Oh, Alice! Chapter 40: "Hooka Are You?"

"Who are YOU?" said the Caterpillar.

This was not an encouraging opening for a conversation.

Alice replied, rather shyly, "I--I hardly know, sir, just at present-- at least I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then."

~Alice's Adventures in Wonderland,Chapter 5

Welcome to the mad world of Wonderland! Once again we are here to inspire you to create great things! The Caterpillar (Absalom) was the wisest creature in Wonderland. At least he thought so, and so did most of the others. He is a fascinating character because of his wisdom, and his lack of understanding metamorphosis. Kind of a weird oxymoron, don't you think?

Our challenge this week is to use either a caterpillar or a butterfly in your project. If you'd like to go one step farther, use a definition or dictionary paper in your design (any subject is fine).

If you are fortunate, you may find yourself wisely winning your choice of three 4x6 reprints from our sponsor, Maigan Lynn Beaudoin Shaw. FanTASTic!! Maigan is such a delightful artist, and the team appreciates the chance to work with one of her images!

Here is what I created using "Mad Fancy"...

Such a beautiful whimsical image! I created a 6x6 layout - I wanted to concentrate all of my colors mostly on my mer-Alice and incorporate only colors that I relate to Alice and Wonderland... I thought that the printed faded black DP and swirls would add to the whimsy feel of the image and story...
Sorry that the pic came out so bright, I was trying to get a good angle to show the sparkle that I added in...
I really love how it turned out, and hope that I can find the perfect frame to put it in :)

Remember, you have all week to play this challenge!
Link your project to the Oh Alice! Challenge blog by
midnight, Friday, November 19th to be entered in the drawing.

Happy creating!!!
And enjoy your weekend :*)

The Pixie's are Hopping for Twilight!!!

*Please scroll down to see this week's amazing recipe challenge at StampInsanity Stamps!
Thank You :)

"It's time, it's time!" for Pixie Dust Studio's
Twilight Saga Blog Hop!!!

First, this week's challenge #26 is...
"What Twilight Means To YOU!"

"Twilight means so many things to so many people - love, romance, Edward, sparkle... The association of colors - I will always relate the color combo of Red, White, Black (Silver) to Twilight... to you it may be all, some or none of these things! What's yours?! and if you are not a Twilighter {gasp!}, where did you draw your inspiration from? The trailers? Books? Colors? People like me who can't stop gushing about sparkling vampires ;) Whatever it is, we want to see your creations and here about how it came together!"

Our hop starts today (Thursday), June 10th, 8am CST
and will end Saturday, June 12th, Noon CST.

Challenge entries will be accepted through Wednesday, June 16th, 6pm CST.

Here is a small 6x6 layout that I created...
Yes! That is a silver doilie! Love it :)

My sister, Sarabeth, gave me some beautiful Twilight inspired 12x12 sheets, this one is called - Forks, Washington! I decided to take these sheets and cut them down to 6x6 to create another mini-album about the Twilight Saga. This will probably be the only page in this book to be based on Twilight since my other album is strictly about the first book/movie, the rest of the book I'll be concentrating on New Moon and Eclipse; especially since the other papers are called Vampire, New Moon and Eclipse, hee hee!

And yes, I'll be showing some puppy love soon enough... sigh...

So here's page one of many, many more ;)

"And so the lion fell in love with the lamb..."

Aren't they perfectly awesome?!

Twilight Tuesday Sookie Vampire Challenge #1

Happy 15th of the month Friends!!! *{edited, forgot to add my Comment!, lol}

I am sooo very happy and excited to be finally be able to with y'all all the newest Twilight Tuesday monthly challenge!!!
Thanks to Beth of Stamp Insanity and Tonya of Stamp Happens! I would like to introduce you to...

Twilight Tuesday Sookie Vampire Challenges!!!

(Based on the books written by Charlaine Harris)
Here are the details:
-Every 15th of the month, a new Sookie Challenge will be posted.
-Everyone is welcomed to join in on the challenges, DT members too!
-To join in, all you have to do is create something based on the months challenge, link us up and leave a comment here with your link.
-If you are using SCS or any other forum, please use TTSVC (Twilight Tuesday Sookie Vampire Challenge).
Our very first challenge for April is based on the first book,

"Dead Until Dark"!

Craft Portion: Create a piece that reflects book 1, "Dead Until Dark" story.
Comment Portion: What part of the book inspired your creation and/or what part of the book really stood out to you the most!

You can also join us in the Twilight Tuesday forum to discuss the Sookie Stackhouse Series!!!

I decided to create a 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 layout based on Sookie's lil house, the woods surrounding it, her love for Bill and her boss, Sam's, "condition"...
The whole book was amazing! I really love how the author really brought the vamps into everyday life situations! I was expecting the same ol' Vampire meets beautiful girl, loves her, tortures her, bla, bla, bla kind of story, lol!
Ms. Charlaine, made the vamps come out of hiding and start living in the real world. It is very well written - so much so, you may wonder if there really are vampires and other supernatural beings hidden among us ;)
Layout Details:
Paper(s): Stampin Up 'Urban Garden' DP; Bazzill.
Stamp(s): Unity January KOTM 'Love, Etc.'; Unity 'So & So Loves' stamp; Inkadinkadoo Paw Print stamp; studioG Alphabet stamps.
Ink(s): Palette Noir Black; Copic Markers; Spica Glitter Markers.
Accessories: The Robin's Nest primary Dew Drops; misc. string.
Now, it's time to go over and check out what these great gals created...
and

Thanks for looking!
I look forward to seeing all of your Sookie creations ;)
