Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge 50

Happy Twilight Tuesday!!!
Grab your fave drink and snack - I've got a looong post to share with you, including 6 layouts :)
(4 - 12x12s and 2 - 6x6s)

This week's Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge is all about Charlie...

One of the best things about Charlie is that he doesn’t hover.”

"This has to be one of the most memorable lines from both Twilight the novel and Twilight the movie… Let’s face it, we all love Charlie….. And Stephanie describes this quite and thoughtful man’s personality and temperament in this one single sentence. As we all know, Charlie’s relationship with Bella changes from starting out as strangers thrown together in an awkward situation and then slowly grows into a bond that any father and daughter would be envious of."

Craft Portion:
Create a project that represents Charlie’s and Bella’s relationship or a relationship you have with a ‘father’ figure in your life.

Comment Portion:
Tell us about your relationship with a ‘father’ figure and why this bond is so special to you.

~ I've created a few layouts dedicated to the boys and men in my life!
Boys: 100% always fun!!! and aways looking for trouble!!! ;)
... and aren't those brads awesome!!!
Here are the "Big Boys" of the family :) On the right is my Dad, middle is my brother-in-law, Sean, and on the left is my ol' hubs. Each one is sooo different in sooo many ways, BUT! so much alike too! Clowns! They're all clowns! LOL!
My Dad, the boys Papa, is the sweetest man you will ever meet! He's a bit shy at first, but once you get to know him, he is the biggest joker in the world - and at the same time, the most emotional and caring man; He definitely wears his heart on his sleeve - there is no way for him to hide his emotions from us. He's taught us to be strong and independent and to always trust in him, us, family and faith.Papa has is always around for Nicky and Matt! Still willing to give them piggy-back rides ;)
He has a special connection to both of them in different ways... with Nicky there is this special and calming effect that they give to each other, they definitely know what each other needs without saying, whether it be a hug or another lollipop ;) It's like they can read each others minds. The above 2 snowy layouts are Nicky and Papa making their first Snowman together for Matt and me! Matt and I were sick and couldn't go out to play in the first fall of snow, so they went out for us and had a ton of fun :)Matt and Papa's adoration for each other is one of a kind...They're Best Buds to the fullest! They're bond will last forever through eternity! Matt latches onto him and never let's go! It's play, play, play or snuggle, snuggle, snuggle :) Wherever Papa goes, he's sure to have a tail ;)Here's Sara's hubs, my Brother-in-law and the boys "Tio Sean" :)
They love his playfulness and knowledge of sports and cool movies and toys! Sara did good ;) hee, hee! He's been the perfect addition to our family and an awesome role model!
And here's Daddy!!! The truest goofball of them all! I don't know how he does it sometimes!
Especially when put in a situation like this!!! LOL! I have absolutely no idea how he is breathing! But it goes to show you that he is a loving, dedicated Dad and would do absolutely anything for his family! Anything! Even let Matt sleep peacefully on top of his head so he won't disturb him! LOL!
I'm so happy to have been able to share some of my family with you!
This was a lot of creativity for me this weekend! LOL! Especially since my mojo has disappeared on me!!! :)
Please go on now and check out what the rest of the talented DT has created for today's challenge!!!

Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge #44 - Books!!!

Woo Hoo!!! Happy Tuesday to you, Twilighters!!! Today's your day :)This week, the always lovely Rebecca of Bella Carta, is challenging us with...
Books!!!
Here's what she said -
"Reading the Twilight saga books and is what has brought us all together .... so this week is really dedicated to books. I hadn't stayed up all night reading anything in a very long time, yet that was exactly what I did with these books - I couldn't put them down! Many of you have shared similar stories with me on that topic."
... each book in the series was inspired by and loosely based on a different literary classic: Twilight on Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, New Moon on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Eclipse on Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights, and Breaking Dawn on a second Shakespeare play, A Midsummer Night's Dream. Meyer also states that Orson Scott Card and L. M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables series are a big influence on her writing.
Craft Challenge: Make any project that celebrates your favorite book!!!
Comment Challenge: Which novel would you put in Bella's hands??? (classic or contemporary)... Did Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse or Breaking Dawn inspire you to read (or re-read) any of the classics??? Do you compare Edward and Bella to that of Wuthering Heights Heathcliff and Cathy???
One of my fave author's of all time is Richard Paul Evans... he has such a way with words, after reading each one of his books, you cannot help but feel appreciative of all the good things in your own life...
The Last Promise is about...

"Ellen, now called Eliana, has been living in Italy for several years. She's a talented artist in her 30s, originally from a small town in Utah. She came to Italy to study art and soon met and married Maurizio Fernini, the head of a large family agricultural enterprise. What seemed like a fairy tale quickly soured; Maurizio now spends much of his time traveling and philandering, leaving her to care for their severely asthmatic son, Alessio. Eliana knows that in her adopted country she's expected to shrug philosophically at her husband's cheating, but she remains furious and desperately lonely, and even considers illegally fleeing back to America with Alessio. Then she meets American Ross Story, an art lover and tour guide who knows everything about everything in the Uffizi Gallery. Eliana asks Ross to sit for a portrait, and soon she's not nearly as lonely as she used to be. But as the two fall for each other, she faces a tormenting choice between romantic love and her love for her son."

This story really touched my heart... what love do you treasure the most - the love of your child or the love of your soul mate??? Who would you risk? Choose???

The ending is touching and beautiful...

Treasure what you have now - in the end, you might be surprised how things work out :)
Treasure Card Details:
Paper(s): Colorbok "Black Eye Susans" DP; Papertrey Ink Kraft CS
Stamp(s): Heidi Swapp "Treasure" Clear Stamp
Ink(s): Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Stampin Up Chocolate Chip Ink for distressing

Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge#14

Week 14 is Eve’s choice! ---> The Baseball scene.

This week’s challenge is to create something related to Twilight & Baseball :)

Comment Portion:
Who was your favorite player in the baseball game in the movie? Why? Will you ever listen to thunder and lightning and not think of this scene?

Craft Portion:
Create any craft project using BASEBALL as your inspiration.

*All crafters of any type are welcome - cards, scrapbook layouts, jewelry, drawings, etc... we'd love to see it! Please leave a comment here at our new site: Twilight Tuesday with a link to where we can see your creation, and if posting to SCS, please use keyword TTIC14.

My fave players were Alice, Emmett and Esme... Esme really shines and connects with Bella in this scene... I loved Alice's high kicks!... and Emmett's charming playfulness...
Esme is sooo sweet - I'm sure that she would have made a layout of their game trying to think of the positive parts of the day rather than what happens after... here's Esme's 12x12 layout:
Here's what she used :)
DCWV 'High School - Baseball' DP; Bazzil CS; FancyPants 'All Fall' Rub-on; Making Memories eyelets; Inkadinkadoo stamp; Heidi Swapp 'Memories' stamp; Sassafras Lass 'All Boy' stamps; misc. die-cut stickers and ribbon.

... don't forget to check out the other DT members creations:

Beth, Stamp Insanity

Danielle, Count Your Beautiful Blessings

Eve, This is Bliss

Jen, Deconstructing Jen
