Having some fun today...

Lovely late evening we're having tonight! So peaceful and quiet!
... I created two cards tonight for a few challenges!!!
One I like, and one I don't like so much! LOL! Ugly paper makes an ugly card! Even the best of the best companies can have a few icky patterns and colors! I tried, but... it's just not doing it for me ;)
Although, the more I look at it, it's starting to grow on me... or maybe it's just that the image is just so darn sweet, it makes up for it! lol!
Ok, first, we'll start with...Soaking Up the Joy from Mo's Digital Pencil!!! This card is for...

Sissy's Scrap Challenge #7 and Flowers

Hi there!!! TGIF!!!
Have y'all been having Blogger/Explorer problems too??? This is the first time that I have been able to log on without any problems - sheesh! So sorry to be posting my stuffs so late, but here it is ;)

Challenge #7 for Sissy's Scrap is to create a project that is NOT a layout or card inspired by... FAVORITES!!!

... it can be a compilation of personal favorites, someone else's favorites, whatever you'd like, just remember, no Layouts or cards!
I hope y'all can make a lil time over this holiday weekend to join in and play with us!!! :)

Let's see... I have sooo many favorites things - it's too hard to narrow it down... so, I'm using my #1 inspiration, my boys! and another fave - Cosmo Cricket DP to help!

A new fave of mine is altering anything that I can get my hands on ;)
... AND as long as I stay away from bows - ribbon is really working for me too!

Sooo, here we have to gorgeous lil boys sitting in some very plain shadow box frames...

... and look at them now!
I think that they look a bit more cheery now :)
Frame Details:
Paper(s): Cosmo Cricket Lil' Man DP
Accessories: We R Memory Keepers 'White Out' Layered Chipboard Words; Me & My Big Ideas Soft Spoken 'Oh Brother' embellishments; Stampin Up Ribbon; other misc. ribbon.
I also wanted to share the details to the pic I showed y'all the other day - when Blogger/Explorer were behaving ;)
This was an idea that I had for Nicky's PreK Teachers for Teacher's Appreciation Week, but never got to it... last Monday, I got a class note from his school stating that on Wednesday they were going to do a ceremony in honor of Memorial Day - the students were being asked to bring in a flower to place at the memorial/flag and to wear red, white and blue... I just knew that I had to make this! and it took me 4 hours! LOL!
I overworked and overheated my poor lil Slice machine, lol! It made 42 individual flowers - creating 2 of the first flower, 8 of the second flower and 10 of the last flower = 20 in total!!!
I attached a tag to each flower - each one of his classmates and teacher's received their own personalized flower. That was the hardest part - stamping their names onto the tags and then tying the tags onto the flowers! Next time, I'll scribble the names on ;) LOL!
It made me happy to know that every kid in class was able to participate and enjoy the festivities!
Details:
Paper(s): Creative Imaginations
Stamp(s): Stampin Up 'Short & Sweet' Set; Hero Arts Clear Stamps; K&Company Alpha Stamps.
Ink(s): Stampin Up Basic Black Markers; Spica Black Glitter Marker
Accessories: $1 dollar 'House' pencil holder from Michael's; Red Chenille Stems; Stampin Up Bold Brights Buttons; misc. ribbons; All Natural Accents Red Hibiscus Flowers; Dew Drops; Making Memories Slice Wedding and Basics 1 Cartridges.
... and thanks to y'all for stopping by :)
Enjoy your loooong holiday weekend!
Happy Memorial Day!!!

Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge#32

G'afternoon! Happy Twilight Tuesday to you!!!
Can you believe that this is Challenge #32?!?! WoWzErS!!!

This week's challenge was chosen by the very talented and sweet Eve of This Is Bliss...
The Great Northwest

In Eve's own words ;)
"... if you have ever lived there you know what I mean. Maybe if you have only visited there you know what I mean. Maybe if you only heard about the filming of the movie you know what I mean. It is beautiful there. There is a reason for it’s beauty….all the rain!
So from the space needle to the forests. From the rain to the trees. From the lush green beauty of it all to the Olympic Peninsula. There are so many reasons to LOVE the great Northwest.
Edward’s family chooses to live there. Bella feels she has to live there, and hated visiting as a child. Don’t forget the trips to Seattle, the coast, and into the forest. Have fun with this one!
Please join in and play along with us!"

Comment Portion: If you could visit anywhere in the Northwest - where would it be and why?
I must admit that this challenge stumped me ;) I've never been anywhere near the Northwest - Living on Long Island, I've never gone past Saratoga, Upstate NY! New Jersey is as far West that I've ever been ;) LOL!
But, I have always wanted to take one of those Cross-Country trips, hitting almost ever state along the way!
My original project for this challenge is completely unfinished - it's a camping journal/guide, something to help keep track of all those places we would stop at to visit... I hope to post it by the end of the week ;)
In the meantime... I hope y'all like my lil Forks card :)
Card Details: 5x5 size
Paper(s): Stampin Up Kraft CS; The Paper Company Corrugated Moss CS.
Stamp(s): Unity Stamps "Tiny Trinity" Set

Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge#21

Happy Twilight Tuesday!!!
WoW! This is my 200th post :)

Bella’s mom - Renee Dwyer
A dedication to the Mommy’s in our lives…

First a little about Renee’s character…

“Renee was married to Charlie Swan right after high school, but left when Bella was just a baby and divorced him soon after. Renée is an eccentric person who will brave new things (like skydiving) and come to her senses after her experiences. Bella has always felt that she was more of the mother in their relationship, having to guide Renée from doing ridiculous things, and Renée thought of Bella as her middle-aged child. Edward describes Renée’s mind as being insightful and almost childlike.”

Comment Portion: What do you care most about the “Mommy(s)” in your life (Moms, Sisters, Daughters, etc.) and/or do you have a similar relationship to someone like Bella and her Mom’s relationship?

Craft Portion: Create a Twilight project dedicate to “The Mom” in your life!
Please leave all comments and links here, and if uploading to SCS - please use keyword TTIC21!

My Mami and my little sister are my Bestest friends in the whole wide world (so is my Dad, DH and boys... but that will be another time, lol!). My 'best friends' are always there for me no matter what, through thick and thin, no matter the time or place... I don't ever picture my life without them :) I could go on and embarrass them ;) but I think I'll keep it 'short & sweet' like my Mom - hee, hee! Look at her now, all red in the face :)
I don't think I know anymore like Renee's character - although I can relate to her a little bit... I am the responsible one, but I am "absent-minded" - I can never find my keys, cell phone, bills, etc. lol!, just like Renee who had to call Bella to ask where her dress was - at the cleaners! duh! ha ha...
All Mom's love pics! So I asked Esme to help me alter this wood frame from Michael's...
Frame Details:
Stamps: Inkadinkadoo stamp; My Mind's Eye Laundry Line Sundress "Bloom" Clear Stamps
Ink: SU Close to Cocoa; Colorbox Black
Paper(s): My Mind's Eye Bohemia Blossom "Birthday" Paisley/Pink DP
Accessories: Michaels unfinished wood frame; Prima Belle Fleur flowers; All Natural Accents Tinted Birch Leaves; Making Memories Aluminum Sheet; The Robin's Nest Primary Dew Drops
... and Esme was so kind to give me extra materials to make a card to go along with the picture frame ;)
Mother Card Details:
Stamps: SU Everyday Flexible Phrases Mother stamp
Ink: Colorbox black
Paper(s): Bazzill CS; My Mind's Eye Bohemia Blossom "Birthday" Paisley/Pink DP
Accessories: Prima Belle Fleur flower; K&Company Christmas Cheer Brad; Martha Stewart Pearl Stickers; misc. lace
BTW!!! My mom loved the frame! Yea! Even though it doesn't exactly match with her decor! ;)
Now, go check out the DT’s creations:

…and don’t forget to check out this months Blog Candy from Dani!!! Isn't the new poster gorgeous!?... they are suppose to start filming this month!!! I found this on the Twilight Tuesday website... the girls are really good at updating the latest and greatest ;)
C'mon over and take a look at Twilight Tuesday's awesome forum!!!... Jen has created a drool-icious header... alot of chatting going on... latest movie/DVD news... and don't forget to wish Eve a Happy belated Birthday ;)
BTW, quick question for y'all!
I have gotten the impression that I may be posting too many pics of the same item in one post... what do you think??? Too much??? Too repetitive?
Thanks!!!

Twilight... on a Saturday night?!?!

I hope that everyone is having a good weekend :)

I am still trying to get rid of this ridiculous cold that claims to have permanently moved into my head! Sheesh!
No, it's not Tuesday ;) I know that my Twilight stuff is usually showcased on Tuesdays, lol!, but it's my blog and I can do what I want to :D hee, hee!
I have had this lil BasicGrey Lunch Pail sitting on my shelf for months now - empty and naked... collecting dust... and I saw a pic of a similar lunch pail in a scrapbook that my sister gave to me... some ideas clicked around in my head... and here is what I came up with :)

My very own Twilight Card Tin... I finally have a spot to store my Twilight cards!!!
I've been hording this paper forever!!! It's even prettier in person! It's by Cloud9Design (Sparkle Wedding Romance DP) - a division of Fiskars! Yea, I didn't know that either ;)
My little sis gave me some beautiful new Primas (Belle Fleurs)... the sparkly lettering is from Making Memories (Shimmer Alpha Stickers)... dew drops are the perfect touch to everything ;)
Could this be Bella before her transformation??? lol!, 'cause I know afterwards her eyesight is perfect... Magnolia Study Tilda stamp - I colored her in with my copics and spica glitter markers... gold, white and silver ribbons also from Prima.
Here I used Prima Black Diamond Fabric Fancies with All Natural Accent Red Roses and Red Hibiscus flowers that I got from Little C's - I personally think it's a beautiful combo ;) lol!
Now I have a spot to hang my key chain to ;) I added some ribbons (misc.) and fibers (EK Success)...
... side view
... back view... wire black/white/gold ribbon from Michael's dollar bin.
Almost done...
I found these really cool Making Memories frames and just had to have them...
I finally made some Thank You cards with them...
Beautiful... right? lol! I know what y'all are thinking ;)
Frame Card Details:
Stamp(s): ~
Paper: Bazzill CS, Pink Mini Dots Faux Suede DP
Ink: ~
Accessories: All Natural Accents Red Roses and Red Hibiscus flowers, Making Memories Sabrina Vintage frames, Making Memories Chloe's Closet frames, Silver CS from UK, Prima Black Diamond flowers, Darice self-stick gems, Fiskar Lace corner punch.
Thanks for stopping by :)
We are expecting a snowstorm tomorrow night! eek! Just when I thought that spring was around the corner...
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!
