, someone decided to take a Stamping Up Marker (Bravo Burgundy) and trace around all the chipboard pieces and add a lil burgundy coloring to the squirrel! Ahem... nameless lil 5yo boy (pictured, far right) decided to "help" and add a lil color to the chipboard pieces! LOL!

Not too bad! Could've been worse ;) It's his to put in his room however way he chooses! and he loves it!

... okay, this time was it was brilliant and cute... but next time - there might be a time-out ;)

PLEASE, No alterations without permission!

Second on deck... this is hilarious!
My poor lil Matt tripped and scraped his knee earlier today! Now I know that for your average kid - he would cry a lil, get a band aid, maybe a cookie and all will be good again :)
Not my kids! They never get hurt! This is Matt's first official, really hurt, blood oozing scrape! Yes!, he almost made it to the age of 3 without ever getting his knees scraped up! LOL!
He'll be 3 in 2 weeks!
See pic above - he's soothing and hiding his knee! He doesn't want anything or anyone to touch - not even the band aid!!! I think that is why my boys are sooo careful, they hate band aids more than anything else! After each immunization shot, I would always have to remind the doc not to put band aids on him, unless he wanted them to not like him even more! LOL!
I know, strange... but don't we all have odd lil quirks? ;)

Here he is being cuddled by his Mama.

Oh! The drama! Every time someone looks at him he starts whimpering,

"My leg is broken" - perfect! LOL!

"It's just a lil scrape Matthew! Let's go play!"

"NO!", he said... "Me hurt! Me too tired!"... 10 minutes later he fell asleep! My boy hasn't napped since he turned 2 !!! Maybe having a dramatic moment pays off ;)

Sooo, I thought that Matt would wake up all happy and refreshed after his nap!

NOT!

He's whimpery and doesn't want to walk! He's finally hopping around on one leg! LOL!

Oh, the drama we've gone through today!

This is going to make an awesome layout or mini album ;) hee hee

Thanks for stopping by today!
I've been very busy! and ready for sharing :)

Sissy's Scrap Challenge #7 and Flowers

Hi there!!! TGIF!!!
Have y'all been having Blogger/Explorer problems too??? This is the first time that I have been able to log on without any problems - sheesh! So sorry to be posting my stuffs so late, but here it is ;)

Challenge #7 for Sissy's Scrap is to create a project that is NOT a layout or card inspired by... FAVORITES!!!

... it can be a compilation of personal favorites, someone else's favorites, whatever you'd like, just remember, no Layouts or cards!
I hope y'all can make a lil time over this holiday weekend to join in and play with us!!! :)

Let's see... I have sooo many favorites things - it's too hard to narrow it down... so, I'm using my #1 inspiration, my boys! and another fave - Cosmo Cricket DP to help!

A new fave of mine is altering anything that I can get my hands on ;)
... AND as long as I stay away from bows - ribbon is really working for me too!

Sooo, here we have to gorgeous lil boys sitting in some very plain shadow box frames...

... and look at them now!
I think that they look a bit more cheery now :)
Frame Details:
Paper(s): Cosmo Cricket Lil' Man DP
Accessories: We R Memory Keepers 'White Out' Layered Chipboard Words; Me & My Big Ideas Soft Spoken 'Oh Brother' embellishments; Stampin Up Ribbon; other misc. ribbon.
I also wanted to share the details to the pic I showed y'all the other day - when Blogger/Explorer were behaving ;)
This was an idea that I had for Nicky's PreK Teachers for Teacher's Appreciation Week, but never got to it... last Monday, I got a class note from his school stating that on Wednesday they were going to do a ceremony in honor of Memorial Day - the students were being asked to bring in a flower to place at the memorial/flag and to wear red, white and blue... I just knew that I had to make this! and it took me 4 hours! LOL!
I overworked and overheated my poor lil Slice machine, lol! It made 42 individual flowers - creating 2 of the first flower, 8 of the second flower and 10 of the last flower = 20 in total!!!
I attached a tag to each flower - each one of his classmates and teacher's received their own personalized flower. That was the hardest part - stamping their names onto the tags and then tying the tags onto the flowers! Next time, I'll scribble the names on ;) LOL!
It made me happy to know that every kid in class was able to participate and enjoy the festivities!
Details:
Paper(s): Creative Imaginations
Stamp(s): Stampin Up 'Short & Sweet' Set; Hero Arts Clear Stamps; K&Company Alpha Stamps.
Ink(s): Stampin Up Basic Black Markers; Spica Black Glitter Marker
Accessories: $1 dollar 'House' pencil holder from Michael's; Red Chenille Stems; Stampin Up Bold Brights Buttons; misc. ribbons; All Natural Accents Red Hibiscus Flowers; Dew Drops; Making Memories Slice Wedding and Basics 1 Cartridges.
... and thanks to y'all for stopping by :)
Enjoy your loooong holiday weekend!
Happy Memorial Day!!!

Twilight Tuesday Sookie Vampire#2 and a Thank You!

I know what y'all are thinking - it's not Tuesday ;) But it is time for a Sookie Challenge!!!
The very talented and knowledge of all 'supes' - Beth of Stamp Insanity chose our Sookie Vampire Challenge #2 theme for this month...

"Fangtasia"

... if you've read (at least) book #1 of if you've watched True Blood (which I haven't... yet!), y'all know what and where Fangtasia is ;)
If not, and want to know, keep reading...
It's one of the lead vampire character's (Eric) vampire bar in Shreveport, LA.

Craft Portion: Create a project that screams "Fangtasia"!
Comment Portion: Would you go there? What would you expect to see there? Let your imagination run wild! This is "Fangtasia" we are talking about here!

I just had to make another plaque ;) 'a la Pam-style'! lol! I picture the vampire bar to be a 'classy strip-joint', LOL! The walls would be covered in soft red velvet, and there would be shiny, fancy things hanging over everything, everywhere...

I love how the word Fangtasia looks! ;) I used my Making Memories Slice Wedding Cartridge - it's the perfect font!
Plaque Details:
Paper(s): The Paper Company RED Starburst Translucent DP; Stemma Silver Day Swirl DP.
Ink: Colorbox Blackbird Ink.
Accessories: Michael's $1 Plaque; Robin's Nest Dew Drops; Prima Flowers; ScrapWorks Alpha Stickers.

I would like to give a quick shout of THANKS!!!
... to Jen of Deconstructing Jen :)
She sent the most lovely RAK - full of Twilight-y papers, ribbons and embellishments :)

This is my fave part...
... 2 of her pendants!!! Jen makes the most amazing jewelry! She makes both Twilight and non-related Twilight pieces... Jen has re-stocked her shelves! So go on over to her Etsy store to have a look ;)
